Bullmasiff

Junior (2,0)

1st: Ras’ Suenomia Flavia Aurelia. 6 months and very immature. Head developing ok. Ear set wide and high. Neck slightly arched. Moderate angles throughout. Looking immature in body. Moved quite soundly. BOB & BP

2nd: Ras’ Suenomia Aurelia Cotta. Preferred this one for this age but was unfortunately not so sound in front as 1st . Head of correct proportions. Body just off square. Topline firm. Shows promise. Movement let her down here.

Alaskan Malamute – Lovely entry.

Puppy (2,0)

1st Forsey’s Muzoku Maleficent Me. A super attractive puppy who must have a great future ahead. Head is coming along very nicely for her age. Very feminine. Eyes of lovely shape, set obliquely and nice and dark in colour. Ears could be just a tad smaller. Lovely neck into very well laid shoulders. Upper arm returns well. Nice bone for age. Needs to go up slightly on the leg to balance length of body. Chest developing well. Firm loins. Topline slopes slightly down from shoulders to croup as required. Tail moderately high set and presents a waving plume. Hocks low to ground and firm. Beautiful side gait covering the ground with such ease. Very precise out and back. A very promising young lady indeed. Presented to perfection as usual. BP & RBOB.

2nd: Dwyer & Wallace’s Articrainbow Heat Wave ay Thundaspirit. Just under the year and full of personality. Developing well. Eyes of correct shape and set and dark in colour. Muzzle rather too tapered for me, but should come on. Ears a tad big. Skull is broad enough for age. Moderate length to neck. Rather square in outline. Not the angles of 1st being rather more moderate. Chest still to develop on. Tail set high. Moved a little erratically. Should come on nicely.

Post Graduate (2,1)

1st: Forsey’s Libertia Platinum Princess. Smaller end of the standard. Bone ok for size. Skull is broad and muzzle is ok for a bitch. Lovely shape and set to eyes. Ears are wide set but perhaps a shade pointed. Skull is broad. Balanced angles fore and aft. Nice proportions to body. Slight slope to topline. High set tail and nice waving plume. Excellent movement from all angles.

Open (4,1)

A lovely class, headed by two dogs I have admired greatly in the past.

1st: Wolfe’s Ch Hawkeye Polarni Usvit. No hiding I’m a fan of this super dog. First class head – just how I imagine a Malamute! Broad head without any coarseness. Broad between ears. Muzzle is large in proportion to the skull and barely diminishes in width or depth. Slight stop. Lovely dark, oblique set eyes, Excellent ear set and they are correct for size with slightly rounded tips. Wonderful expression. Strong neck with moderate arch. Well laid shoulders. Upper arm could angle back slightly more for my preference. Scores in body proportions, being not too compact with length through the ribcage and has short muscular loins. Deep chest. Slight tuck up. Topline as required by the standard. Excellent turn of stifles. Pasterns slightly sloping. Hocks firm. Tail set spot on and presents a waving plume. Excellent mover from all angles. Grand dog. BOB

2nd: Forsey’s Dark Diamond Snowflake of Engel at Muzoku ShCM. One I have previously awarded a group and has so many lovely qualities that I admire in this breed. Head is in proportion to size of the dog. Has good width. Muzzle has good depth. Tad more stop than 1st. Prefer the overall expression of 1st. Eyes are of good size and shape but just a tad more level set than 1st. Ears are wide set and have slightly rounded tips. Muscular neck. Super shoulders. Slightly better return of upper arm than 1st.  Topline level. Chest nice and deep and excellent width. 1st has slightly better body proportions. Ribs carried well back. Strong, firm loins. Moderate angulation behind with strong hocks. High set tail and presents a waving plume. Excellent pasterns and feet. An excellent mover from all angles, but did not move out as well today as I know he can – probably the slippery grass ring.

3rd: Dwyer’s Marahootay Heartland at Thundaspirit.

Bernese – What a super engaging breed this is.

Puppy (3.0)

1st: Birds’ Cullumbern Milano. Just 6 months and could have taken him home with me. Rightly immature, but he showed good breed type here to take the 1st place. Lovely symmetrical markings. Good development to skull for age and correct proportions. Correct eyes for shape and set. Ears set high in a line slightly higher than his eye spots. Tight lips. Lovely angles. Chest obviously  very immature but shows good development for age. Firm topline slightly rounded rump. Excellent rich markings. Coat to develop. Displays a super side gait. Shall watch his progress with interest. BP

2nd: Heads’ Cullumbern Valencia Millermead. Litter sister to 1st. Not quite so collected yet as her brother, but shows equally nice qualities. Again, nice symmetrical markings with slightly wider blaze than 1st. Skull developing well and is of correct shape. Eyes dark and almond in shape. Lovely neck leading into well laid shoulders. Body obviously still very much developing. Topline firm and level. Smoothly rounded rump. Stifles are well turned. Hocks are firm and low to ground. Short, round feet. Again displays a super side gait. Coat developing. Two lovely puppies. Felt these two scored over third who is just a tad too leggy and fine boned for me and eyes were slightly loose.

3rd: Beets’ Tamarbern Dreaming Spires of Wilobazmajic

Junior (2,0)

1st: Sutton & Davenport -Willis’ Nelstephbern Dior Foreva. I felt this was a very nice quality bitch, showing enough substance and bone for age. Lovely head with flattish skull and good proportion of muzzle to skull. High set ears. Lovely dark, expressive eyes that are of almond shape. Nice symmetrical markings. Chest is developing well. Excellent angles fore and aft and just off square in body proportions. Firm topline and smoothly rounded rump. Good pasterns and hocks. She does fill the eye and I’m sure she will do well when she fully matures and gains in confidence. Excellent mover, covering the ground very well. Typical bright sheen to coat.  Would have had her BOB if she had let me go over her a bit more.

