1st England’s Qualitil Sophies Sunlight (AI) Pleasing young Large Munsterlander with a good head and balance through the body. She needs a little time, which is befitting her age. She has a good rib with quality bone and feet. Moved steadily

1st Bennett’s Jesham Baronet I found this Field Spaniel just delightful, confident and full of breed type. He is so well balanced, his head is chiselled with good open nostrils. His rib is deep and his back is strong. On the move he went with purpose. Best AVNSC and Group 2
2nd Phillips-Baker & Baker’s Gemswin Dennis The Menace at Maddouse A veteran Flatcoat who showed his socks off. He is a little strong in the head, but he has good eye colour and expression. Lovely bone and good feet, with balanced angulation. Moved well.
3rd Wellsted’s Partsky N’Vigie Bottoms Up American Cocker Spaniel

English Setter

1st Pitts Wandsfell Dream Maker Sweet O/B bitch of just 6.5 mths, at her first show. She has a sweet head and pretty expression. She is good through the body with depth in rib for her age. She has balanced angulation and moved steadily once she settled. With a little more experience she will grow in confidence. BP & Gundog Puppy Group 2
2nd Hill’s Bramstorm Swallowtail Of a different type to 1, I preferred the topline and tail set of the winner. She is well off for bone and has tight feet. She was is lovely coat and condition. Moved well once settled, she just needs more experience to make the most of her.

1st Beasley’s Wansleydale Ameretto Tri Bitch who was out of coat but had nothing to hide. Her angulation is balanced front and rear. She is deep enough in rib with good tail set and carriage. Her movement was a little erratic today but I saw enough to give her the class.
2nd Nalls’ Sunny Side Up O/B dog with a nice head and expression. I would like him a little deeper in the rib but his top line is firm. His tail is well set and he moved ok.
3rd King’s Richecca Honey Buzzardat Grantastar

1st Pitts’ Wandsfell Call On Me I judged this dog as a youngster and he is maturing nicely. I preferred his head over 2. He has good shoulders leading to a sound top line. His front and rear angulation are balanced and her presents a pleasing outline standing and has a full coat. On the move I would just like to see him use his tail more. BOB
2nd King’s Dobbie’s Delight at Grantastar Blue dog with good top line and tail set. He is mature in the body and is in good coat and condition, he moved on a good stride.

1st Swainston’s Glenvarna Monterey This young dog filled my eye the second he entered the ring. Beautiful, masculine head with a super expression. He flows from this elegant neck with a slight slope to his top line down to his correct set tail. He is deep in brisket with well sprung ribs and a short loin. His thigh is well developed with short hocks. On the move he is straight and covers the ground well. I was very pleased to award him BOB and Gundog Group 1. I was delighted when he finished BIS. Congratulations. I will follow him with interest.
2nd Turner’s Gwendariff I Won’t ForgetU Close up to the winner, I just preferred the head and shoulder of 1. He has quality bone and tight feet. His front is nicely angulated and his rear is strong. He moved well

2nd Williamson’s Caskeys Solar Eclipse at Bluesprings This boy was slighty finer all through than the winner, but still masculine. OK shoulders with good bone and feet. I would like a little more length to his body. He was short in hock and was in lovely coat and good condition. Moved ok.
3rd Tye’s Braidmount Come To Me

1st Davis’ Pawsword Prarie Wind With Alanasett JW Good head and ear set, with a nice neck good shoulders. He has a slight slope to his topline which leads to a well set tail. He is deep enough in the rib with a moderately angulated rear. Moved well.

Junior (4)
1st Bircham & Oval’s Jimaura Flamenco Queen Almost 14mths old and just right for her age. She has good work in her head with a close sitting ears. Her shoulder is well placed and she has enough dept to her well sprung rib with a good loin. Her moderate rear enable to her move well once she settled. She was giving her handler a hard time today, but I look forward to seeing her mature. Considered for BOB
2nd Roberts’ Fantatrix Roll Tiger Roll Another who was also having a very fun day out. Attractive dog who presents a pleasing outline when he’s settled. Good head with skull of nice width. He has a well angulated front with deep rib, slightly sloping shoulders leading to a good topline. He moved true once he settled.
3rd Ovel’s Jimaura I’m for Caroline

