Ashton In Makerfield Canine Society

Hi, please find the below show report for Ashton-in-makerfield Open Show on Saturday 2nd March 2019 

Thank you very much to the committee for inviting me to judge at your show, also thank you to my ring stewards for making the day run smoothly. 

Most if all thank you to the exhibitors for allowing me to judge their dogs. 

I thoroughly enjoyed my day. 

Pugs 

Puppy - 1 entry 

1st 

Irwin's - Kenaiteen Purple Willow at Beaconpride - 11 month Fawn bitch, beautiful light coat with good pigmentation, lovely head workings with dark lustrous eyes, Good front and width of chest, legs tucked well under, level topline, moved well going and coming, tail set could have been a bit higher. Best Puppy 

Junior - 3 entries -1 absent 

1st 

McGarry's Zobear le Grand Teddy - 15 month Fawn dog - he was indeed very grand, a non stop showman with a promising future. Beautiful broad head, large lustrous eyes, Good width of muzzle, fantastic head workings, correct button ears, soft as Velvet with lovely pigmentation. Correct width of front with legs tucked well under, correct shoulder angulation. Carried his head well on good reach of neck into a level topline. Short Coby body with good spring of rib. Nice turn of stifle with excellent bone. Nice high set tail with tight double twist. Good reach of leg, moved with drive. Best of Breed and very pleased to hear he was awarded Toy Group 4. 

2nd 

Whiteheads - Dame Shirley Bassey - 17 month black bitch. Smaller in size with appealing head, Good ear placement, nice topline, moved well.

McAleny's Clodana Mischief Managed of Macmoore ( Ikc) JW. 21 month Fawn bitch, Good head with plenty of workings, well placed button ears, lovely pigmentation, large dark eyes. Good reach of neck with level topline, correct front with legs tucked well under, well set tail with double twist, lovely turn of stifle, moved round the ring with drive. 

2nd 

Pager & Carroll's Bilohka Baby Beretta at Marble. 20 month Fawn bitch - beautiful head with very pleasing expression, large dark eyes, well set button ears with lovely head workings, correct width of muzzle. Good front with plenty of bone, nice reach of neck, level topline, tail set correctly with tight double twist, nice turn of stifle, strong rear movement - could easily have changed with 1

1st 

McAleny's Macmoore Mr Tamborene Man JW - 2 1/2 year old male - good breadth of head with lovely workings, well set button ears, soft dark eyes & beautiful pigmentation, correct width of muzzle. Good front with legs tucked well under, excellent bone. Good reach of neck & level topline, tail well set with tight double twist, Good turn of stifle with strong back legs, moved with drive. 

2nd 

Holmes - Clodana Maverick at Dencas ( Ikc) CJW18 CW18 Jun Ch - super head, button ear, dark eyes and good pigmentation. Nice topline with high set double twist tail, Good turn of stifle, moved with drive. Just prefered front of 1. 

Chihuahua longcoat 

Puppy - 2 entries - 0 absent 

1st 

Entwistle's Dorentys Willie Eckaslike - 7 month cream/ sable male, lovely young man with a bright future, very showy, Good apple dome head, defined stop, correct bite. Nice level topline, carried his tail well, moved well around the ring. 

2nd 

Wills - Dorentys Chewy Veeton - 7 month cream male from the same litter as 1 although not as showy but could be one to watch. Nice apple dome head, Good stop. Good reach of neck into level topline with tail carried over, moved well. 

Junior - 3 entries - 1 absent 

1st 

Entwistle's Dorentys Fancy That - 7 month cream sable bitch, another from the same litter as last class. Very showy, beautiful head, short stop, lovely feathering to ears which she used to her advantage, Good reach of neck with level topline, nice straight front and rear, tail carried well. Best Puppy 

2nd 

Wills Dorenty Jimmichew - 7 month cream male, yet another from the same litter as 1. Nice head, bit too long in the muzzle, level topline, moved well. 

Limit - 5 entries - 2 absent 

1st 

Wills Dorenty Dazzlin Duncan - cream boy with super head, short stop, correct muzzle, lovely dark eye, ears well set, nice level topline. Stood four square, moved well going and coming, tail could be a little better set. 

