Antrim and District Canine Club 7.12.19 

 

I wish to thank June Gould and the committee for the invitation to judge at this well run, friendly show. 

 

Minor Puppy Dog Stakes 9 [4] 

 First three were beautiful promising puppies, who if the continue to mature out, should win their title. 

1. Lloyd’s Montrabella Christopher                                                                        

6-month Lhasa who stole my heart. He has beautiful head proportions, excellent outline, great Lhasa attitude, moved so soundly, presented to perfection. Delighted he went Best Puppy overall. Should have an exciting career ahead. 

2. Coulter’s Micador Circle of Fire                                                                                                       

Toy Poodle, a real showman, nicely balanced head, well placed ears. Nice neck into good shoulders, level topline and well angulated hindquarters. Moved soundly, well turned out.

1. Webster’s Oceane D’an Naoned Avec Dalmarno Jun Ch [Imp Fra] 

Basset Bleu de Gascoigne, correctly marked tri bitch, well mottled. Lovely head proportions, not too broad across skull. Deep chest with prominent sternum. Pleasing hindquarters. Moved out well. 

Shetland Sheepdogs 

Puppy D/B 

1. McKnight/Robinson’s Cinbaramy’s Devil Woman 

 Pleasing head with well tipped ears. Just lacking a little in stop, which hopefully will develop. Good shoulder placement, level topline and nicely angled hindquarters. Jet black coat. BPIB 

2. McKnight/Robinson’s Cinbaramy’s Blown Away 

A big boy with a bit of maturing to do. Nice topline and tail length. Good colour. 

Graduate D 

1. Boyle’s Kylestone Call Me Mister 

Lovely head, with correct stop, oval eyes, flat skull and good ears. 

Pleasing front and oval feet. Good sweep over croup. 

2. Dunlop’s Twinkle Moonlight 

Nice head and eyes, well set ears. Carries a double coat. Correct topline. A little heavy in bone. 

3. McKnight/Robinson’s Cinbaramy’s Blown Away 

Graduate Bitch 

1. Boyle’s Caddymac Wind In The Willows. A real show girl, pleasing head, lovely topline, nice balance, correct oval feet. Moved soundly. 

2. McKnight/Robinson Cinbaramy’s Devil Woman 

Open Dog 

1. Boyle’s Glenn Hurricane Of The Dee Jun Ch. A pleasing outline, well balanced, excellent topline. Lovely head proportions and correct ears and eye placement to give sweet expression. Beautifully presented. Moved soundly with good drive. BOB G3 

2. Dunlop,s Twinkle Moonlight.  

Open Bitch 

1. Boyle’s Chartion Girl Jill. Another one loves to show. Sweetest of heads, great ears and eyes, with correct stop. Correct balance, good layback of shoulder and hind angulation. Correct topline, moved soundly, Res BOB. 

2 Boyle’s Daisyway Funny Girl ShCM.  Well-shaped outline, just a little untidy in front. Well presented. 

Veteran D/B 

1. McKnight’s Cinbaramy Kismet. B/M bitch. Lovely size and shape. Nice sweep over the loin. Oval feet, moved soundly BVIB 

2. Dunlop’s Londonderry King, I believe at his first show. He certainly loves his mummy, never took his eyes off her. Up to size.

1. Robinson’s Daracha Blackberry.Tri in good muscular condition. Excellent ear placement, pleasing head and eyes. Nice front, balanced hindquarters, moved out well, when settled. G4

1.  Douglas’s Talard Keep Your Pokerface. Top quality puppy who scores in clean cut head. Very good overall balance. Shown in beautiful condition. Soundly made, moved freely. Pushed the dog for BOB.

