I would like to thank the committee for offering me this appointment and their hospitality on the day. Thank you to all the exhibitors for their entries. I would like to express my gratitude to the Chihuahua Club of Scotland for sponsoring the classes.

Smoothcoat Chihuahua

Puppy 5(2)

1st Fothergill’s Diamonchi Little Miss Star. Cream 9 month old bitch. Lovely apple domed head with well set flaring ears. Nice dark pigment and definite stop. Good dentition. Slightly arched neck. Level topline and high set sickle tail. Moved well maintaining the topline. BPIB. 2nd Waddington’s Spindlepoint Major. Another lovely puppy but lacks confidence. Dark round eyes and lovely ears when he used them. Mouth good. Nice reach of neck, level topline and good tail set when he carried it up and over.

Special Yearling 6

1st Price’s Tore Del Pilar Crackerjack of Kircyan (IMP) 17 month fawn boy. Large flaring ears set on a well domed head. Dark eyes and definite stop. Mouth could be better. Deep chest and level topline with thick broad tail carried up and over. Lovely compact body. 2nd Silverstein’s Silverchi Sassanach. 10 month bitch with a lovely apple domed head. Well set ears, moderate muzzle with a definite stop. Correct mouth. Straight forelegs, set well under chest. Bit longer in body. Showed herself off well.

1st Waddington’s Spindlepoint Mae West. Lovely fawn & white girl with flaring ears that she used well. Large round eyes and good dentition. Nice arched neck and level topline. Kept dropping her tail but so did most in this class. 2nd Silverstein’s Queenie Secret Of Angles At Silverchi (IMP SVK) A lovely compact bitch. Well rounded skull, lean cheeks with moderate muzzle. Well sprung ribs. Moved forcefully around the ring. Unfortunately she wasn’t showing well today which cost her the class.

1st Holland-Smith’s Diamonchi Shine Like A Star. Small dainty cream bitch. Apple domed head with a moderate muzzle. Big round eyes and a deep stop. Level topline and lovely tail carriage. Good turn of stifle. Brisk forceful movement. Worked well with her handler. 2nd Nixon’s Silverchi Catch The Rainbow. Another lovely exhibit. Domed head with well set ears. Dark pigment and good mouth. Nice length of neck, deep brisket and sickle tail.

Open 3

1st Fothergill’s Diamonchi Mister Moon. A boy I have admired from the ring side and he did not disappoint. Fabulous outline at all times. Well rounded skull, cheeks lean, moderate muzzle and definite stop. Large eyes set well apart. Beautiful mouth. Slightly arched neck, deep chest and level topline. Well sprung ribs. Good turn of stifle. Flat, broad tail carried up and over. Moved with drive like he owned the ring. BOB. Was lovely to watch him go 3rd Best in Show. 2nd Silverstein’s Endless Love Vivian Secret Of Angels At Silverchi (IMP SVK) Another lovely exhibit but preferred the pigment of 1st. Lovely expression. Good breadth between ears. Deep stop and nice muzzle. Level topline and well set tail. Moved with drive.

All the puppies in this class were nervous.

1st Todd-McCoid’s QQ’s Amazing Honey At Rubyanlo. 7 month fine & dainty bitch. Domed head with well set flaring ears. Dark pigment and definite stop. Mouth ok. Good topline and tail carriage. Worked well to please her handler. BPIB. 2nd Gray’s Rubyanlo Bertie Buttons. Cream sable boy who was quite nervous and kept his tail down most of the time. Lovely expression, large eyes, dark pigment, nice length muzzle and good dentition. Levewl topline. Slightly too long in body. Moved well around the ring.

Special Yearling 9 (1)

1st Lynch’s Garnox Picture This JW. Cream bitch with a lovely melting expression. Apple domed head with well set large ears. Dark pigment and definite stop. Good spring of rib, deep chest, level topline and sickle tail. Dainty feet. Moved with drive. A well spirited dog. 2nd Gilling’s Chantico’s Mercedes Of Talocan. Fawn sable bitch. Nice head with a definite stop. Large eyes and good dentition. Moved swiftly.

Novice 5

1st Hunter’s Jotolemar Our Time. 14 month small sable bitch. Large ears set well on domed head. Dark eyes and pigment. Slightly longer in muzzle but definite stop. Level topline and sickle tail. A little showy girl who never stopped wagging her tail. 2nd Price’s Bramver’s Fortune Garden of Kircyan (IMP) A fawn girl who was slightly longer than the winner. Large eyes, dark pigment and definite stop. Deep chest and level topline. Moved well around the ring. Preferred the overall shape of 1st.

Post Graduate 8 (2)

1st Price’s My Precious A True Love of Kircyan (IMP SWE) Just my type of Chihuahua. A small compact girl with a beautiful expression. Well domed head with well placed ears. Lovely big eyes, dark pigment and definite stop. Good dentition and a nice length muzzle. Level topline with a lovely tail carriage. Out a bit at the shoulders when moved. 2nd Hunter’s Jotolemar Time Share. A happy, showy sable girl. Bit longer in muzzle but a beautiful mouth. Nice spring of rib. Moved with drive.

Todd-McCoid’s Tinasjoy Mcdogface of Rubyanlo. A boy who shows himself well. Typical Chihuahua expression. Big round eyes, definite stop and a moderate length muzzle. Deep chest and a good spring of rib. Nice turn of stifle and moved with force. 2nd Gilling’s Vikkilous Fabulous Flavia of Talocan. Domed head. She kept her ears pinned back most of the time. Mouth ok. Deep chest, level topline and sickle tail. Brisk movement.

1st Todd-McCoid’s Georgia With Rubyanlo. A lovely bitch which I have had the pleasure of going over before. Saucy expression with melting eyes. Nice length of muzzle and definite stop. Slightly arched neck, deep chest and level topline. Sickle tail carried up and over. BOB. Unfortunately she went to pieces in the Best in Show. 2nd Hunter’s Jotolemar Best Of Time. Another lovely exhibit. Lovely flaring ears which she used all of the time. Dark eyes and pigment. Good reach of neck and level topline. A showy girl who moved with drive around the ring. 1st and 2nd could change positions at anytime.
