Folkestone Hythe & District Canine Society

Folkestone, Hythe & DCS Open Show – 3rd March 2019

Thank you to Folkestone, Hythe & DCS this invitation. Two super breeds to judge. Thank you to my stewards who did a great job – especially since the outside ring, for the Sibes, coincided with the rain and it was very chilly!

Critique for Tibetan Terriers

Junior (1)

1. White’s Lasang Dancing In The Sky. 11-month bitch puppy developing nicely. Feminine headpiece with good proportions skull to muzzle. Would like a little more angulation, but balanced; square in body. Beautifully presented in correct puppy coat. A very fit and happy puppy. BPIB

Post Graduate (4,1)

1. Inwood & Price’s Lasang Mr Dick At Bedivere. 2-year-old male, generous black coat makes him appear a little long on the stand, but closer examination revealed just off-square body proportions. Handsome and with good neck flowing nicely into his correct topline. Very nice front and rear angulation; solid in body and sound on the move. RBOB.

2. White’s Araki Fabulous Figtal. 2-year-old gold male. Looked to be changing coat but presented a nice square outline. Correct head proportions with good expression; good neck; well angulated front. Correct feet; well set and feathered tail. Moved well.

3. Chessell’s Araki Magic Snowflake For Stylaxian.

Open (2,1)

1. Chessell’s Araki Areu Ready For This At Stylaxian ShCM. Very showy 5-year-old gold and white bitch. Good head with correct bite and well-developed jaw. Good topline, nicely angulated front and rear. Body square, well ribbed back and short loin. Shown in correct double coat, very well presented. Lovely and free on the move. BOB.

Critique for Siberian Huskies

Junior (2)

1. Norley’s Arcticskies Bold As Brass With Snodiva. Very pretty 13 month red bitch. Liked her topline and length of body, with sufficient leg length to balance. Shown in good coat that was well presented. Lovely on the move, which was easy and light. RBOB

2. Snelson’s Salazka’s Mr Abernathy. 17 month black male. Longer in leg and lighter throughout. Good racy outline. Particularly liked his head with well placed and correct ears. Between coats. Not the angulation of 1 and lacked her freedom on the move.

Post Graduate (2)

1. Arcticskies Black Truffle For Shyllar. Litter sister to the Junior bitch and many of the same comments apply. Very feminine with good head and good body proportions. She has elegance standing and on the move. Tough decision when it came to the challenge, but I felt she just pipped her sister today.

2. Brown’s Polarcreek Tanya. Another nice bitch, very different in type to 1, but showing good breed type. Lighter throughout and racy in outline. Her front movement let her down today, wasting energy with too much lift.

3. Snelson’s Salazka’s Mr Abernathy. As above.

Open (3,1)

1. Arcticskies Got It Flaunt It For Shyllar. Very pretty headed bitch, but heavier all through and would like a little more leg for balance. However, well put together with good angulation front and rear and very sound on the move.

2. Brown’s Polarcreek Tanya. As above.
