BUBA OPEN SHOW, 23 MARCH 2019 - MINIATURE & STANDARD POODLES

Firstly I would like to thank the BUBA Committee for their invitation to judge and also to my stewards for their sterling efforts. I would also like to thank the exhibitors - as a fellow poodle exhibitor I appreciate the work and effort that goes into getting to a show.

MINIATURE POODLE

Puppy (2, 1 Absent)

Mrs B Cherry, Shanandi Just One Chocolate - 8 month old brown bitch. Strong colour with a dark, well shaped eye.. Very square with a good tailset. Still quite immature but once settled she moved around the ring with style. A very sound, feminine bitch - certainly one to watch. Best Puppy

Yearling (2, 1 Absent)

Miss B Gabriele (handling for Mrs Siderfin), Nutta Gucci Laimingoji Runa - bitch - a petite bitch with pretty head and expression and a dark eye. Presented and constructed well, although I would prefer just a bit more of her. She appeared a little nervous in the ring which affected her movement but I am sure with more experience she will shine.

Post Graduate (2)

1st - Mrs B Cherry, Shanandi Cutting A Dash - black dog - litter brother to the Puppy class winner and Best Puppy. A typical poodle puppy, he thoroughly enjoyed his time in the ring. He is a masculine looking dog with a good head and dark eyes, very square with a good sprung ribcage.

2nd - Mr K & Mrs A Ling, Wykenite Dynamite - a 7 year old dog who enjoyed his day out. Of sound construction, although I would have preferred more neck. He moved around the ring with confidence.

Open (3, 2 Absent)

Mrs M D & Miss C M Cookson, Claumaur Eternal Gossip JW - Best of Breed - a 2 year old black dog - he was square with good angulation and in tip top condition which showed as he moved round the ring. Best of Breed.

STANDARD POODLE

Puppy (2)

These litter mates at just six months old were a picture. They are both extremely well constructed and this showed on the move. On the day the bitch was more settled and displayed just a little more maturity - I am sure they will both excel in the future and I look forward to watching their progress.

1st - Miss C Parker & Mrs KWinwood, Montego Hear Say, White Bitch - Best Puppy - a very feminine pretty bitch. She is well put together with a good reach of neck and drives around the ring with gusto. Her head is just right with wonderful dark eyes.

2nd - Parker & Winwood, Montego Biffy Clyro, White Dog - he has a masculine, lovely shaped head, good dark eye and expression - he certainly enjoyed his day out exhibiting the exuberance we all love in a poodle. Once settled, he moved well round the ring with drive.

Sarnia Midnight Magic - Best of Breed - at 2 year old black dog. Well built with a good head, well sprung ribs and correct tail set he moved round the ring with presence once he had settled - He is a good, honest poodle and appeared to enjoy himself immensely which is always a joy to watch.
