AVNSC Hound

P (2) 1, Blitzlilie Girl with No Name, Beagle, well grown w/t of excellent make and shape, clean front, tight feet, plenty of scope with a pleasing head, clean out and back with correct stern and plenty of merriment about her, Best AVNSC Hound Puppy, PG1; 2, Amaffrey Aretha Franklin, MS Dachs, shaded red baby with a lot to like, nice houndy head with dark eye, very good front and tight feet, well ribbed up, shows enough ground clearance, moves well all round.

J (5,2 abs) 1, Calicoe Thank God it’s Friday, WH Dachs;  this well-proportioned red has a lovely houndy head with good furnishings, big teeth and strong jaw, well laid shoulder, plenty of depth and length of ribbing, level topline and correct tail carriage, strong rear which he used to good advantage, really strode out well in profile and clean coming at me, harsh close fitting wire coat. Best AVNSC Hound and G2; 2, Globalridge Red Coral, Rhodesian Ridgeback, a promising young lady at just 12 months, feminine head with appealing expression, flat skull, good length of neck into excellent shoulder and good return, clean bone and good feet, plenty of fill, well ribbed up, very good ridge, moved soundly though she was inclined to crab a little. 3, Swingletrees Tumbling Dice, MS Dachs.

PG (3), Amaffrey Good Golly Ms Molly, b/t MS Dachs, lovely outline, clean line from neck into well laid shoulder and along a level topline, super front and feet, strong quarters and she went round the ring as if she owned it showing plenty of drive and freedom. Not quite the head properties of her kennelmate but she moved much better to take RBNSC Hound; 2, Blitzlillie Winter is Coming, Beagle, pleasing overall shape with a feminine head and outlook, moved well all round, good angles both ends, a touch wide in front; 3, Labbadax Inspiration for Dimerlin, LH Dachs.

O (1) Goodtry Ruby Tuesday at Amaffrey ShCM, MS Dachs; Superb houndy head on this shaded red bitch, well balanced with plenty of keel and a really good front, tight feet and short nails, as with all this exhibitor’s hounds. Level topline, well ribbed up, strong rear. I liked her a lot and I see from my records that I have done her well before, but she was too exuberant on the move and expending too much energy going up and down instead of forward.
