GIANT SCHNAUZER

Veteran Dog or Bitch (1, 1)

Minor Puppy Dog (1, 0) 1. Parker’s Gloris Rafael Draxpark, 7 months black, this promising young dog is happy to be out and about, and has bags of time to pull all his attributes together, head of good proportions with good dentition and a dark eye, good front in all respects and muscled behind, he didn’t slavishly follow all instructions on the move as is the typical schnauzer way, but he will no doubt settle as he matures on. BPD and BPIB.

Puppy Dog (0)

Junior Dog (1, 1)

Post Graduate Dog (1, 0) 1. Woodgate’s Dasval Good And Ready, 3 years black, a dog of good bone and substance, he has a masculine head with a good eye and teeth, well developed in front with rear angulation to complement it, good harsh coat, moved soundly and gave the bitch a good run for her money in the challenge for RBOB, just preferred her coming back. RBD.

Open Dog (3, 0) 1. Brown & Tunnicliffe’s Draxpark Hot Tip, 2 years black, I judged this dog when he was a puppy and said he needed time.  Well, he has done some maturing and still has more to do.  He is now a big, imposing dog with a typical expression and a good nature, strong head with a good ear set, well laid shoulders and good return of upper arm, deep chest, hard coat, he moved well in all directions.  Pleased to award him BD, BOB and later RBIS. Well done.  2. Cox & Bowman’s Pushkadell Tuscan To Grovelea, 2 years black, with a masculine head, dark eye and good dentition, deep enough in chest, sloping topline which he held on the move and muscled behind, very nicely presented, he moved soundly enough all ways but unfortunately had his own ideas about things in the challenge for RBD. 3. Brown & Tunnicliffe’s Honoring Major vd Telgthoeve (Imp NLD).

Minor Puppy Bitch (1, 0) 1. Bullock’s Ouseview’s Maggie May, 7 months black, good, positive attitude, feminine head with a dark eye, well constructed in front, coat very well presented, moved with real purpose, in my view this is a puppy that needs time (but has plenty of it).  BPB.

Puppy Bitch (0)

Junior Bitch (1, 0) 1. Parker’s Draxpark Check Me Out, 17 months black, lovely head with a dark eye and good mouth, good shoulders and forechest, sloping topline and strong through the loin, moderately angulated, coat presented in great condition, moved out well in profile, lost out to the more mature bitch in the challenge but pleased to award her RBB.

Post Graduate Bitch (0)

Open Bitch (2, 0) 1. Cox & Bowman’s Ch Bel / Ned / Int Ch Grovelea Bossanova, 6 years black, typical expression with dark eye and good dentition, good coat, this bitch is in great condition, her construction and soundness shine through in her movement, which is free and accurate in every direction, and, although a different proposition to the dog winner, those attributes won her BB and RBOB. 2. Malcolm’s Bel Ch Quimada van de Riesenhorst (Imp NLD), 4 years black, a more substantial bitch to the winner, she has a head of equal proportions with a dark eye and good mouth, nice earset, good depth of chest, sloping topline, harsh coat very well presented, moved out around the ring with some vigour.

SCHNAUZER

Veteran Dog or Bitch (1, 0) 1. Fletcher’s Fivepits The Mole, 7 years p/s dog, presents a balanced outline, good head with dark eye and good teeth, moderate angulation front and rear, good depth of chest, nice coat, and moved soundly, pleased to award him BVIB and BVIS.

Minor Puppy Dog (3, 0) 1. Lewington’s (handling for Havelkoa) Fit To Fight Grand Calvera, 7 months black, I loved this happy puppy whose tail never stopped wagging, lovely head with a dark eye, good length of neck, balanced overall with good angulation front and rear, coat will need some perseverance, moved so freely and soundly in every direction, lost out to the more mature bitch in the challenge but a worthy BPD.  2. Lockyer’s Invidia Dios Riquardo At Miccosukees (Imp RUS), 6 months p/s, square, his construction is typical schnauzer and won over 3, head nicely developing, very good front, shorter than 1 in body, short loin, great coat, he appeared to be a bit overawed today which affected his movement, but a promising prospect.  3. Ray’s Ksantia Easy To Please At Minnienoom.

Puppy Dog (1, 0) 1. Maiden’s Desolation Row Lady’s Pride At Maidluns (Imp HRV), 9 months p/s, a young male with maturing to do but lots of time to do it, strong head with dark eye and good dentition, moderately angulated all round, good coat and well presented, moved out well in profile.

Junior Dog (0)

Post Graduate Dog (1, 0) 1. Lockyer’s Nichi Stradivarius At Miccosukees (Imp ITA), 20 months p/s, I loved this dog, masculine but not coarse, square, balanced outline with a sloping topline, strong head with dark eye and good mouth, well laid shoulders, good width across the chest and back, good rear angulation, well presented, a very free, sound and accurate mover in all directions, delighted to award him BD, BOB and later BIS.  I will watch his progress with interest.

Open Dog (2, 1) 1. Peffers’ Miccosukees Playboy, 3½ years p/s, very nice overall make and shape, well developed head with a dark eye, good substance, balanced front and rear angulation, well presented, moved well with drive from behind when viewed in profile but his slight tendency to crab when going out and back cost him in the challenge.  RBD.

Minor Puppy Bitch (2, 0) 1. Fish & Moss’ Serenade Alarm Beskyd To Dulejoes (Imp CZE), 7 months p/s, balanced young bitch who has everything in moderation, feminine head with a dark eye and good mouth, short in body, good front, well presented harsh coat, paced initially but moved freely and well when she got into her stride, further on at this stage than the BPD winner.  BPB and BPIB.  2. Ray’s Ksantia Everyone A Winner At Minnienoom, 7 months p/s, appeared to lack confidence in this breed class although she had come out of her shell by the stakes, nice expression with a dark eye and good teeth, moderately angulated, harsh coat prepared well, moved less well than the more muscled class winner.

