Christchurch & New Forest Open Show

Judge: Krystyan Greenland

19th May 2019

It was an absolute honour to judge my first BIS for this super society. Thank you so much for inviting me. The show ground is super. It was just a shame the rain could not hold off, but this couldn’t dampen my excitement. An appointment that I will never forget!

BIS

An excellent line up had been sent through by the group judges.

BIS- Erskin-Jones’ Unohoo La La Land. Tibetan Terrier. Glamorous, but all dog under that coat. Filled the eye from all angles. Sturdy and medium in size. Typical head which is not over done and is well furnished with long hair. Eyes are set fairly wide apart and large. Ears set fairly high. Neck is strong and muscular. Shoulders are well laid. Upper arm slopes correctly. Square in outline. Brisket reaches the elbows. Level topline and short loins which are slightly arched. Well bent stifles. Feet correct for size. Tail set on high and carried correctly for the breed. Exhibited effortless reach and drive. Typical coat for breed. Very well handled and deserving of this award.

RBIS – Howlett, Boggia & Koulermou’s Ina’s Fashion Dedicated To Boughton. Greyhound. Pushed the winner hard. Upstanding greyhound with impressive and immaculate outline. You cant help but admire it! Long head of correct width. Flat skull and slight stop. Powerful jaws. Well chiselled throughout. Oval eye which are obliquely set. Very well constructed throughout. Deep chest with ribs deep and carried well back. Great underline. Super mover from all angles. In superb muscular condition and first class handling.

BPIS

Super line up of quality puppies.

BPIS – Coldwell’s Zentaur This Is Jam Hot (AI). Newfoundland. Now here could be a little  super star. Head is developing so well, showing good width already. Short muzzle which is clean cut. Attractive expression with eyes that are wide set and without showing any haw which is something I value greatly in this breed. Eye colour is harmonising with coat. Ears are small and of a lovely shape and set square with the skull. So pleased to see no excessive jowls. Lovely neck leading into very well laid shoulders. Upper arm brings her forelegs right under her. Well ribbed for age. Body length greater than height. Excellent strong rear with very good angulation. Tail set and carried correctly. I loved her and was very pleased to award her this placing.

RBPIS – Harrell’s Odyssee De Sainte Petronille. Beauceron. If you were looking for sound puppy, here was one! A very promising puppy with all the essentials of good breed type. Head is in proportion to the body. Skull flattish with slight furrow. Defined occiput. Felt her skull was of correct width compared to length. Parallel head planes. Dark oval eyes. Muscular neck. Well angulated fore and aft. Longer in body compared to height. Chest deep enough for age. Tail reaches to hock and is carried low. Double dew claws present. Easy and effortless stride. Shall watch her progress with interest.

BVIS

BVIS – Hoods’ Ch Arnscroft Di Nah Sawr Us Rex ShCM. Norwegian Buhund. An old friend of mine who I have never seen looking so good. Filled the eye here. Super head with typical Buhund expression and correct wedge. Neck long enough. Shoulders well laid and upper arm returns enough. Chest reaches to elbows and is ok for width. Topline firm and straight. Well turned stifles. Tail set is high and well curled. Feet small and oval in shape. Moved to perfection with no exaggeration. Really looked a picture. In excellent form.
