Junior Handling

I was delighted when I was asked to judge Junior Handling at this show as I enjoy going every year. It was a privilege to judge such talented young handlers and I think they all put lots of effort into the presentation of themselves and the dogs they were handling. 

I was extremely impressed by the talent and skills these handlers dusplayed, which made my decision a tricky one. I hope to see them handling again in the future. I was also overwhelmed by the generous hospitality displayed by the show committee and I’m a thankful to them for giving me this opportunity.

1. Toni McCue, age 10, A great handler, showed immediate connection with the dog as they communicated well. Lines were straight and well presented however when doing the T-shape, her lines could have been a bit neater. Overall a great performanc.

12 - 16

1. Katie McMillian, age 14, An eye catching handler, moved fluidly with her dog, communicating with the dog as well as making sure to check where I was at all times. Lovely straight lines and answered all questions correctly which secured this handler Best Junior Handler overall.