1. Douglas’s Ir. Ch Talard Leathal Weapon Jun Ch. An Ch 18 another top quality dog. Well-proportioned head, with good ear size and placement, giving the desired expression. Great overall shape, firm topline and powerful hindquarters, which he used to give free easy stride. Close up for Group. G2 

2. Douglas’s Ir&CIB Ch. Allmark Naughty But Nice Jun Ch,ShCM 

Completing a trio of beautiful dogs, beautiful balance, lovely head proportions.  Parallel movement. Just a case of a good dog having the finish on a good bitch.

1. Duffus  Ir Ch Radost Zhizni Light Over Kynoch[imp Rus]  Whats there not to like about this bitch? The smiling Sammie! In gleaming condition. Wedge shaped head, excellent black pigment on eye rims and lips. Good bone on forelegs, well laid-back shoulders, well sprung ribs. Moved freely and powerfully. In superb condition. G1

1. Brown’s Cotarinn Snooze You Lose. Pleasing shape, Loved his head proportions, with flat broad skull, deep muzzle, excellent stop. Good layback of shoulder, well boned, correct compact feet. Moved freely. Just a pity he was a little apprehensive today. 

Newfoundland

1. Greer’s Ir Ch Zaiton Picabo Avet Newfamble Lovely breed type with superb temperament. Broad head, correct muzzle, firm eye rims. Strong muscular back, level topline, excellent forequarters, strong hindquarters. Lovely free movement. G1 

 

Dogue De Bordeaux 

                  Open D/B 

1. Cully’s Orange Is The New Black.  The standard is very descriptive of the head, which helps when judging. This bitch displays a very nice head, with her broad, rounded skull, fine wrinkles and prominent cheeks. Upturned jaw. Good bone and tight feet, well ribbed. Sound movement with good drive. G4 

 

Bernese Mountain Dogs 

                   Open D 

1. Murphy;s  Kinelarty Benvenuto Bjorn. Lovely temperament. Good head, with flat skull and well-defined stop. Nice ear placement. Nice neck, great bone and compact feet. Well ribbed. Jet black and rich tan with white. Moved out soundly. BOB 

                    Open B 

1. Murphy’s Kinelarty Amo Tizana. Another with lovely temperament. Pleasing overall shape. Scores in bone, good rib, moved soundly.  Preferred the head of the dog for BOB. 

 

Boxers 

                 Puppy D/B 

1. Murphy’s Foxy Roxy Is Back With Berndrews.  Exuberant puppy, pleasing head, nicely arched skull, good underjaw, dark eye. Nice size and well-placed ears. Good neck going into nice layback of shoulder, bodying up well, feet need to tighten. 

                  Open D 

1. Bell’s Geovanir Nine Tenths O’law With Lynshanes. Lovely headed dog, Skull slightly rounded, deep stop, muzzle well padded. Nice shoulder with excellent topline, well angulated. Moved with drive. 

Open B 

1. Bell’s Lynshanes Penelope Cruz. Nice square head, with dark eye and well-set ears. Good overall shape and well angulated. Moved a little close in front. 

 

Giant Schnauzers

1. Evans & March’s Treuherz Coco Chanel. 6 month baby, who really impressed me. Lovely head proportions, good mouth and well placed ears. Prominent breastbone, excellent topline, good legs and feet. Coat coming well. Moved soundly, one to watch. 

Open D 

1. Campbell’s Mountslemish La Bohe’me. All male dog, has a beautiful head with full furnishings. Excellent front and hindquarters. Moved soundly going and coming, holding his topline. Excels in correct textured coat. BOB G3 

Open B 

1. Evan’s Mountslemish Dark Justice. Feminine with nice breed type. Lovely overall shape. Moved soundly with good drive. 

2. Higgin’s&Rimmer’s  Mountslemish Black Khaviar. Beautifuly presented, with pleasing head. Good body shape, moved parallel. Excellent temperament.

1. Armstrong’s Dunnaney Noble Prince. Large square head with deep stop and correct underjaw. Strong well bodied dog, with well-muscled hindquarters and tight feet. Moved freely with purpose. Lovely temperament. G2
