Norfolk & Norwich Canine Society
Dear Reader.
Please find attached my critique for Norfolk & Norwich Canine Society which i judged on the 21st July 2019.
Firstly i would like to thank the committee for my invitation to judge at such a well run show which also consisted of a great atmosphere, Also a lovely lunch. Thank you to the exhibitors for accepting my judgement in a sporting professional manner.
AIREDALE TERRIER.
PG. 2
1st. Eastall's A Touch Of Frost. (AI). Decent length of head with a good eye. Straight in front with ample depth throughout. Level top line with good rear angles and moved out well.
2nd. Eastall's Frozen In Time (AI). Litter sister to my class winner and very similar in type. I just preferred the movement on 1, Nice head with level top line and good tail set. Enough body and substance throughout,
O. 1
1st. Eastall's Brislines Born In The USA For Daedal. ( IMP USA ) ShCM. Typy with a good expression. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders and correct top line and tail set. Well muscled angulated rear and one who moves well covering plenty of ground. BOB.

1st. Thomson's Smash Strong For Victory. A nice bitch with a lovely head, Ears which gave a appealing expression. Well placed shoulders and good in front. A bitch turned out to her advantage and one who is very sound on the move. In coat coat but a solid body underneath. BOB.
O. 3.
1st. Davison's Braxquin Forget Me Not. Another Typy well balanced bitch and lovely in profile. Sweet head with small ears a good eye and correct dentition. Good lay of shoulder, nice depth of chest, sound on the move both fore and aft.
2nd. Keely's Aust CH Whitebriar Jilly O The Valley. (IMP). Sweet head, Nice in front with good depth of brisket, harsh coat and a firm angulated rear. On the move i just felt the front movement let the dog down.
3rd. Keely's Aust CH Casperz Chaos In The Night.

1st. Salter's Eskimals Life After Jack. A Close decision in this class. A balanced bitch with a nice head, Good length of neck and short backed. Enough depth and straight in front. A bitch who excels in movement covering plenty of ground.
2nd. Flatman's Kenaiteen Love Note. Well proportioned head with medium sized eye and a correct bite. Balanced with enough body and substance, Good top line and rear angles. Moved Okay.

1st. Salter's Kavacanne A Sprite. A quality bitch of good size, lovely head with nice dark eye, Short in back, Good in front with a well angulated rear, A bitch who moves very well. BOB.
ENGLISH SETTER.
PG. 2.
1st. Cook's Bridgella's Sophie Loren At Pernickely. Feminine and balanced without exaggeration. Good shape of head, straight in front with good feet. Well developed brisket and ample body throughout. Good texture to coat, a well angulated rear, a genuine bitch who covers the ground well on the move.
2nd. Naull's Sunny Side Up. Male with a well proportioned head, Good in front, Turned out well, Preferred the body and substance on 1.
O. 3.
1st. Cook's Pernickely Etiquette. I liked this bitch for her profile standing and she is very well put together. The best of head's with good expression. Lovely angulated front, good length to neck into well placed shoulders. Good depth throughout her body, A firm angulated rear and a bitch i could watch moving all day long. BOB.
2nd. Naull's Silmanhurst Golden Hugo. Nice enough dog with good head, straight front. ample depth, good rear angles and in good coat. On the day i had to chose the movement on my class winner.
3rd. Pitt's Wandsfell Call On Me.
IRISH SETTER.
P. 1.
1st. Adams Harreds Sophie At Danbryeli. A very smart puppy, balanced and well put together, Head of good proportion with well placed shoulders and straight in front with good feet. A good top line with a firm loin, Good angles to the rear and one who excels on the move.
J. 5 & 2
1st. Swainston's Glenvarna Monterey. Nice young male with a well chiselled skull, good eye and correct dentition. Strong neck arched in shape into good shoulders. Plenty of bone and a good depth of chest. Firm loin with good muscle tone, Moves parallel both fore and aft. BOB.
2nd. Davis's Grayridge Mystrial Wind With Alanasett. Close decision in this class. Another typy male, Balanced and head of good proportions. Good lay of shoulders and correct top line. Good rear angles and one who moves well covering plenty of ground.
3rd. Turner's I Wont Forgetu.

