Border Collie Bitches

I would like to thank the East Anglian Border Collie Club’s Committee for asking me to judge at their very well organised and friendly show and to thank them for the lovely gift. Also thanks to all the exhibitors for entering their lovely dogs. I was delighted with the quality of my entry.

Veteran Bitch 5 (0a)

1st Shahmatova’s Nashdom Forever Chic – Lovely 8 years old B/W with good body shape and construction. Lovely head with good ears and eye shape. Well boned and balanced. Good croup and tail set. Moved correctly front and rear with minimum lift of feet and with a well held top line. BVB and BVIS

2nd Macdonald’s ShCh Jupavia Seventh Blessing – Very pretty 8 years old B/W with beautiful head, ears, eye shape and expression. Lovely length and arch of neck going in to a well angulated front. Coat correct texture and lovely condition. Outstanding reaching movement in profile. RBVIS

3rd Greening’s Arniston Spring Sunshine At Kanamaren

Minor Puppy Bitch 4 (2a)

1st Butterworth’s Tambuzi Over The Top –Very pretty 8 months old B/W with a lovely shape and balance. Lovely head with good sensitive ears and good eye shape giving a beautiful expression. Good croup and tail. Well angulated giving correct movement from all directions.

2nd Shahmatova’s Nashdom Strawberry Fields – Pretty 6 months old B/W baby of nice shape and angulation. Good head, eyes and ears. Lovely arched neck of good length and a good croup. Well constructed with good bone. Moved well for one so young.

Puppy Bitch 2 (0a)

1st Green and Ratcliffe’s Fayken I Am Here – Lovely 11 months old B/W of a beautiful shape, type and construction. Good head and eye. Very good length of neck going into a well angulated front. Well angulated rear with good croup and tail length. Good bone and well balanced. Movement correct front and rear with well held top line. Although slightly unsettled in the class her movement got better and better and in profile was absolutely outstanding. Best bitch and glad to see her take best in show. BB & BIS & BPIS

2nd Shahmatova’s Nashdom Three Times A Lady – Very pretty 6 months old B/W slightly more mature looking than her litter sister in minor puppy. Lovely head, ears, eye and expression. Again lovely shape with good angulation, construction and bone. Good balanced movement when settled.

Junior Bitch 3 (0a)

1st Smith & Green’s Fayken Final Destination – Pretty 13 months old B/W. Head well shaped with with oval eyes, good ears and a lovely dark face giving a lovely expression. Good length of neck and body shape with a good croup. Good construction and bone. Well angulated allowing for really good movement holding a strong topline.

2nd Mitchell’s Bordabears Crazy Surprise - 12 months old Blue/white of nice shape, but very much at the out of coat junior stage. Good head and with oval eyes. Balanced and adequate angulation with a lovely length of neck and good croup. Good bone and condition. Moved well with a very strong top line.

3rd Marshall’s Kirkwind Firecracker

Yearling Bitch 1 (0a)

1st Spurr’s Dreamwork Collat’ral Beauty – Very pretty 17 months old red merle of lovely shape and type, although she still needs to mature. Lovely head and expression from good ears and oval eyes. Good angulation and adequate bone. Lovely arched neck and good croup. Movement correct from front and rear and lovely in profile.

Graduate Bitch 2 (1a)

1st Mitchell’s Fridfion Amorphis – prettily marked 2 years old Blue Tri with a lovely head and eye. Good rear angulation and lovely croup and tail. Good bone. Top line held well on the move which was good front and rear. Again needs time to mature.

Post Graduate Bitch 4 (0a)

1st Green and Ratcliffe’s Arrodare Beautiful Trauma –Very Pretty dark faced 19 months old B/W with a lovely head, oval eyes and sensitive ears giving a lovely expression. Lovely shape and type with good bone and angulation front and rear. Good length of neck and good croup and tail length. Lovely movement when settled showing her fantastic balance RBB

2nd Macdonald’s Jupavia Secret Love – Well balanced 3 year old B/W of lovely make and shape. Lovely head, oval eye and well set sensitive ears giving a lovely expression. Well constructed with good bone. Good rear angulation and croup. Moved well when settled holding a good level topline.

3rd Greening’s Kanamaren Hold On My Heart

Limit Bitch 6 (1a)

1st Oliver’s Arrodare Game On – Pretty 5 year old B/W of lovely type and shape. Lovely head, eyes and ears giving a keen expression. Well constructed with good bone. Good front & rear angulation and a lovely croup. Very good movement from all angles, but won class on her powerful movement driving from the rear

2nd Paton’s Tonkory Joie De Vivre Chez Willianways – Lovely 5 year old B/W very close to the winner. Lovely head, oval eye and very sensitive ears giving beautiful expression. Well constructed with a lovely body shape, angulation and bone. Good condition and weatherproof coat and well presented. Moved very well front and rear and in profile.

Open Bitch 3 (1a)

1st Buxton’s Shanmill Must Be Dreaming At Meisterwerk – Extremely pretty 5 year old B/W. Beautiful head, lovely oval eye, well set and used ears giving a melting expression. Good body shape and type with adequate angulation. Lovely bone and condition. Moved soundly from all directions holding top line well.

2nd Carley’s Jupavia Just For You – Lovely darkly marked 5 year old B/W with nice head and eye and lovely sensitive ears. Well constructed with lovely body shape and angulation and sufficient bone. Good croup and tail length. Side profile very good when moving.

Special Open Bitch (Any Other Colour but Black and White) 4 (0a)

1st Elliott’s Goytre Bamburgh Beach Babe – Pretty 5 year old Tri with good body shape and angulation. Nice head, lovely oval eyes and well used ears giving lovely expression . Very good bone. Moved well holding top line and won class on good movement from all angles.

2nd Spurr’s Dreamwork Interstellar - 5 year old lovely colour Red/White. Nice head, oval eye of correct colour and well used ears. Sufficient bone and angulation. Correct texture coat, but not so heavy as most, but this just showed off her lovely shape. Excelled in movement in profile with drive and minimum lift of feet.

2nd Jones’s Sianworth Highland Mist Over Keltiklan –Very pretty 5 year old Tri of lovely shape and type. Lovely head and ears and oval eyes. Coat correct texture and good bone. Well constructed with good hind angulation and croup. Lovely driving movement in profile.
