My thanks must go to the Officers and Committee for inviting me to judge this show. This is a breed I absolutely adore, and I do enjoy being round them. They always bring a smile to my face. And thank you to all the exhibitors for entering and accepting my decisions so sportingly. Final mention must go to my wonderful steward, who kept the ring flowing.

Minor Puppy Dog (1,0)

1st Sages PATAMISCHIFE TRES-HOMBRES – 7 mth old male, nice size and balance, lovely head proportions, good eye giving that lovely expression, good ear set, strong muzzle, nice angles front and rear, can be a bit lazy on front, but nothing age can’t rectify. Well sprung ribs and wide loin, nice rear, pleasing on the move, handler needs a bit more confidence to get the best out of him. BPIS

Junior Dog (1,0)

1st Macmahon & Choi TIGER TAIL – 13 mth old male, probably top end of standard, but well balanced, pleasing head with good skull, correct ear set, good eye and expression, long muzzle with correct stop, strong neck going into well angulated shoulders, nice front, just needs to expand on ribbing at the moment, but could come with maturity, good loin, pleasing rear with good turn of stifle, did move well when the handler stopped him pacing.

1st Claytons PHARISIS LITTLE NUT TREE – 5 yr old male, nice size and overall balance, pleasing head proportions, with correct eye and ear, nice front with good depth, good tight elbows, ok for ribbing, nice turn of stifle, touch long in hock, moved nicely.

Limit Dog (1,0)

1st Busbys STANEGATE LEADING ROLE AT ZAKBY JW – 20 mth old male, good size & balance, lovely head with high skull, correct ear set, lovely shaped eye with that alert expression. Correct amount of stop, and strong muzzle. Nice length of neck going into sloping shoulders, nice width of front with well sprung ribs, deep loin, lovely rear angulation with good turn of stifle, good topline and tailset, was effortless on the move, just lost out on higher honours due to maturity, must have a bright future, Best Limit and Reserve Best Dog

Open Dog (3,1)

1st Andrews & Blades SH CH ELDARRAH CLASH OF KINGS FOR ANTDELLA - 3 yr old, lovely shape on the stack and so well balanced, lovely head with domed skull, low ear set, correct shaped eye and expression, powerful neck with enough length to it, correct angulation front and rear, good width on front with an excellent rib cage extending back with a deep loin, holding a strong topline and low set tail, lovely rear with good turn of stifle and low hocks, moved with reach and drive with typical movement, pleased to award him Best Dog and RBIS.

2nd Sclaters MALANIS QUARTER MASTER – 4 yr old male, another lovely dog to go over, was slightly longer than 1, so didn’t give me that overall balance that 1 has, lovely head with good proportions, good ear set, and lovely eye, nice front with good width, would like a touch more behind the elbow, pleasing ribcage holding a good topline, good stifle & low hocks, lovely reach & drive on the move.

Veteran Dog (1,0)

1st Andrews SH CH ANTDELA OLEANDER ShCM – 12 yr old male, and what a lovely showman still at his age! Lovely size & balance, good head proportions with correct skull, and ear carriage, lovely eye, just starting to lose a bit of infill under the eye, which gives the appearance of a longer muzzle, good neck & front, nice width, good ribbing & loin, lovely rear, can still move round that ring! Best Veteran in Show.

1st Morris CALIWAY DOLLY VARDEN – 16 mth old bitch, nicely balanced with good shape and size, feminine, lovely head with good eye, good ear set, and good shaped skull, long enough neck, good shoulders and front, nicely ribbed, with good loin, nice topline & tailset, good rear with low hocks, moved well.

2nd Telfords UISEMADRA TALLULAH – 14 mth old bitch, finer bitch overall, but good shape, lacking skull at the moment, but good ear set, enough stop, lovely eye shape and good muzzle, strong neck, pleasing front, ok for ribbing, good loin, nice shaped stifle and low hocks, gave handler a hard time on the move!

Post Graduate Bitch (2,0)

1st Morris CALIWAY DOLLY VARDEN - Repeat

2nd Weavings KANDALIN GOLDEN STORM – close between these two, 22 mths with nice size & balance, pleasing head with good eye set, nice shaped skull, good eye & expression, ok for neck, nice front angulation with good width, pleasing ribbing & loin, well-shaped stifle and good-hocks, wasn’t quite as fluid on the move as 1, and also handler was stacking her, and she was better left toherself!

1st Stirks GLOI DONN BELIEVE IN ANGELS ABOVE GRAKAR JW – 19 mths old bitch, lovely size and balance, well boned but still feminine, lovely head with correct skull, good ear set, lovely eye and expression, strong muzzle, good length of neck, good front angles, with good width, needs to drop a bit, but this will come with maturity, good ribbing & loin, good rear with good turn of stifle, and good hocks, nice topline, moved well

3rd Willoughby & Williams KANDRELLI SAND PARTRIDGE AT FOULBY

Open Bitch (3,0)

1st Denbighs IR SH CH MALANIS TIME TRAVELLER – 4 yr old bitch, such a lovely bitch with good shape & balance, well boned but feminine, correct domed skull, good ear set, correct amount of stop, going into a strong muzzle, lovely eye & expression, powerful neck, going into nicely angulated shoulders, good width and depth of front, correct barrel-shaped ribs, with deep loin, holding strong topline, correct tailset, powerful rear which she used on the move, nice turn of stifle and low set hocks, moved with reach & drive, with correct rolling motion, correct coat, handled well. Pleased to award her Best Bitch and ultimately BIS, congratulations.

2nd Stirks PHARISES KEEP A SECRET FOR GRAKAR – 4 yr old bitch, another nice bitch with a lot of the same attributes as 1, just preferred the muzzle and rear angulation of 1, but still a quality bitch.

3rd Wilsons ELDARRAH SONG OF FIRE AND ICE

Veteran Bitch (1,0)

1st Bannisters BANYSUN ELIZA – nearly 8 yr old bitch, who didn’t look or act like her age, lovely shape & balance, still holding a strong topline, lovely head with good eye & expression, still has a strong muzzle and good infill, lovely eye & expression, strong neck, going into a good front, parallel with good width, good ribbing & loin, lovely rear, good tailset, just lost out on higher placement as would like a touch more reach & drive, but lovely on the up and down, had to settle for RBB today

KC Good Citizen Dog Scheme Bitch (3,0)

1st Bannisters ELIZA – Repeat

2nd Stoddarts CUBOGLACH RUBY TIGER – 3 yr old bitch who was placed in earlier class, nice size & balance, nice skull and ear set, good eye & expression, would like a stronger muzzle to finish the picture on her head, good ribbing & loin, parallel front and rear, front movement could be tidier, nice rear movement.
