Many thanks to the Society for inviting me to judge, always a pleasure at this show. So many breeds schedules, and lovely sunny day, and good organisation. What more can a judge and exhibitors ask for.

1st Sandiford & Sutherlands HARBINGER’S HIGHLAND TREASURE (IMP CAN) – 14 mth old male, mature for age, good size & bone, well balanced, lovely head with correctly rounded skull, clearly defined stop, good eye shape & colour, long enough neck, well sloped shoulders, nice length of body, deep brisket & well sprung ribs, good topline, and tailset, well bent stifle, moved well with good drive.

2nd Whitings LOCKSHEATH PRINCESS TIANA – 15 mth old bitch who held her own with all the boys, not as mature as 1, good size and balance while keeping her femininity, pleasing head with good skull, and stop, good ear set, nice length of neck, good angles front and rear, nice spring of ribs, would like a touch more behind the elbow which will come with maturity, pleasing rear, moved well while holding her topline.

1st Horlers HERNWOOD JACK O’LANTERN BY RACKENS JW – 20 mth old male, probably top end but balanced with it, lovely head with good skull & ear set, eye could be tighter for preference, good stop, nice length of neck, lovely front, good ribbing and & loin, good topline & tailset, plenty of depth, good width of stifle, moved well with drive. RBOB & Best Special Yearling

2nd Whitings LOCKSHEATH TRUE BALOO – 3 yr old bitch, well balanced with enough bone and feminine, pleasing head with good eye, plenty of stop, enough length of neck, nice front, would like a touch more behind the elbow, good body with well sprung ribs, good topline & tailset, nice profile movement

3rd Fullers ROSEMULLION BRAGANZA (AI)

1st Sandifords HERNWOOD NEPTUNE SEA – 2 yr old male, well boned with lovely size and balance, excels in head, with correct shaped skull, good ear set, lovely shaped eye, dark in colour, prominent stop, leanness of cheeks and clearly defined lips, lovely shape of neck, well laid back shoulders with parallel front, well sprung ribs with deep brisket, good topline & tailset, well angulated rear with good turn of stifle, moved so well in all directions, pleased to award him BOB and delighted to hear he won a very strong Gundog Group.

2nd Horlers KINTALIS WINTER’S KNIGHT BY RACKENS JW – Another nicely bodied male, unluckly to come up against the winner, has all the attributes needed for the breed, just preferred thehead on 1 today. Another that moved out very well.

1st Mills KARROUKI WILDFIRE – 12 mth old male, nice size & bone, needs a touch more definition in head at the moment, but still has to mature, has a good skull, nice shaped eyes & good colour, good muzzle, pleasing front, good ribbing & loin, holding a good topline & tailset, pleasing on the move. Best Special Yearling

1st Barretts KARASZY’S GLORIOUS LEGACY – 3 yr old male, nice size & balance, lovely head with good skull & stop, nice muzzle, ridge on muzzle spoilt the expression a touch for me, but had a good eye, nice parallel front, good ribbing & loin, strong topline & tailset, pleasing rear with good angles and turn of stifle, moved well. BOB

2nd Sutherlands CARNLOCHAN MORNING STAR LUX JCH – 2 yr old bitch, another nice specimen, nice size and balance, feminine, would like a touch more head to finish the picture, but soundly constructed with a good body and she moved well

1st Carricks TESSMENE ONE IN A MILLON – 8 mth old black bitch, good size & balance, lovely head & eye, good skull ear set, correct amount of stop, parallel planes, strong neck, good angles front and rear, lovely body for age, good topline & tailset, moved well for age, pleased to award her BOB, BP & BSY, pleased to see her take Puppy Group 3 in a strong puppy group.

2nd Skoyles TESSMENE SUMMER SENSATION AT SKOCROFT – 13 mth old liver bitch, another with good head and expression, nice overall bone, but still staying feminine, parallel front & rear, good ribbing, touch bum high at the moment, which spoilt overall shape, but still has growing to do so should level out. Nice tail set.

1st Wares ROSSNUT ALICIA – 8 mth old tri colour bitch, nice overall shape, pleasing to go over, would like a touch more head to give overall balance, but head proportions were good, nice angles and body, wasn’t playing ball on the move today, so difficult to assess movement. But did enough for RBOB, BP and Best Special Yearling.

2nd Cunninghams YDALE CHASE THE STARS – 7 mth old black & tan, another nice pup, not as mature in head as 1, but has plenty of time for that to come, pleasing angles front & rear, good topline and tailset, just needs to settle on the move, but still such a baby

3rd McCarthys NAGSHALL SANTA FERDINAND

1st McCarthys NAGSHALL HOLLY LIGHTLY GO – cream bitch of 14 mths, pleasing head with good eye and expression, nice length of muzzle, nice skull, nice front assembly and nice rear angles, just needs front to come up a bit as a touch bum high at the moment.

