Borzoi : Puppy (3-1abs) : 1 & B.P. Dawson’s Metel Avgusta Ala Azui At Stubbylee, at 9 months this young b shows just the potential required at this age, ultra feminine of correct balance in profile, her head is in proportion to her size, balanced skull to fore face, strong jaw with good dentition, well set ears & has an alert expression, correct length of neck leading into well set shoulder & upper arm, straight in foreleg, has the narrow oval cut ribs, good loin, body needs to develop & confident it will, good quarters with hocks well let down, has well shaped feet, tail of good length & carried correctly on move & boy can she move, love the effortless ground covering stride, presented in excellent condition & has the correct coat, promising baby ; 2 Lee-Brown’s Russkly Azart Norres King Of Magig Palamedees 7 month old male, another quality youngster, masculine & lovely balanced out line on stack, unfortunately today seemed distracted & playing up his handler on the move, looking at his construction think he will most certainly be a sound moving dog & just needs to get his act together. Typical of young hounds we have all had them. Has a very desirable head with super expression, correct in eye & ear, lovely arch of neck into correct shoulder set, super depth to chest for one so young, his ribs are narrow & oval, correct arch over a strong loin, strong quarters & correct tail length & set, correct feet, profuse coat of good texture & in excellent form.

Sp. Yearling (7-2abs) : 1 & R.B.O.B. Abrahams’s Jamaraqui Alchemist, confident young male who obviously enjoys the show ring & keeps his handler on her toes. his head is long & lean with a strong jaw & correct dentition, lovely eye shape & keen, alert expression, well set arch of neck into well set shoulder & upper arm, still young & his body developing correctly, well shaped rib & good strong loin, very desirable quarters with good second thigh, in superb condition, tail of good length & set, correct feet, double coat of correct textures, moves with long easy strides using minimum effort ; 2 Parson’s Jamaraqui Alchemy Annie, ultra feminine litter sister to 1, most lovely head with good eye & expression, well set ears, reasonably long in neck & another with a well set front & straight in foreleg, her body also developing but as it should be at this age, stands correctly in the rear with correct tail length & carriage, good feet, coming into coat & correct in textures, moved well fore & aft, perhaps her handler could stride out a little more with her to advantage ; 3 Lee-Brown’s Zar Elbur Kalinow of Palamedees.

P. Grad (3-2abs) : 1 Dawson’s Steppdance Pintel At Stubbylee, 2 yr old male, masculine & desirable head shape with well set ears, eye gives an intelligent expression, fair length of neck & has a good shoulder set & upper arm proportions, clean & straight in foreleg, good depth of chest, strong well set hocks, correct in tail & carried correctly on move, moved soundly with easy stride, not a lot of coat today.

Limit (2-1abs) : 1 Barrett-Williams’s Tysgoi Guinevere, lovely feminine size this 2 yr old b has lovely balance, correct in head, eye & ear, neck well muscled & has a good front assembly, depth to her chest & strong loin with slight arch, driving quarters which she uses well, correct coat textures, particularly liked she has no exaggerations, moved well in class but thought she flagged slightly in challenge.

Open (3-1abs) : 1 & B.O.B. Dawson’s Ch. Stubbylee Prima Donna JW Sh.CM 4 yr old b who I have judged before & have to say I have never seen her look better, she needs a large ring to see her move correctly she gains confidence & gets into her lovely flowing stride. You really do need a large show ring to see the large sight hounds move correctly & thankfully today she had that. First impressions she has a lovely profile & you can see her balance from nose to tail, desirable head & eye, correct ear set & carriage, strong neck and lovely shoulder & upper arm, straight & clean in foreleg with correct bone, depth of chest is superb & correct in loin, well muscled quarters correctly set, profuse coat presented in perfect condition, profuse & clean with silky texture. Handled to perfection & I was delighted to later watch her take B.I.S. in strong competition. 2 Datta’s Nibrass Hail Aurora 5 yr old b, smaller all through than 1 but everything still in proportion, feminine but not fine, balanced in head with well set ears, her eye is keen & nice dark rims, slight arch of neck, good front, depth of chest & strong firm loin, good shape of feet, well set hocks, moved well but a little lethargic today.