1st. Swainston's Glenvarna Monterey.
2nd. Davis's Grayridge Mystrial Wind With Alanasett.

1st. Davis's Pawswood Prairie Wind With Alanasett. JW. a Balanced male with firm arched neck into well placed shoulders. Front straight with good depth and nice top line and tail set. Well angulated rear with good muscle tone. On the day moving away was a little close.

O.3 & 1.
1st. Solomon's Elkyser Dress To Impress. Nice headed bitch, Good shoulders and well off for bone, Enough depth throughout the body with a firm well angulated rear, Moved well on the day.
2nd. Hurrell's Bellacurly's Hamlton Merc. An older gentleman but one who has some good virtues. Excels in head and expression. Well off for body and substance with loads of bone. On the day i felt the heat got the better of him due to his torpid movement.
LABRADOR RET.
P. 2.
1st. Metcalfe's Baileydale Mrs Tiggywinkle. Two lovely puppies from the same litter and almost identical. I chose this baby on her confidence and her movement on the day. The best of head's and a super expression with correct dentition. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders, Straight in front with good feet and enough depth throughout her body. Not carrying too much weight, Lovely rear angles and so sound on the move both fore and aft. She cover's the ground very well.
2nd. Metcalfe's Baileydale Hunca Munca. Very typy, Lovely head, Neck and front, Well placed shoulders and good spring of ribs, Well bodied and again very sound on the move. I can say with confidence, These two youngsters have a very bright future ahead and i will watch with interest.
O. 1.
1st. Metcalfe's Carromer Jack Flash To Baileydale JW. BEL JNR CH. The sire of the two puppies and i could see where their attributes came from. A well developed head of power with a lovely expression. Strong neck into well placed shoulders with plenty of bone and good depth of chest. Well ribbed, Firm loin and a well angulated rear. Very sound on the move both fore and aft. A pleasure to judge.

