Leek & District Show Society – 27/07/19 Judge Rhoneen Schoneville (Balvenie)

I would like to thank the club for inviting me to judge and give thanks to the exhibitors who entered their dogs and turned up despite the persistent rain.

English Setter

Puppy (2)

1st – 115 Cornsett The Wise One – Kelly Mr & Mrs G & J

Good overall body and bone on this almost 12mth old dog. Lovely expression and nicely proportioned head. Good reach of neck and depth of chest. Nice tight feet. Good layback of shoulder. Evenly proportioned and well resented with a nice coat. Movement in profile was good. BPIB

2nd – 37 Hawklawn Kimberella – Corfield Mrs & Miss J& V

Lovely head and eye on this young bitch giving a nice soft expression. Nice coat and texture. Correct reach of neck. Unsettled on the move.

Junior (1)

1st – 245 Ravensett Giovanni – Wilson Mr & Mrs J

Nothing over exaggerated, this young dog took my eye with his correctly proportioned head with a defined stop and correct ear set. Such a soft, gentle, lovely expression. Good length of neck with correct lay back of should and elbows well placed. Good spring of ribs. Nice even top line with a correctly set tail, top line held on the move. Nicely constructed front and rear with a deep chest, good bend of stifle and muscle tone good. Movement was the best of the day with good reach and drive in profile view and correct out and back. BOB

2nd – 114 Alolfrana Memphis Rock – Kelly Mr & Mrs G & J

Heavier set dog than my first place. Well defined stop, nice eye shape and colour, good ear set. Nice reach of neck, good depth of chest. Good coat. RBOB

1st 50 Grayrigge Mystral Wind with Alanasett – Davis Mr & Mrs P & F

Excellent ring presence for this young Dog, showed well. Well balanced overall. Nice head with a lovely eye and expression. Long, muscular neck set nicely into well placed shoulders. Good spring of rib, depth of chest and elbow placement. Nice bend of stifle and well muscled rear construction. Move very well, free flowing with good coordination. RBOB

2nd 147 Hazelback Mae Marinade avec Soulglas – Mather Mr & Mrs C & S

This young bitch was unsettled in the ring on the day. Good head, nice reach of neck, nice front. Nice bend of stifle.

1st 207 Bradbrook Masterpiece at Firefall – Savage Mrs L

Lovely head and expression, good reach of neck, nice front construction and rear angulation. Good depth of chest with well sprung ribs, nice topline, correct tail set. Move well with drive and purpose. Lovely rich coat , well presented. BOB

Good head, lovely soft expression with a dark eye and correct ear set. Lovely length of neck, good shoulders, good bend of stifle. Nice coat, moved well.

2nd 146 Hazelbeck Dizzy Diamond over Soulglas - Mather Mr & Mrs C & S

Preferred the head of the first place, nice reach of neck, good shoulder placement, nice rear angulation, moved well.
