I would like to thank the exhibitors for a lovely entry and giving me opportunity to judge their hounds it was a privilege and appreciated.

LONG HAIRED DACHSHUND.

V (1) 1.Robert’s Ch Swansford Warrador

Eight year old in lovely condition and beautifully presented . Masculine head of correct proportions with a nice dark eye. Enough neck and forechest ,good topline , strong quarters and tail set good.

Very sound on the move covering the ground with ease. BV

PD (2) 1. Robert’s Swandsford Gabrieldor

Seventh month old puppy , super conical shaped head masculine but not over done , good ear set ,correct bite and dark eye. Good keel , and legs well under ,tight feet. Lovely angulation front and rear with a good topline and strong quarters .A joy to watch moving very composed for a puppy excelled for me in reach and drive . His super neck and shoulders gave him the edge over my RBD BD BOB & BP

2. Eve’s Sundayshill Benedict

Six month old puppy lacking the maturity of first ,and being naughty today .

Correct head proportions strong bite . I would like to see a little more keel , balanced fore and aft just struggling to hold his topline on the move this will settle with maturity ok coming and going .

Two year old. Masculine head correct ear set and bite. Enough angulation , and ribbing I would just like a more developed second thigh .moved with purpose and at one with handler.

PB (1) 1. Wedge’s Danton Fire Dancer at Dolans

A ten month old pretty bitch nice dark eye and correct bite . A little more forward in shoulders than I would like , well ribbed with good proportions. True coming and going topline improved when she settled into her stride.

JB (2,1) 1. Vincent’s Tan Socks at Gainscroft

Just out of puppy and not settled to day. I would prefer a little more length in foreface and ear set lower, strong jaws , correct bite and a lovely dark eye. Shoulders ok enough length of rib in good condition and coat moved ok

PGB (1) Wedges’s Faulksfollie Miss Minaver at Dolans

A pretty head of correct proportions and shape with a nice dark oval eye . Oval chest good ribs well muscled and in coat .Moved soundly I would just prefer a little more ground clearance

OB (3,1) Ch Swansford Gemmadora

A quality four year old , lovely head with a soft feminine expression . Well developed keel , good in neck and front , level topline, and super quarters ,

Lovely to watch on the move showing great reach and drive beautifully presented . Delighted to award her BB she only narrowly lost out to PD who stole my heart.

2. Burke & Manston’s Bonavoir Ermintrude

Unfortunate to come up against the first a lot to like about this bitch just not in as good condition today. Pretty head good neck , shoulders could have a little more lay back, correct proportions and tail set . Moved soundly RBB

 A raw eight month old giving his handler a hard time today . Nice conical shaped head , well rounded ear , good pigmentation and dark eyes . Long neck well set on full ribs and deep chest . Well he settled moved well lovely in profile he just needs time to mature .

JD (1) 1. Burke & Manston’s Bonavoir Murdoch

Just into junior and still to mature . Pleasing head strong jaws , correct bite . Good angles front and rear good chest broad rump correct tail set . Dense coat moved with purpose and soundly without any exaggeration .

OD (3) 1. Corish & Moes ‘ Ir Ch Cwmdarhian Wally Lewis

This was a strong class of quality dogs all beautifully presented . Masculine head but not overdone, lovely set on of head, long neck flowing beautifully into super shoulders. Good keel and well sprung ribs deep chest strong back. Good quarters well muscled and in hard condition covered the ground with ease and grace he has a lovely touch of glamour .BD

2. Hunt’s Ch Lauralee Huckelberry Finn At Carpaccio JW

He pushed hard for top place I just preferred the marginally wider front and overall proportions of first . Very sound on the move and in lovely condition .RBD

Very promising pretty ten month old in lovely condition with a good coat . Good head and neck, well angled front and rear with lovely tight elbows and feet . still a baby but excelling in quarters . moved True coming and going with drive lovely in profile holding her topline well RBB BP

2. Williams’ Dovestream Tilly

Head ok I would prefer a little more width in front , long neck level topline not as well developed quarters than first . Feet ok but nails needing attention , moved ok nice in profile

I would like more equal proportions to head and stronger jaw .good pigmentation and a dark eye .Unsettled on the move today .

