I would like to thank the committee for offering me this appointment and their hospitality on the day. Thank you to all the exhibitors for allowing me to go over their dogs.

Smoothcoat Chihuahua

Puppy 2

1st Rooney’s Copymear Costa Blanca. Confident cream girl of just 6 months. Fabulous head. Large flaring ears, round eyes and dark pigment. Good dentition, deep stop and moderate length muzzle. Level topline and thick, sickle tail. Beautiful outline and moved with drive.BOB & BPIB. Lovely to hear she went Best Puppy in Show! 2nd Edwards Tinasjoy Pretty Damn Good. Sable boy who was not as confident as 1st. Flaring ears and large dark eyes. Topline needs to settle. Kept dropping his tail.

Junior 3

I was disappointed with the movement of most exhibits in this class. 1st Green’s Ellochi Yippee Try Yey. Domed head, large ears with good breadth between. Definite stop and moderate length muzzle. Level topline. Would have liked a higher tailset. Good front movement but not as true at the back. 2nd Lewis Tyssul Zorro’s Dream. A lovely boy but he wasn’t showing very well. Large flaring ears, big eyes and dark pigment. Level topline and good tail carriage. He is a lovely shape when he carries his tail up and over. A little wide at the front.

Post Graduate 2

1st Graham’s Chihgra Ice Crystal. Apple domed head, flaring ears and big eyes. Good reach of neck and level topline. A little wide at the front. 2nd Edwards Copymear Lilac Wine. A fawn bitch with domed skull, large ears and lean cheeks. Big eyes and good mouth. Level topline. Tail not sickle and spoilt the outline.

1st Dover’s Donami Tigers Eye Into Justenuf. A red boy with large ears set on a domed head. Dark eyes and pigment. Deep chest, good spring of rib and level topline. Moved with drive. 2nd Edwards Copymear Kharlid. Lovely typical Chihuahua expression. Slighty arched neck, deep chest and level topline. Moved with reach. I really liked this boy but his tail is slightly off which cost him the class.

Puppy 5 (1)

1st Edwards Chiquita De Oro Just Look At Me (IMP HUN) A happy red girl with large flaring ears which she used at all times. Dark eyes, definite stop and moderate length muzzle. Good reach of neck, level topline and nice tail carriage. Never stopped wagging her tail. BPIB. 2nd Lewis Tyssul Amazing Grace. Another lovely girl. Gay and spirited. Just my type! Pretty face with deep stop, lovely eyes and good dentition. Level topline but tail resting on her back. Moved around the ring with speed. Preferred the tail of 1st.

Junior 8 (2)

1st Rooney’s Parisland The Gigolo With Yorone. Alert cream boy with a saucy expression. Well rounded skull with large flaring ears which he used at all times. Lean cheeks, moderately short muzzle and definite stop. Straight forelegs set well under chest. Level topline and sickle tail. Good turn of stifle and moved with drive. BOB. 2nd Edwards Ahau Casa Grande Unigum (IMP UKR) Pretty white boy with round eyes. Would of preferred darker pigment. Correct mouth and definite stop. Arched neck and level topline. Tail off to the side which spoilt outline. Moved with drive.

Post Graduate 6 (1)

1st Dover’s Justenuf Yin Yang. A lovely girl that I judged when she was a puppy. Liked her then and like her now! Domed skull, lean cheeks and large flaring ears. Round eyes dark pigment, definite stop and a moderate length muzzle. Slightly arched neck and deep chest. Level topline and well set tail which she carried up and over. Just enough coat - like a longcoat should be, a smoothcoat with fringing. 2nd Green’s Ellochi This Is Me. A well put together bitch. Large ears and eyes. Slightly longer in muzzle. Fantastic 6/6 scissor bite. Moved well but carried tail down.

1st Green’s Ellochi Chasing Stars JW. I love this boy! Fabulous temperament. Typical Chihuahua expression. Large flaring ears, dark eyes and pigment. Definite stop and good mouth. Arched neck, deep chest and good spring of rib. Just enough coat with lovely feathering. Moved like he owned the ring. Competed hard for BOB. 2nd Graham’s Chihgra Captain Morgan. 7 year old boy who showed well, Beautiful head, big eyes and definite stop. Would of liked bigger ears. Moved well around the ring.

1st Lewis Titmouse’s Summerbreeze At Tyssul (IMP) A lovely red and white bitch that never stopped showing. Lovely ears set on a domed head. Lean cheeks, definite stop and good mouth. Slightly arched neck, deep brisket and level topline. Tail set a little low. Moved with drive. 2nd Graham’s Chihgra Toya. A lovely girl who is looking good for a veteran. Domed head, definite stop and moderate length muzzle. Level topline and sickle tail. Preferred the movement of 1st.