2nd 

Olive's Oozora Master of Dreams. Lovely red boy with typical male head, short stop, correct muzzle, dark eye, lovely ears with nice fringes, level topline, a little close on rear movement.

1st 

Wills Dorentys Ello Vera - beautiful cream bitch, super apple dome head, short stop, correct muzzle. Well placed ears with lovely feathering, nice reach of neck into a spirit level topline. Nice clean movement going and coming, lovely feathering to tail carried well, never stopped showing. Best of Breed. 

2nd 

Olive's Oozora Bonanza Boy JW ShCM - Red dog, Super head & stop, had a bit of a bad eye today otherwise he could have won the class. Correct bite, Good front, moved well going and coming, level topline, beautiful feathering to ears and tail. 

Chihuahua Smoothcoat 

Puppy - 3 entries - 0 absent 

1st 

Charlton's Jenebeck Starlight - 7 month cream bitch, lovely apple dome head, short stop, correct muzzle, ears well placed and used to effect. Large dark eye, Good reach of neck with level topline, moved well and never stopped showing. Best Puppy. 

2nd 

Holmes Cazants Cloudbusting, 6 month red bitch, needs to settle a bit, Good head, Black muzzle, good topline, moved well. 

Junior - 5 entries - 1 absent 

1st 

Wright's Jahneemahs Smooth Criminal at Anique, 14 month Blue Fawn male. Super head, short stop, large dark eye, well set ears. Super front, lovely reach of neck into level topline. Moved well going and coming, held his tail correctly. 

2nd 

Holmes Cazants Bambalam, 6 month black tri bitch, quite the show girl. Moved well round the ring, full of confidence. Lovely head and ears, defined stop, correct muzzle, nice level topline, straight front & rear. One to watch.

1st 

Taylor's Arkoschi Miss Prim & Proper, she was indeed Prim and Proper today, a beautiful black tri bitch. Very attractive and very much a show girl, completely at one with her owner, what's not to like about this girl. Beautiful apple dome head, perfect stop, correct muzzle with lovely scissor bite, ears placed perfectly, lovely front. Good reach of neck leading into spirit level topline. Tail held correctly - the tip just touching her back. Movement was true and parallel front and rear. Shown in fine condition, her tan pips glistening. It was a pleasure to award her Best of Breed. Should have a very promising career. 

2nd 

Fleming's Happy Melody S Lipetskih Ozer, cream bitch. Not very happy today unfortunately but could see good points, good head and front, moved OK.

1st 

Rushton's Keenaughts Only Tom, cream male, lovely head, deep stop, correct muzzle. Nice dark eye, good front, level topline. Moved well going and coming, correct tail. 

2nd 

Hartley & Fahey's Boetandales Little River through Zoomeera, lovely red male, good head, short stop, ears well placed. Good reach of neck with level topline, straight front and rear, moved well, just prefered movement of 1 and not as showy. 

Chinese Crested 

Puppy - 4 entries - 2 absent 

1st 

Laws & Crummey - Stagedoor Sugar Puff, 7 month bitch powderpuff, very attractive and well presented. Good head & eye, correct bite, nice level topline standing and moving, shoulders well laid back. Good front and rear movement. Very cheeky showgirl, loved her one white sock. Best Puppy. 

2nd 

Dixon's Debrita Diligent, 11 month male hairless, Good head and fringes, sound front & rear, moved out well once he settled down. 

Junior - 3 entries - 2 absent 

1st 

Routledge's Tasnim De Sothis Para Pufflepaws ( imp Esp ) 14 month bitch hairless, stood alone, good head and fringes, correct bite. Good front and rear, moved out well, correct tail carriage. 

Limit - 4 entries - 2 absent

Oliver's Ynchreenoo Boayl Fahrane at Saralindan - very attractive male hairless, exquisite head, good eye, correct bite, Good use of ear fringes. Good reach of neck into lovely level topline, shoulders well laid back. Good front and rear with good turn of stifle, moved out well. Best of Breed.

5 1/2 yr old male hairless - can still show the youngsters a thing or two, very pleasing head with lovely use of fringes, good reach of neck with level topline. Sound front & rear, moved out well, correct tail set.

2nd

Routledge's Pufflepaws Demonia Lilith, bitch powderpuff, well coated, good head and fringes, straight front and rear, moved with drive.