2nd Broads ELDMOUR SEA LORD OF DINKIDUDLOR – 4 yr old red male, nice overall dog, good head with good expression, nice skull, good front, , nice ribbing & loin holding a strong topline, nice angles both ends, pleasing on the move.

2nd Valentines AMILDA TAMORA TO TIFFWAZZ – 13 mth old black & tan bitch, pleasing head which still needs a touch more maturity, nice angles front and rear, needs to strengthen in topline to complete picture, nice profile movement

1st Wands WANDERHUND PHOENIX SKY – red bitch of 3 years, nice overall balance & profile, pleasing head with good skull, strong muzzle, nice eye and expression, good front, nice ribbing & loin, holding a good topline, good rear, moved well. RBOB

2nd Chapmans-Reiths WANDERHUND LET’S CELEBRATE FOR HAYVENHUND – black & tan bitch of just overall a year, another pleasing bitch, just showed her immaturity at the moment in head, just wanted a touch more infill to complete picture, but nice angles front & rear, good body with solid topline, lovely profile movement.

1st Valentines TIFFWAZZ ROBIN – 3 yr old black & tan bitch, pleasing skull and ear set, eye nice shape but touch light for me, would like a touch more infill under eye, good strong neck, nice front and rear angles, good ribbing and loin, holding a good topline, pleasing on the move.

1st Lockes STARGANG DOT TO DOT – 9 mth old brindle bitch, lovely shape holding a good topline & tailset for age, pleasing head with good ear carriage, good skull, enough stop, lovely eye, good front & rear angles, with good keel for age, strutted her stuff, moved well, BP & BSY

1st Stranges CAZDACHS ZIVA DAVID – Shaded Red bitch of 14 mths, lovely size & balance, nice head with good eye & expression, good ears et, and strong muzzle, god neck, good front, nice ribbing & loinm good rear angles, moved well. RBOB

2nd Rudkins SIOUXLINE ROSS FOR DYNASTYDAX – 13 mth old shaded red male, loved the head on this male, such a good expression, with correct eye shape, enough stop, good ear set, just lost out to 1 on topline today, and wasn’t quite as defined on the move, with a bit more maturity this will change.

1st Chapman-Reiths HAYVENHUND ALONG CAME POLLY – 2 yr old black & tan bitch, pleasing overall shape & size, just need a touch more infill under eye to finish head, nice skull & ear carriage, good neck, nice front & rear angles, could hold better topline, pleasing on the move.

1st Rudkins KEYDAX LAYLA FOR DYNASTYDAX JW – Super 20 mth old black & tan bitch, lovely size and balance, super head with good skull and ear carriage, lovely eye & expression, good length of neck, correct front angulation with good keel, and tight elbows, good length of ribbing and short loin, holding a solid topline, good tailset, beautiful rear angulation, which enabled her to move so well and cover the ground. Pleased to award her BOB and Best Special Yearling, pleased to see her be awarded Group 3 in a large Hound Group

2nd Dimons INDYVIC ENCHANTED ONYX – 10 yr old black & tan bitch who is flying the flag for the veterans. Pleasing overall shape, touch portly now, nice head with good eye and expression, strong neck, pleasing front & rear angles, pleasing on the move just took her time.

1st Langridges CALICOE THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY – 15 mth old red male, lovely outline and balance, good head, with correct skull, good ear carriage, lovely eye and expression, good front, good length of ribbing and short loin, topline could strengthen up a bit, but this could come with age, moved well, RBOB & BSY

2nd Deans ATAHIRA MOCHA SURPRISE FOR BRONTILLOW – 9 mth old Chocolate bitch, nice size bitch, still to mature, pleasing head proportions, eye could be darker for preference, nice front angles, just needs to strengthen, good length of ribbing & short loin, pleasing topline, moved well when settled. BP

2nd Deans BRONTILLOW GRACE DARLING – 3 yr old bitch, pleasing overall shape, nice head with good overall expression, pleasing eye, good ear set, strong muzzle, good neck and shoulders, pleasing front & rear, well ribbed, looking a touch portly today, moved well.

2nd Badmans TECKLEBRIDGE ASHINEE – another nice brindle bitch of 2 yrs old, pleasing overall, would possibly like a touch more head overall to complete the picture, but pleasing angles and body, moved well

1st Walkers DEXIDAX WHISTLING DIXIE – 21 mth old brindle bitch, lovely young bitch, holding a good shape, well balanced throughout, lovely head with correct proportions, dark eye giving a lovely expression, well angulated front and rear, correct amount of keel, good length of ribbing and short loin, well angulated rear, holding good topline, moved well. Pleased to award her BOB & BSY and great to see her win Hound Group 2 in a large strong group.