PGB ( 1) 1. Heels’ Rijobeau Ravishing Rita for Daxonary

Pleasing head with correct bite and a dark eye , topline ok underline spoiled by maternal duties .good tail set and carriage sound on the move

OB (2) 1. Williams&Moes’ Cwmdarhian The Duchess

This bitch is well named as she does indeed carry herself like a duchess .Ultra feminine head and beautiful head carriage flowing into a strong topline and good quarters and in lovely condition true coming and going showing lovely reach and drive she just got better the more she settled into her stride BB BOB

2. Armstrong’s Ch Lauralee To the Manor Born

Another quality bitch who made it a hard decision for me today I just preferred the style of the first and the lovely head carriage . Sound on the move and well constructed .

A seven year old with a masculine head good ear set and strong jaw with correct bite . I would prefer a little more forechest , correct topline and tuck up, well sprung ribs ,nice proportions , tail carriage good Moved a little close behind today ,nice in profile .BV

PD (3,1) 1. Mccarthy’s Santa Cruz

An eight month old with a well proportioned masculine head lovely ear set and a dark eye .Enough forechest and good layback of shoulder, topline ok and good rib shape . Still in puppy coat could just do with a little more condition moved well BP

2. Pike & Carter’s Zarcrest Flash Harry at Breezelyn

Another nice puppy who just lost out on angulation to first and slightly shorter in the loin Again I would like to see a little more condition moved ok when he settled full of enthusiasm today

JD (2) 1. Weston & Johnson’s Ecotyne Devil’s Advocate

A mature fifteen month old with a good head and expression . Well angled with a lovely outline nice tight feet . He caught the eye when on the move and settled covering the ground well , good coat and in condition.BJ RBD

2. Pitfield’s Follyfield Fabrico

I preferred the head of first which had a better earset and eye shape .Decent forechest and tight elbows and feet . Tended to be soft in topline until settled but still a junior . Moved ok

PGD ( 5) 1. Mccarthy’s Nagshall Love to Be

A nice type masculine head with enough keel good chest and shoulder layback . Correct topline and reasonable quarters . Tight feet and nice tail carriage made a pleasing outline when stacked .

2. Macmichael’s Cheniesvilla Prince Casper

I would have liked a little more weight on this dog.

Nice head and eye enough forechest and topline ok shorter in the loin than first and not as positive on the move today

A lovely dog to go over everything correct and lacking exaggeration . In good coat and condition he excelled in construction which was clear to see when he moved lovely in profile he effortlessly strode out covering the ground well a pleasure to award him BD and BOB

2. Pitfield’s Follyfield Farley’s Falls

Just doesn’t have the angulation of the first pleasing head nice oval eye and expression.clean neck and well sprung ribs .moved ok would benefit from some roadwork

Ten year old who obviously enjoyed showing pretty head and in good condition for her age moved ok

PB (4,2) 1. Murphy’s Frenchfavour Linen at Classidax

A seven month old happy puppy , correct conical head nice length of neck and enough forechest with legs well under and ok feet. Held her topline well for her age nice in profile true coming and going

2. Phillips’ Summerview Miss Belle

The first had better forechest and was a lot more settled today and this was reflected in how she performed I believe unfortunately she had a fright and wasn’t happy today

JB (4,2) 1. Pitfield’s Follyfield Farfalla

Nice head and expression ok enough neck and well proportioned with spring of rib exuberant today and carrying her tail a little high which spoiled her outline in profile true coming and going andnice when stacked

2. Mccarthy’s Nagshall Holly go Lightly Go

Smaller made than first and not as positive in topline on the move today and not well developed second thigh

PGB (7,1) 1. Weston & Johnson’s

A three year old a nice conical head , correct bite ,enough neck and shoulders ok correct proportions a nice shape on the stack moved ok

2. Clewes’ Shardbeck Miss Teak

I preferred the head on the first and this lady could do with better condition and muscle tone

Moved ok and at one with her handler.