1st. Tester's Gingafing Lets Go Crazy.Nice head of good shape, Small eye with correct bite. Nice length of neck into well laid shoulders, Correct top line with good rear angles and one who moves well.
2nd. Collin's & Powely's Deveron Duchess Of Danehaven. Just six months, Nice in head with good front and level top line, Giving a lot away in age to an older puppy, A puppy at ease with her handler and moves well.
J. 1.
1st. Fincham's Danehaven Ralph. A typy young male with a wedge shaped head, Correct bite, Ample length of neck into good front assembly. Level top line with good rear angles. A little close on the move.
PG. 5.
1st. Chapman's Katimba Trebbiano At Dkai. A nice class to judge with different type's. Good clean headed dog. Well set medium sized eye with good dentition. Muscular neck into good shoulders. Level top line held well on the move with ample rear angulation, Coat of good texture and parallel on the move.
2nd. Collin's & Powley's Danehaven Kovik. Nice enough dog but up to size and different in type. Correct shape to head, good lay of shoulder, enough depth of brisket, Good rear angle's, firm thigh's and moved well.
3rd. Tester's Gingafing Careless Whisper.
O. 3.
1st. Tester's Let's Go Crazy. In good coat, Balanced with a well proportioned head. Well laid back shoulders and straight in front with enough depth of chest. Level top line held well on the move with correst tail carriage. Moved out well.
2nd. Chapman's Decoyman's The Dreamworker. Typy bitch with pleasing head and expression, Strong neck and good proportionate body, good angles to the rear, sound on the move covering plenty of ground.
3rd. Collin's & Powley's Danehaven Detroyes.
COCKER SPANIEL.
P. 3.
1st. Clifford's Wyncastle's Danish Affer Of Chamford. ( IMP HUN ). Up to size but balanced. Pleasing head and expression, Well bodied and good front with plenty of bone and substance. Correct top line with a well angulated rear. Moves very well BP.
2nd. Clarke's Harbethol Look Magic Melody. Typy bitch with a lovely head, would prefer a little more length of neck. Good top line and tail set with a well angulated rear and one who moves well.
3rd. Harris's Melgrove Majic Maker.
PG. 3.
1st. Clifford's Serci After Dark At Shadow Amor Of Chamford. ( IMP SRB ). Good headed dog with nice dark eye and correct dentition. Well off for bone, good angles to the front and plenty substance. A good mover both fore and aft.
2nd. Hutson's Stobyhill Hippy Hippy Shake JW. A balanced young bitch with a pleasing head. A bitch what stands 4 square good in front with ample depth of brisket. Good rear angles, in good coat, a nice moving bitch.
3rd. Beckworth's Troverothway Jack The Lad At Ballambeck.
L. 2.
1st. Pilkington & Ellis's Molkara Fautus At Brimbeck. Lovely standing and turned out very well. Well proportioned head with good ratio and correct dentition. Nice front with round feet. Ample depth throughout the body, Well angulated muscle quarters and parallel on the move.
2nd. Beckworth's Troverothway Jack The Lad At Ballambeck. placed 3rd in my previous class. sweet head and a pleasing expression. On edge a little today, In good coat, Once settled he moves out well.
O. 3.
1st. Hutson's Stobyhill Shake Your Booty. Balanced head with gentle expression. Good length of neck and a good lay of shoulder. well bodied, nice rear angles and a sound mover.
2nd. Harris's Stromboli Dark Desiree For Melgrove. Head of good proportion, Kind eye with good top line and depth of chest. On the day i felt she was carrying a little too much weight, In good coat and straight on the move.
3rd. Whitham's Arrifana Cassini.

J. 1.
1st. Keely's Alhambian Bon Scott. Decent head with good bite. Would prefer a little more fore chest. Nice top line with a well angulated rear, Moves okay.
O. 5 & 2.
1st. Morgan's Kennair Dreaming On A Star. A nice class. I chose this Masculine Male with pleasing head and good bite. Straight in front, Plenty of bone and well bodied throughout. Firm well angulated rear with firm second thigh. Moved well.
2nd. Keely's Shipden Alhambian Diana Dors. Lovely bitch with a nice head, Good length if neck and neat in front. Correct top line, Good rear quarters. Just preferred the drive of one on the move.
3rd. Osbourne's Petranella Exclusive With Braego.

1st. Lloyd's Julita Ryatara. A typy young girl with a lovely head and sweet expression. Tidy front with well laid shoulders, Liked her depth of brisket and nice bone for one so young. Maturing well and very sound on the move with a lovely rear. BP & BOB.

P. 2.
1st. Jennings & Hume's Legend N Ecclesiates Internation Warrior ( IMP USA ) American Cocker. A super young Male who caught my eye when entering the ring and did not disappoint on inspection. Beautiful chiselled head, Good stop and appealing expression. Correct length of leathers and correctly set with correct dentition. Good length to of neck, slightly arched into sloping shoulders. Well off for bone and substance and rounded feet. Lovely coat of good texture. Very sound youngster and very confident on the move. Very pleased to award him Best AVNSC. GP1 & PG1. Thrilled to see him take BPIS. Will watch with interest.
2nd. Dawson's Adeva Magic Machinator At Luphenex. American Cocker. Off good type, Lovely head, Neat front, Good top line with a firm moderate angulated rear. Sound mover both fore and aft.
J. 1.
1st. Keable's Oakmark Fenwick. ( Chesapeake Bay Ret. Very much a baby, Showing potential. Taking everything in his stride. Keep up the training and i am confident everything will fall into place.