2nd Wests BYABYE BRILLARE WITH ARCHIDAX JW – red bitch of 2 yrs old, lovely overall shape and make, good head proportions, with good eye and expression, would like a touch more infill under eye for preference, good neck, good angles front and rear, nice body holding good topline, moved well.

1st Timms CARLINCOX SOLID GOLD – 9 mth old male, so together for his age, masculine with good bone, correct size, super head with flat skull, correct amount of stop, well-shaped eye with correct colour, giving correct expression, well set ears, strong muzzle and jaw, long enough neck going into well angulation shoulders, parallel front and rear, deep chest, correct amount of ribbing with strong loin, well angulated rear with good turn of stifle. Moved well, pleased to award him BOB, BP & BSY, and pleased to see him win a strong Puppy Hound Group.

2nd Parkers KIROMOL AS YOU LIKE IT WITH AZULI – 16 mth old bitch, very stylish and balanced, feminine but still strong, lovely head with correct expression, good front and rear angles, nice body with correct ribbing, good loin, holding topline well, moved well, unlucky to come up against the dog.

2nd Timms CARLINCOX GOLDEN AURA – litter sister to my BOB, and many remarks are the same, just a feminine version, just not as settled in front movement as 1st, but still a baby, so this will change as she matures.

1st Larkins RUBICON RED DO THE RIGHT THING ROYAAL PEARL (IMP MNE) ShCM – 3 yr old bitch, again another nice bitch, having all the right attributes, well balanced, nice body, feminine, lovely head & expression, good eye & ear, nicely angled front and rear, nice body with good ribbing, good topline, moved well, but couldn’t quite match the dog, so had to settle for RBOB.

1st Thorogoods SH CH WINHAMPTON OVER THE YARDARM OF HARRIFIELD JW ShCM – 4 yr old male, lovely size & balance, lovely head with correct shaped skull, and good ear set, good stop, well browed, strong muzzle, thick neck going into well laid shoulders, parallel front & rear, holding good topline and tailset, well bent stifle and low hocks, moved well round the ring with purpose. BOB, pleased to see him get a good Group 3 in a strong Gundog group

1st Moons FOXHAMPTON FIELDS OF GOLD – 6 mth old male puppy, still very much a baby, but had lots going for him, nice size & balance for age, wide skull with enough shape, good eye and expression, nicely angulated front and rear with a well-developed body to support, moved well for a baby. BP & BSY

1st Moons DEANWAY SUMMER STORM – 4 yr old bitch nice size & balance, well boned while keeping her femininity lovely head with correct skull shape, lovely eye and expression, correct ear set, strong neck, sloping shoulders, well boned knees, deep ribbing and held good topline, nice tailset, moved as this breed should. BOB

2nd Dunks BONIBLEND HOWARDS WAY TO DUNKUS – 3 yr old male, pleasing dog overall, lovely head with correct ear carriage and skull, good neck, nicely sloped shoulders, bit lazy on front, good ribbing & rear, topline rose slightly, but ok on the move. RBOB

1st Barkleys CHANANGEL MR WHODAT AT CHERRYHEATH – loved this young male of 8 mths, lovely size and balance for age, keeping his masculinity, correct head proportions, will slightly domed head, good stop, and already has good chiselling, lovely eye shape with good expression, clean neck, well angulated front and rear, lovely body holding a good topline, moved so well for a baby, BP, BSY, RBOB and placed 2nd in a strong Gundog Puppy Group, must surely have a bright future in front of him

2nd Buckwells KILLENA IN THE AIR TONIGHT – 6 mth old baby, a real baby at the moment, has a lovely head with correct skull, good eye and expression, but his body needs to catch up with him, still very raw which is to be expected, nice angles, so everything is there for him to grow into.

1st Jones JULITA RUMOURS AT TROSLEY – 3 yr old bitch, lovely shape & balance, well-shaped head with correct skull, good eye & expression, lovely eye & expression, nice front , good ribbing & loin, nice rear, good topline & tailset, moved well

2nd Charles STAGARTH A KIND OF MAGIC – 5 yr old bitch, nice shape & bone, pleasing head with good skull, nice eye and expression, would like cleaner muzzle, nice angles front & rear, pleasing body, touch wide on front movement but nice on profile.

3rd Goughs JULITA RUKESTER

1st Tubbs SLAPESTONES TIDAL WAVE FOR ALSUTU – 4 yr old male, bigger dog but balanced overall, lovely shape & make, good head with nice length, well-shaped skull, good ear set, lovely eye and expression, good length of muzzle, clean neck, going into well laid shoulders, parallel front & rear, deep brisket, well sprung ribs, lovely strong rear with well let down hocks, which he used on the move covering the ground with ease, pleased to award him BOB

2nd Barkleys CHERRYHEATH’S MISS VELOCITY JW – 4 yr old bitch, another nice one, well balanced, good head with lovely expression, correct skull and ear set, good angles front and rear, just lost out today on topline, but moved well.