3. Mortlock’s Metadale Anastasia at Hertsmerry

OB (8,3) 1. Weston&Johnson’s Ecotyne Witchcraft

A lovely bitch with correct construction and nice proportions ,pleasing head soft expression and good pigmentation. Flowed on the move as you would expect when made right caught my eye when she entered the ring BB

2.Mccarthy’s Nagshall Love Constantly JW

I just preferred the head and expression of first a sound mover who covered the ground well and nice in profile

This lady was really enjoying her day out and at one with hander moved ok and in nice condition and coat

Just into veteran class and certainly not showing signs of age . Lovely masculine conical head ,super pigmentation and a strong jaw , good clean neck and well laid back shoulders plenty of forechest topline correct enough tuck up and ground clearance , strong thigh bones well muscled and in hard condition very positive on the move true coming and going only .RBD &BV

PD (5) 1. Rowe’s Boloria’s Aramis

A quality puppy with attitude to make me smile, beautifully handled . Masculine head good forechest well proportioned nice tight feet and a harsh coat showing nice reach on the move he just lost out to sister in challenge for BP on rear drive but they could easily swap places .

2. Graham’s Stanegate Shot in the Dark

Not as mature or as settled as first ,strong head enough forechest and neck just lost out on layback of shoulder to first moved well true coming and going

A quality youngster with lots of promise for a long career . Good head obviously male with a kind eye Good forechest and layback of shoulder and good head carriage on the move strong loin and well developed second thigh He obviously adores his handler and never let her down positive on the move he just squeaked BD as in better coat today BJ & BD

2. Effer’s Greyhayne Hector

Lacking the maturity of first strong head and jaw ,Lost out on angulation to first enough neck and keel level topline moved well

PGD (8,1) 1. Chambers’ Cishelvine Just a Kiss with Hototo

A lovely youngster with typical wire attitude . Good head well proportioned dark eye and a strong jaw .Enough keel and width of chest strong back quarters and hocks. Lovely to watch in profile and positive coming and going

2. Frampton’s Weinacht Larch at Drakkina

I preferred the head and expression of first . A rangier dog over all good ground clearance and in good condition and coat . Moved true coming and going holding his topline well in profile

3. Sweeney’s Sungsong Almond Biscotti

OD (4) 1. Gibson’s Allfreys Here’s Lookin at You

Masculine head but not over done good pigmentation and correct bite . Head carriage good ,enough keel and correct angles quarters strong lost out on top honours today on coat and condition.

2. Mccalmont’s Ch Silvae Trader

Well presented but unsettled today and not making it easy for his handler .

Masculine head just a little stronger than I like enough neck and shoulders ok correct topline longer in the loin. When he settled to the job in hand showed a positive action lovely in profile

3. Adam’s Wyldetarn Shoot from the Hip JW

A very happy boy enjoying the job in hand. head ok a little narrower in front than I would like in good coat and condition moved ok

2. Lost out to first on coat and forechest to first but another very happy dog who obviously adored his handler moved ok

PB (7,1) 1.Rowe’s Boloria’s Miss Dior

Utterly charming puppy bitch who oozes quality and personality. Pretty head and wistful expression with an oval eye of good colour .She opitimises long and low but in no way overdone everything in moderation . A joy to watch moving with an easy stride very positive for a puppy happy to award her BP over her brother .

2. Gibson’s Allfreys Matilda

A little less bone than first but an equally pretty puppy. Well constructed with a good harsh coat She just lost out on movement for me today .

3. Wharton’s Greyhayne Black Myrtle

JB (4,2) 1. Clayton – Smith’s Clairparavel Kiss from a Rose

Fifteen month old in good coat . Head ok strong jaw and correct bite . Enough forechest legs well under feet ok . Level topline reasonable condition and second thigh moved ok an honest bitch

2. Howe’s Bramalodge Biddy Boo

Femine head I would like to see a little more bone , not as well angulated as first and consequently lost out on movement for me

PGB (3) 1: Bramalodge Betsy Button

A lovely type, pretty head of lovely proportions. Enough neck , good bone , angulation ok strong broad quarters in good condition and coat moved with style and nice head carriage in profile

2. Clayton – Smith’s Cairparaval Lilac Wine

Litter sister to winner of junior and a similar type and construction I just preferred the lay back of shoulder in first good coat and condition

3. Baker’s Allfreys Henrietta

This bitch for me optimises the standard nothing overdone but all correct and well put together . In super condition with well developed muscle and lovely harsh coat and very pretty with a knowing expression She e stood out for me when she really got going on the move she made it look so easy and effortless with such a lovely head carriage and set on of neck into shoulders and strong topline a pleasure to award her BB & BOB

2. Mccalmont’s Silvae Trademark

Unlucky to meet the first in such super condition and on form Another quality bitch who is hard to fault lovely proportions and shape good coat and moves beautifully with drive and reach unfortunately for her one stole my heart today