Puppy Bitch (2, 0) 1. Ray’s Minnienoom Dream Of Mine, 11 months p/s, well developed head with dark eye and good mouth, presents a square outline with a good topline, moderately angulated, deep chest, good coat nicely presented, moved well enough but she is softer in condition than the MPB winner which was noticeable in the challenge.  2. Morgan’s Hexenmeister Magia Negra, 11 months black, longer and narrower than 1, pretty, feminine head with an appealing expression and dark eye, good length of neck, well laid shoulders and moderately angulated behind, harsh coat but not much undercoat today, moved out steadily.

Junior Bitch (2, 0) 1. Bullock’s Ouseview’s Gracious Galaxy, 16 months p/s, square outline, feminine head, dark eye, good length of neck, good front and rear angulation, short loin, harsh coat, achieved good reach and drive when seen in profile, this was a close class but she won through on her overall maturity.  RBB.  2. Maiden’s Maidluns Amazing Grace, 14 months p/s, lovely head and expression, good length of neck, well laid shoulders and balanced with rear angulation, good texture of coat and well presented, moved freely with drive when seen in profile, and was tidy coming back.

Post Graduate Bitch (2, 0) 1. Lockyer’s Miccosukees Sweet Melody, 10 months p/s, lovely make and shape, pretty head with dark eye and good expression, well developed front with a deep chest, short through the loin, good angulation behind, good harsh coat, not quite the attitude of 2 on the move but scored for accuracy of movement in all departments.  2. Bullock’s Ouseview’s Causing Chaos, 2½ years p/s, confident and fit as you like, feminine head and good length of neck, well laid shoulders and balanced, drove well from behind on the move and soundly out and back.

Open Bitch (2, 0) 1. Watson’s Miccosukees Guess Who At Jalero, 2 years p/s, beautiful bitch, pretty head with a dark eye, good ear set, good length of neck set into well placed shoulders, front well developed, good width across her chest and back, well angulated behind, good harsh coat, moved very soundly all ways.  Pleased to award her BB and RBOB.  2. Fletcher’s Fivepits Mydas Touch, 7 years p/s, good head of equal proportions and blunt muzzle, very moderately angulated, good depth of chest, didn’t have quite the attitude or energy of 1, but moved well enough.

Parker & McDonald’s Silversocks Shot In The Dark With Violis, 10 months black, lovely square puppy with a strong topline, strong head with a dark eye, balanced angulation front and rear, deep chest, good general substance and width, harsh coat, good mover in all directions.  BPD.

Junior Dog (1, 1)

Post Graduate Dog (4, 0) 1. Day’s Joker Land’s Aristocrat (Imp JPN), 14 months p/s, scored for overall outline, which has balance all through, and his short body, nice head and expression, good size, well made front, strong loin, good rear angulation, I liked his width of chest and back, well presented hard coat, moved very well out, back and in profile.  BD.  2. McDermott’s Lichstone Midnight Epsilon, 19 months b/s, strong head and dark eye, good length of neck and short back, good bone and substance, deep chest, strong loin, good coat colour and presentation, moved well all ways.  3. Jones’ Egyptian God Dastynella Elegant At Quintastique (Imp SVK).

Open Dog (3, 1) 1. McDermott’s Lichstone The Swagman, 2 years p/s, I liked his scopey outline, with short, square body, masculine head and dark eye, good reach of neck and strong topline, deep chest with good width, well presented hard coat, moved out well with a sense of purpose. RBD.   2. Barton’s Secret’s Out, 4 years p/s, a rather different proposition to 1, good for size, nice expression, well laid shoulders, moved steadily.

Minor Puppy Bitch (6, 3) 1. Clay’s Silvamin Secret Love, 8 months p/s, beautiful bitch who needed no intervention from her handler to show off her qualities, balanced, typical schnauzer outline, pretty head and expression, good dentition, neck flowing into topline, good front with some forechest, and rear angulation to complement it with good turn of stifle, well presented coat, moved so soundly and freely out, back and in profile.  RBB, BPB, BPIB and later BPIS, well done.  2. McDermott’s Midnight Madrigal, 8 months b/s, feminine head with a dark eye, good length of neck and short in back, good depth in brisket, nice rear angulation, well textured coat presented well, moved out well around the ring.  3. Hall’s Smartpaws Ruby Rules.

Puppy Bitch (0)

Junior Bitch (2, 0) 1. Lewis’ Avashar One To Keep, 17 months p/s, presents a balanced, square outline, pretty head with dark eye and good mouth, well laid shoulders, good depth of chest, short loin, good coat presented well, but I would be inclined to take the underline up a smidgeon if she were mine, moved soundly all ways.  2. Bisiker’s Takoaf Fenders Sensation Among Calevie, 15 months p/s, head of good proportions with a dark eye, longer in body than 1, well presented.

Post Graduate Bitch (7, 2) 1. Parker & McDonald’s Jokerland’s Honey Pot For Violis, 15 months p/s, a very pretty bitch who scored for size, balance and substance, feminine head with a dark eye giving a typical expression, good dentition, neck flowing into well laid shoulders, almost square in body with good width across the chest and back, good turn of stifle, moved very well indeed in every direction.  Similar in type to the dog, but I felt she was the more complete package in the challenge.  A well deserved BB and BOB.  2. Passey’s Schnoopassey Fantacy, 22 months p/s, pretty head and expression, good neck and shoulders, moderate angulation front and rear, reasonable depth of chest and short in loin, happy to be here and moved well out, back and in profile.  3.
