Hound Association of Scotland

13th October 2019

I would like to thank the Hound Association of Scotland for the opportunity to judge at their open show, it was a privilege to be asked to judge at a prestigious show. Secondly and by no means least I thank you the exhibitors as without you there would be no show.

Overall, I was very pleased with the quality of the entry and equally their presentation on the day, I was extremely spoilt for choice in a lot of small but top-quality classes.

PD (2:0)

1. Crosscop Shadow Dancing, Fawn Brindle boy just under 12mths of age and showing his maturity over the 2nd place in this class. Good masculine head, good under jaw, nice reach of neck into good front infill. Good topline and correct rear angulation. Held his topline on the move.

2. Northwhip Rytham Blues Red Fawn with white, good expression, good length of neck into good shoulders. Correct topline with the rise over his loin flowing into good rear angulation. A little taller than 1st place but not overdone, showing plenty of promise just lacking in maturity to take this class. Litter brother to the BPiB puppy bitch who later took RBPiS.

JD (2:1)

1. Aberlark Lone Wolf at Sunstorm Light fawn dog, good male head set with white blaze. White neck tending to shorten visually but with hands on the neck length was correct. Straight front legs with good spring of pastern, good spring of rib, correct tuck up and good tight feet. Moved well for his handler

1. Rushden Hello look at Me, Dark brindle dog very distinguishing as he entered the ring, good strong male head with white blaze, perfect ear set, very handsome expression, good topline and tuck up but extremely unsettled on the table which was a shame. However, on the move he settled and moved well for his handler.

Sweet feminine expression, dark eyes, correct ear set, super length of neck leading into a lovely front assembly, good legs and spring of pastern, tight feet, correct topline but needing to mature in body which is to be expected at this young age.
