Terrier Group

1st Ch Heythrop Task Master for Alncroft. PRT. Only a young dog but already has great ring presence and shows such balance. Ideal head proportions, dark almond eye and small neat ears dropped perfectly. Alert and so focussed. Ideal shape with overall length slightly more than height at withers. Spanned easily. Very impressive on the move with long stride and good drive. Equally sound away and back with tail held upright at all times. 2nd Downie’s Eleighwater Axel. Sealyham. What a cracker. Only just out of puppy but already showing a great attitude and rapport with his handler. Super head and dark eye, square in muzzle with strong jaw and great teeth. Sturdy in build and decidedly oblong. Ribs already well sprung. He has a wonderful front; bang straight with well laid shoulders and elbows fitting well under his body. Did not put a foot wrong and is so sound. 3rd Ch Talanors Typically Special. Manchester Terrier. A super size and a picture of health with her black shiny coat and rich tans. Compact yet elegant. Long narrow wedge with small dark eye and strength to her jaw. Ears dropped perfectly if a little wider apart than ideal. Well laid shoulders to level back and slight rise over loin. Sound away and back with good length of stride in profile.  4th Price’s Oxcroft Jethro. Border Terrier. Built on slightly larger lines but very good overall balance and could do job intended without question – just able to span. Super otter head with dark eye and keen expression. Small ears perfectly dropped. Harsh coat and ideal thick skin. Tapering tail of medium length. Moved with good footfall in side gait but a little close behind going away today.

Terrier Puppy Group

1st Miller & Ryan’s Flanagan Energizer at Feorlig (Imp SVK). Skye Terrier. A very young dog pup maturing at just the right rate. Long medium wedge shape head with real strength to muzzle and jaw. Super expressive eyes. Ears set just right and off ideal size with fringing coming already. Long neck with slight crest. Just right ‘double’ length of body with top line already showing god strength. Moved with real freedom with propulsion from very well developed hind quarters. Straight strong top coat of good length. Later RBPIS. 2nd Straughen & Cripps’ Talanors Time To Shine at Mannikai. Manchester Terrier. What a promising puppy. She makes such a typical overall shape. Beautiful head. Long and narrow with strength to jaw. Small dark eye and ears of correct size and set right up on top; just need to finish dropping but nearly there and certainly do not spoil her wonderful expression. Moved really well away and back and has a long stride an accurate foot fall in profile. Rich tans and well defined markings with neat thumbprints.

Jack Russell Terriers

J (2,0)  A close all – quite different in type.st Kay’s Jackopeaks Bakewell Puddin. Well balanced overall with muzzle just fraction shorter than length of skull. Body just longer than tall. In excellent condition and spanned easily. Moved soundly away and back. RBOB. 2nd Smith’s Locheil Stop Right There. Liked the head and expression although muzzle a fraction long; ears set high. Moved well going away. An inch less in overall length would be ideal.

PG (1,0) Smith’s Locheil Talk Of The Town. Very good in head proportions and strong muzzle and jaw. Dark almond eye and well set ears. Keen expression. Just longer than height at withers. Tail held erect at all times. Rough, self-clean coat with good skin and spanned easily. Sound away and back and good stride in profile. BOB

O (1,0) 1st Kay’s Jackopeaks Princess Peach. A credit to her owner. 10 years young and the epitome of a loyal terrier besotted with her owner. Of ideal size and spans easily. Wedge shaped head but ears fly which detracts. Hold top line well in profile. Sound away but untidy coming towards.

Parson Russell Terriers

J (1,0) 1st Neild’s Logierait Luna. Loved her head, expression and overall type. Very feminine yet keen and alert and really on her toes. Loads of attitude much to her owner’s frustration. Coordinated and parallel movement once put her mind to it. Ideal size and shape; easy to span.

O (4,0) First two were particularly impressive examples of the breed. 1st Ch Heythrop Task Master for Alncroft. BOB & G1. 2nd Ir Ch Kylini Mona Lisa ShCM. Catches your eye with her total focus and commitment free stood. Fully mature at 5 years and clearly knows her job. Typical expression with neat, well set, perfectly dropped ears. Good length to neck. Super skin and coat; spanned easily. Fabulous type overall and pushed the ‘whipper snapper’ all the way but just a little longer in loin than him which was clincher. RBOB.

Av NSC Terrier

P (2,0) 1st Miller & Ryan’s Flanagan Energizer at Feorlig (Imp SVK). Skye Terrier. BP, PG1 and RBPIS. 2nd Wilson’s Duvessa Sheer Khan. Mini Bull Terrier. Smart and focussed. Of a perfect size and is so typical in overall outline. Loved her head and expression with keen eye and small perfectly set ears. Compact in body and in hard condition. Looked a picture stood but too interested in the grass today which caused a few issues on the move.

J (1,0) 1st Downie’s Eleighwater Axel. Sealyham. Best Av NSC Terrier & a close decision but G2 today.

O (2,1) 1st Neville’s Honeymist Posh Peanuts at Chancete. Bedlington Terrier. Makes such a typical overall shape both stood and on the move. Long narrow head with ears set low and flat to skull . Small triangles for eyes but would like a little darker. Coat thick and soft. Carries head high and body just longer than tall with distinctive arch over loin and good tuck up from his depth of brisket. Moved with lightness of foot and spring to stride.
