Chichester & District CS Limited Show 30 September 2019 

  

AVNSC Minor Puppy (3, 1 abs) 1, Edgington’s Cocker Spaniel, Uxendel Rather Dashing, 8 months  with a pleasing soft expression, well balanced outline and moved cleanly all round, plenty of Cockery attitude, very nice. BPIS; 2, Wade’s Bulldog, Linmist Just You and I, moved soundly with evident but not excessive roll, good breed typical conformation. Bottom teeth clearly visible. 

 

AVNSC Puppy (2,1) 1, Pine’s Irish Setter, Seowns Snoops, elegant youngster who was clean going away and in profile, typical head and expression, rich red colour, still at legs and wings stage. RBPIS. 

 

AVNSC Junior (9,1) Some really classy youngsters in here. 1, Woodcroft’s Whippet, Cobyco Cover Queen, w/br youngster with much going for her, good angulation both ends, not overdone; enough fill and stands over plenty of ground, strong loin and in fit condition; pretty feminine head, clean front and feet; 2, Small’s Border Terrier, Howthwaite Gentil Duke at Tilmoray, lovely otter head with pleasing expression, well made all through, up to size but with well balanced angles and correct ribcage; 3, Whelan’s Mastiff, Toadhall Mr Bumble of Arleith (Imp NZ). 

 

AVNSC Yearling (7,1) 1, Lewis’ Otterhound, Olphae Charman, lovely masculine houndy head, excellent coat and furnishings, moved very well helped by his balanced moderate angulation; 2, Holt’s Wire Fox Terrier, Selvina Go Go Gloria, beautifully presented and of excellent type with clean-lined head and breed typical angulation. Clean out and back, a little reluctant to put best foot forward in profile; 3, Coe’s GSP, Goosepoint Waddington at Abbanash. 

 

AVNSC Beginners (1, abs) 

 

AVNSC Novice (5, 1 transferred to Open) 1, S Snoops; 2, Mouldings’ PBGV, Nykarth Perfect Moment, nice houndy type with correct eye, ear and furnishings, made right enough but a little too onward bound on the move, needs to gain in confidence; 3, Mears’ Dobermann, Maralidobies Bonnie. 

 

AVNSC Graduate (4,2) 1, S Go Go Gloria; 2, Brown’s Papillon, Rumble Bumble Daydream Believers (Imp Bel), lovely head and expression, short back, well carried tail, strong quarters, full set of clean even teeth, very nice type, just throwing his front a little coming at me . 

 

AVNSC Post Graduate (5,2) 1, Unwin & Stanbury’s Papillon, Inixia Dressed to Kill, another very nice Pap with a most appealing expression, again a full set of clean and even teeth, well bodied and movement precise and sound; 2, Cadman’s Labrador Retriever, Ashlawn Lord Byron, quite a handful but did enough to show a pleasing outline and decent movement, good feet, well-carried otter tail; 3, Bastable’s Gordon Setter, Locksheath Black Cherry. 

 

AVNSC Limit (7,1) Best class of the evening. 1, West’s MWH Dachshund, Byabye Brillare with Archidax, what a cracking young bitch, real Dachshund head with excellent furnishings, superb front and feet with ample sternum and keel, enough clearance, well ribbed up, level topline, strong well-muscled rear, full of activity; BIS; 2, Everley’s Dobermann, Manzart Voodoo Magic, lovely type of mature bitch, feminine head with strong jaw, good flow through neck and well-laid shoulder, super feet, moved very well all round, in fit condition; would have been in strong contention for RBIS but had gone home; 3, Dukes’ Cesky Terrier, Janski Theodore by Runiks. 

 

AVNSC Open (2,1) 1, Templeton’s Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Janastaff Freya at Marudi, dark brindle, in beautiful gleaming coat and fit condition, pleasing head, good feet, well ribbed up; a little up on the leg. 

 

AVNSC Veteran (5,2) 1, West’s MSH Dachshund, Archidax Bonneville, this super little bitch has not lost any of her keenness for the show ring; lovely type and construction all through, full of character, she knows how good she is and makes sure the judge knows it too! Close up: BVIS; 2, Thomas’ Bolognese, Belstown Grace’s Carol, well balanced, correct coat, square outline, moved nicely; 3, Small’s Border Terrier, Tilmory Turtle Dove. 

 

AVNSC Good Citizen Dog (5,1) 1, Jones’ GSD, Kintaro Hot off the Press ShCM, head perhaps not her strongest point but she is really well balanced with excellent forehand, correct topline, strong well angulated quarters with no sign of weakness, powered round the ring with long athletic strides, plenty of substance, no exaggeration whatsoever; RBIS; 2, GSP, G Waddington at A, plenty to like about him, masculine balanced head, excellent construction, moved really well, just going through the teenage stage and time is on his side; 3, Davey & Vine’s Tibetan Terrier, Rhubisk Going for Gold with Samar.
