Many thanks to the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this show. Thank your to the exhibitors for a lovely entry and to my two great stewards who kept things moving so efficiently. A lovely relaxed atmosphere and some great hounds to go over - I really enjoyed my day. I would have preferred a larger ring for the breed classes, but all exhibits coped well under the circumstances.
Afghan Hounds
Puppy (3, 1 abs)
1st Lancashire & O'Donnell's Drishaun Don't Guild the Lily
Rich gold bitch of 11 months. Very feminine all through presenting a balanced outline. Pretty head with typical expression. Long neck into well placed shoulders. Enough depth for her age. Well ribbed back with correct topline and croup. Well angulated rear. Good bone. Coat maturing well. Moved with style.
2nd Lancashire & O'Donnell's Drishaun Pictures of Lily
Litter brother to first with many similar attributes, a masculine version of her. Not as forward as his sister, but much to like. Most beautiful head. Needs a touch more confidence to make the most of himself. Moved well.

1st Lancashire & O'Donnell's Drishaun Fair as a Lily BOB, BPIB, G3 & PG1
My star of the day, another from the same litter. Self masked cream male who shouts Afghan Hound. Exquisite head piece. Long neck into smooth shoulders. Well filled in front. Good length of ribbing with correct topline and croup, strong loin and well set tail. Nicely developed rear quarters, good sweep of stifle and low hocks. Really comes alive on the move, covering the ground effortlessly with great style, holding his topline and driving off his hocks. A real spring in his step and an air of arrogance. Presented in first class order and handled to get the very best out of him. Delighted to hear he later took RBPIS, congratulations!
2nd Lancashire & O'Donnell's Drishaun Consider the Lily
This brindle bitch does not yet possess the attitude and confidence of her littermates, but all the pieces are there ready to fall into place. Very feminine. Just dropping her rear quarters a touch when stacked and on the move. Time is on her side.

1st Lancashire & O'Donnell's Drishaun Say She Ain't Gazon (ai) RBOB
Another quality youngster with a very striking colour pattern (blue/cream domino). Full of life and giving her handler a hard time, she is at that 'teenage' stage. She presents a balanced outline, feminine all through. Correct angles front and rear, good topline with correct bone. Once settled she moved very well.
2nd Hayes' Altside Henrietta Musgrove via Saksfifth
Mature blue brindle bitch of super type, elegant and glamorous. Beautiful coat and well presented. Would prefer a firmer topline and more muscle tone all through. Moved soundly away and back showing a good profile gait.
3rd Lancashire & O'Donnell's Drishaun Star Among Lilies
Beagles
Puppy (3, 1 abs)
1st Quinney-Spencer's Quincerhound Oreo Bark BPIB & PG4
Precocious 8 months tri male of obvious quality. Balanced outline. Super head with kind eye and well set ears. Well filled front and super shoulders. Firm topline, strong through the loins and well set tail. Well defined rear quarters and second thigh. Moved with drive and purpose.
2nd Webster's Michelroy Pimpernell with Houndscoast
Tan/white bitch, another very nice youngster. Pretty head with soft expression. Well angulated fore and aft. A touch longer in ribbing and loin than the winner. Good topline held on the move. Moved well up and back and in profile.

1st Keyte & Keepence's Redcap Northern Lights over Alandobel RBOB
Mature tri bitch presenting a lovely overall package. Absolutely loved her head, so typical with a super soft and feminine expression. Strong neck into well placed shoulders. Firm topline and well set tail. Strong rear quarters with good second thigh. Super on the move, covering the ground with effortless and style. Pushed very hard for BOB.
2nd Quinney-Spencer's Quincerhound Charmed Piper
Tri bitch out of a finer mould than the winner. Balanced throughout with a sweet head and well set ears. Good shoulders, ribs carried well back. Level topline and correct tail set. Moved well with her young handler.

1st Quinney-Spencer's Quincerhound American Girl BOB
Red/white bitch, dam of my BP. Another with a beautiful head, super pigment, kind eye and well placed ears. Strong neck into smooth shoulders. Good neck, well filled in front. Good length of rib, well sprung. Back strong and level, firm loin into well angulated, muscular rear end. Excellent bone and feet, tail set on well. Excelling on the move, sound away and back with a free and easy, ground covering stride.

This mature tri bitch showed her heart out. Loved her head, such a melting expression. Super outline, balanced all through with firm topline and correct set tail. Moved out well.

1st Vincent's Imola I'm Your Man at Jematti RBOB
Handsome boy, still has some maturing to do. Super head with good pigment and strong jaws. Adequate length of neck into good shoulders. Good depth of brisket and well filled in front. Well off for bone, strong pasterns and good feet. Ribs carried well back, strong loin. Well angulated quarters, would like to see a touch more muscle definition and strength of second thigh. A bit unsettled up and back, steadier on the go 'round.

1st Davies' Gunthwaite Papa Don't Preach BOB & G1
This masculine lad just got better as the day went on. Presenting a balanced and symmetrical outline without any exaggerations. Liked his head, super dark eye with a kind expression. Strong jaws and well set ears. Strong neck, smooth shoulders. Deep brisket, good length and spring of rib. Excellent topline. Well muscled through the back with well defined loin and powerful rear quarters. Good bone and condition all through. Moved soundly showing a free and easy stride with good drive from behind. Given the bigger ring for the group judging, this boy came to life, covering the ground with confidence and style. Think he will get even better as he matures further.
2nd Murphy & Barnes' Diamondridge De Niro JW ShCM
Another handsome male. Expressive head with a dark mask and eye. Strong neck into very good front angles with deep chest. Ribs carried well back with balanced length of loin. Muscular rear end with strong hocks. Moved well in profile with plenty of drive.

Junior (2)
1st Weymouth's Soufriere Now I'm Here at Woolybassets (GBGV) BAVNSC
Male with nice head and expression. Well set ears. Strong neck into well made front with good depth and infill. Good topline with correct tail set. Firm rear quarters with defined second thigh. Rather long cast all through, so not as balanced as I would like. Coat texture and presentation could be better. Moved sound away and back and really covered the ground in profile, driving off his hocks and holding his topline.
2nd Marshall's Soufriere One Vision (GBGV)
Litter sister to first, built on similar lines. Very feminine with a melting expression. Better coat than her brother, but could not match him on movement.
Post Graduate (2, 1 abs)
1st Marshall's Soufriere One Vision (as 2nd in junior)
