BASSET HOUND

Post Graduate

1.  Hards’ Clanwillow Amber Delight for Braemoray.  Bitch, slightly longer in front, would prefer stronger top-line on the stand but that rectified itself on the move, lovely arch of neck, good front extension, pleasing head and expression and covered ground very well.

2.  Weston’s Longmynd Zodiac.  Good croup and feet, slightly excess haw but lacked the front extension of 1.

JUNIOR HANDLING

6-11 Years

1.  Erin Robertson – Handled calmly and confidently, gaited PBGV well and kept dog’s attention, showed teeth well and kept the enthusiasm of the dog the whole time.

2.  Megan Slack – Had to work hard with her Klein but showed teeth well and gaited dog adequately.

3.  Kara Mason – Papillon, handled well, just couldn’t get the dog animated and going, showed teeth well.

12-16 Years

1.  Phoe Toublic – ESS, worked really hard, gaited well and observed the golden rule, there is a lot to be said about this handler but I wish she would have a little bit more confidence in her ability because she has that ability, she just needs to have the confidence in  herself.

2.  Mia Agar – Great rapport with the dog, worked hard to keep eyes on me, just lacked the fluidity of 1.

3.  Maple Holt – Did really well and focused on her Smooth Fox Terrier not me, sadly broke the golden rule, although with an 8 month old puppy in a handling class, that is a challenge in itself, well done.