1st Roberts’ Fanmatrix Midnight’s Dream This dog gave a lot away in maturity in the class, but I liked his overall shape and balance. He has a lovely head and kind expression. Moderately angulated all round with nothing exaggerated. He moved well and I would like to see him in a bigger ring.
2nd Ovel’s Jimaura Bandido This boy was stronger in the head that 1, which was the deciding factor. Good sloping shoulder and length of upper arm. Good length and spring of rib a moderately turned stifle. Moved well.
3rd Robert’s Medogold Black Betty By Kananaskis

1st Ovel’s Plungevale Queen Of Hearts at Jimaura A balanced bitch with a nice outline. I would prefer a slightly tighter eye, but her expression is kind. She is moderately angulated front and rear with a good topline and correct tailset. She shows maturity through her body with quality bone and good feet. She moved steadily showing good front extension. BOB
2nd Roberts’ Fanmatrix Oh What A Night I preferred this bitches head over the first. She is more substantial and is another with no exaggerations. She is well developed through the body and moved steadily.
3rd Brooksmith’s Nightgold Blackavar

1st Morgans’ Kennair Dreaming On A Star This boy is stronger in head than I prefer but is not overdone. He has good front assembly with a level topline and good depth to his rib. He is short coupled and has a strong rear with a good angulation. He moved well on an even stride BOB

Cocker Spaniel
Junior (1)
1st Harris’ Melgrove Majic Maker Black dog who is just out of puppy. I liked his head shape and eye. He has a nice length of neck leading to ok shoulders. His upper arm is well laid back and he has good spring of rib to his compact body. He was a little unsettled on the move but this will come with time.
Post Graduate (6,2abs)
1st Whitham’s Arrifana Cassini B&T bitch with a sweet head and expression. She has a clean neck with no sign of throatiness Good shoulder placement and a level topline and correct tailset. Her ribs are well sprung with a compact body with a moderate bend of stifle. She moved out well with typical Cocker attitude.
2nd Pilkington-Ellis’ Molkara Faustus at Brimbeck Black dog, with good depth of rib and tight elbows. His topline is not as strong as 1, but his tail is well set. He has balanced angulation at the front and the rear. Moved ok.
3rd Beckwith’s Troverothway Jack The Lad at Balaambeck
Open (4) 1st Hutson’s Stobytill Hippy Hippy Shake JW Blue Roan bitch with a clean head and gentle expression. Her shoulders are well placed giving her a good length of neck and a level topline. Her upper arm has good return giving her lovely front assembly. Her body is compact and typical, with a good loin. Her rear angulation matches her front, enabling her to cover the ground well and she presented a nice outline in profile. BOB & G4
2nd Whitham’s Arrifana Athena This black bitch has a slightly stronger head than 1 and I preferred the shoulders of the winner as she appeared to be carrying a little weight. She has a good topline leading to correct tailset. She is balanced in the body with her front angulation matching her rear. Moved ok.

1st Ovel’s Jimaura I’m for Caroline – Pointer
2nd Fincham’s Danehaven Ralph – NSDTR Clean head and good eye shape. He has well laid shoulders and close elbows, sitting nicely on his well sprung, deep ribs. His level topline leads to his correctly set and carriage tail. Moved nicely.
3rd Turner’s Gwendariff I Won’t Forgetu – Irish Setter

1st Beardsley’s Wansleydale Amaretto – English Setter
2nd Phipps-Baker & Baker’s Tenfield Alcor at Maddouse – Golden Retriever This bitch has good eye shape and colour. She has well laid shoulders and good return of upper arm. She has a good coat and feathering, with quality bone and tight feet. Her topline standing was lovely, but she just tends to drop it on the move. She moved well, with good extension.
3rd Beckwith’s Troverothway Jack The Lad at Balaambeck – Cocker Spaniel

1st Pilkington-Ellis’ Molkara Crystal Knight at Brimbeck ShCM – Cocker Spaniel Mature black dog, he had a clean head and neck with a kind expression. Lovely front angulation with a deep. His rib is well developed and he has a good loin. Topline is good and flows into his correct tailset. He moved well and carried his tail with a typical happy attitude.
2nd Collins & Powley’s Danhaven Kovik – NSDTR This dog has a nice head and eye. Moderate length of neck and deep rib and good length of back. He moved steadily and efficiently.
