Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge, I had a lovely day, helped along by lovely stewards and some super dogs to go over, thank you for your entries. Delighted to see my BOB Cocker spaniel, Field Spaniel & Spanish Water Dog shortlisted for BIS, & my BP GSP, Springer Spaniel & Spanish Water Dog shortlisted for BPIS with my BP Field Spaniel taking a well deserved BPIS 3.

Cocker spaniel.

Puppy (5,1)

1st Matthew’s, Sonham Jimmy Choo. Lovely shaped orange puppy, nice head of good proportions, ribs of adequate spring for age, well angulated front and rear quarters, correct shoulder placement, level top line, well rounded rear, neatly presented, enthusiastic on the move, nice to see a happy puppy. BP.

2nd Harrison’s, Lourisma New Statesman. Handsome, more mature dog, again neatly presented, nice head with dark well shaped tight eyes, good spring to rib going back to a short strong loin, moved well, just preferred croup on 1st.

3rd Edwards’s, Manlinson Silver Bush.

Junior (3,2)

1st Prydderch’s, Rockllocers Ibi. Nice feminine head, good dark tight eye, ears well set, nice strong neck, moved well when settled.

Graduate (3,0)

1st Proudler’s, Kimapa Krazee Kritter. Best mover of the class, shoulders well laid, correct angulated front, good spring to rib.

2nd Prydderch’s, Rockllocers Saru. Sweet headed bitch, nice strong neck, shoulders well laid, moderate spring to rib, good set to tail.

3rd Cowie Brazier’s, Vittador Cinderella.

Post Graduate (4,1)

1st Shrinkfield & Lester’s, Quettadene Touch the Stars JW. Lovely square cobby black bitch, sweet head, cleanly chiselled with nice tight dark eye, strong neck into well laid shoulders, good bone throughout, ribs well sprung reaching back to a well muscled short loin, level top line with correct tail set, stifles well bent, presented beautifully, moved with merry action. BOB shortlisted for BIS.

2nd Hall’s, Hey Georgie Boy at Shirrmontana. Square handsome dog, nice clean head, well angulated front and rear, presented well, moved ok.

3rd Proudler’s, Ringslade Fisher King for Kimapa.

2nd Prydderch’s, Rockllocers Caramel biscuit. Very pretty bitch, nice clean head, tight eye & sweet expression, moved with merry cocker action & ever wagging tail.

3rd Proudler’s, Kimapa Kinda Krazee.

1st Clarke’s, Reulemill Bless the Wings. Very sweet bitch, beautiful head and expression, strong neck, clean throat, adequate spring to rib for age, strong muscular loin, good bend to stifle, moved beautiful when settled. BP shortlisted for bpis.

Graduate (2,1)

1st Thomas’s, Tigerrock Super Ted. Handsome dog with nice almond shaped eye and pleasing expression, strong straight boned front, good spring to rib, well presented, good turn to stifle, moved ok.

Open (1,0)

1st Clarke’s, Beaters Barron JW ShCM. Handsome dog, skull of medium length, fairly broad, slightly rounded, well chiseled below eyes, deep chest, good spring to rib, adequate bend to stifle, lovely level top line with slightly arched croup, moved well and happy. BOB.

Field Spaniel.

Puppy (2,0)

1st Moss’s, Fecimus Chase the Dream to Ewtor. Loved this boy, well off for bone throughout and well muscled, beautiful head of good proportions with nice chiselling, tight almond eye with sweet expression, flat straight boned front, adequate spring to rib for age, strong loin, good bend to stifle, moved with style. BP & PG3.

2nd Smith’s, Fecimus Living the Dream at Flyenpyg. Sweet feminine head, lovely bitch built on smaller lines but well balanced, many attributes as 1, 1 just had the edge on maturity and attitude today.

1st Moore’s Elgert Sweet Little Lies at Gadhelic. Very sweet head, well chiselled, tight eye and sweet expression, straight flat boned front, good depth of chest, ribs deep well sprung , loin strong and straight, tight rounded feet, well angulated front and rear, moved with drive. BOB, shortlisted for BIS.

2nd Moore’s, Elgert China Girl for Gadhelic. Many attributes as 1, 1 just had the edge on movement.

3rd Mcvitty’s, Sonnetend Faith.

German Shorthaired Pointer.

Puppy (9,2)

1st Sielski’s, Orchidstar Okey Dokey. Absolutely loved this bitch, beautiful head of correct proportions, lovely tight eyes with soft intelligent expression, muscular and slightly arched neck thickening towards gently sloping shoulders, sufficiently muscular and strong bone throughout, ribs deep and well sprung for age, reaching well down to tuck-up of loin, Thighs strong, Stifles well bent, Hocks square with body, coat flat and coarse, movement was effortless. BOB & BP, shortlisted for BPIS.

2nd Rose & Gaffney’s, Pingarypoint The Way to Kavacanne JW. A lot to like about this bitch, she had many attributes as 1, I just preferred movement on 1 today. I think both will have bright futures.

3rd Drysdale’s, Drysika Foxtrot.

Graduate (4,1)

1st Sielski’s, Orchidstar Willy Nilly. Litter brother to BOB & BP, both are so similar, cut from the same mould, this boy had a handsome more broader head and muzzle, with soft intelligent expression another I liked very much.

2nd Rose’s, Kavacanne at Karwendel. Nice head, tight eye with intelligent expression, strong neck, ribs reaching back to adequately tucked up loin, stifle well bent, moved ok.

3rd Barker’s, Radstorm Legal Eagle at Barkersdream.

1st Milligan’s, Isara Kurzhaar All Spice. Sweet very feminine head of correct proportions, tight fitting eyes with intelligent expression, muscular neck into well placed shoulders, ribs sufficiently deep and well sprung, Thighs strong, muscled with well bent stifles, Hocks square with body, coat flat and coarse, seemed unsettled on the move.

2nd Hunt’s, Kavacanne Gale Force Wind. Nice head of good proportions, ribs well sprung and reaching back, coat of coarse texture, well muscled throughout, moved well.

3rd Flaherty & Reddyhough’s, SH CH Isara Kurzhaar Wieser JW ShCM.

Spanish Water Dog.

Puppy (1,0)

1st Hodgkinson-Rutherford & Rutherford’s, Chanderhill Bit of a Pickle. A lot to like on this pretty bitch, strong head with parallel planes, pigment to nose and eyes harmonising with coat colour, short muscular neck set into well set shoulders, strong straight boned forequaters, deep chest ribs well sprung for age, moderately angled, well muscled rear quarters, coat of correct curled consistency with a woolly feel to it, sound movement with powerful drive. BOB & BP, delighted too see her shortlisted for BIS & BPIS.

2nd Sojka-Flaga, Toddini Viking Express. Handsome dog with a strong head, parallel planes, correctly set oval eyes, very expressive, well angulated fore and aft, deep chest with well sprung ribs, moved with drive.