2nd: Heads’ Cullumbern Valencia Millermead.

Post Graduate (2,0) – A tricky class.

1st Stephenson’s Kernow Something Perfect. An attractive dog with nice symmetrical markings. Skull is quite wide. Muzzle is ok for shape and depth. Ears are highest. Eyes are nice and dark and almond in shape. Neck is a little stuffy for me. Moderate angles fore and aft. In my opinion, he is slightly too narrow in the chest. Upright in pasterns. Chest reaches the elbows and ribs extend well back. Loins are broad. Just off square in proportions. Tail is bushy and reaches the hocks. Slightly rounded rump. Rich markings. Even mover. BOB over the less confident junior bitch.

2nd: Bird’s Cullumbern Roman Toga With Millermead JW. I love the type and construction of this bitch, but, for me, she was just too weighty over the shoulders and this made her ‘sag’ in front. Better width all through than the winner and more scope to angulation. Lovely feminine head with strength and good symmetrical markings. High set ears. Dark eyes. Chest is well let down to elbows. Standing a little bum high. Good angulation behind. Very sound mover.

Leonberger

Post Graduate (1,0)

1st: Woodbridge’s Dacfolke Kenwyn. A rangy bitch that would benefit from more width throughout. Typical head which is elongated and has a typical roman nose. Eyes oval in shape. Colour just about ok to give that kind expression. Neck of good length. Pretty well angulated all through. Longer than tall. Chest reaches to elbow, but could have more width Slightly too much tuck up Tail set and carriage are good. Moves with easy strides. Well handled in tricky conditions. BOB

Newfoundland.

Puppy (2,0) – Two lovely puppies here.

1st: Mills & Chatburn’s Zentaur Drop It Like Its Hot For Oialt. A very elegant young lady who obviously has lots of maturing to do. Skull is wide with well defined occiput. Slight stop. Muzzle short enough and good depth throughout. Wide set eyes of very good size and colour. Ears compliment head. Wonderful Newf expression - very gentle! Super reachy neck into very well laid shoulders. Super return to upper arm. Bone coming along nicely. Standing a little bum high at present. Moderate angulation behind. Tail well set and carried to perfection on the move. Lovely side gait. Steady out and back. Shows great promise to go on to have a great future. BP.

2nd: Groves’ Bridgestone Loch Lomand. Eyectaching dog with beautiful markings. More mature in body and bone than 1st and obviously masculine and very handsome with it! Skull is broad. Would prefer slightly more backskull. Muzzle is nice and broad and deep. Eyes of good shape and set well apart showing no haw. Ears compliment head. Strong neck. Moderate in angulation – not quite as good as 1st. Presenting good width to chest for age. Lovely firm topline. Wide loins. Tail set correct. Pasterns could have slightly more angle. Hocks firm and well let down. Moved in the typical fashion of the breed, but not quite the scope of 1st. Very promising young dog.

Junior (5,2)

1st: Leechs’ Mileoak Sansa Stark. Attractive bitch with a very smart outline indeed. Good width to skull. Muzzle of correct length and breadth to muzzle. Ears rather large. Eyes small and wide set. Dark in colour and showing no haw. Lovely tight lips. Gentle expression. Neck ok for length leading into well laid shoulders. Upper arm returns nicely. Chest is broad and reaches to elbow. Nice that she is not over long in body. Very firm topline with good width to loins for age. Stifles are well bent. Hocks are low to ground. Her topline is level, but she can sometimes stand in such a way that it looks like it is sloping – just watch this. Tail is set on well and she carries it well on the move. Excellent  flowing side gait. Moves a little close behind at times. She went better inside! Another bitch who should do very well with lots to like. BOB

2nd: Groves’ Bridgestone Loch Lomand

3rd: Leech’s Mileoak Cassis

Post Graduate (4,1)

1st: Leechs’ Mileoak Sansa Stark

2nd: Leech’s Mileoak Cassis. This baby went so much better in this class. Lovely markings that you really have to look through! Good strength throughout and I really liked her construction. Beautiful expression. Excellent angulation at the front and well balanced at the rear. Topline lovely and firm. Body proportions ideal. Good bone development. Showed a lovely free side gait here as she had settled. I suspect this one will go on to win very well. Promising.

AV Working

Puppy (11, 8)

1st Groves’ Bridgestone Loch Lomand. Newfoundland. Best AV Working Puppy. Report as above

2nd: Dwyer & Wallaces’ Articrainbow Heat Wave at Thunderspirit. Malamute. Report as above

Junior (6,3)

1st Walkers’ Jacalous Tornado of Argasala. Siberian Husky. Foxy head with nice almond eyes which are obliquely set. Ok for length of neck. Rather more angulated behind than at the front. Chest still to broaden. Topline firm with a slight arch over the loins. Medium to light bone. Tail set and carriage good. Nice foxbrush. Pasterns show a very slight slope and hocks are low to ground. Sound on the move. Res Best AV Working.

2nd: Pearns’ Bonmac Jackanory. A nice dog to go over and presents a nice outline. Moved slightly erratically. Narrowly defeated the Siberian in 3rd, who showed some nice qualities but wasn’t moving to advantage.

3rd: Ellis’ Dreamwolves Moulin Rouge. Siberian Husky.

Post Graduate (7,5)

1st Normans’ Skimarque Grace and Favour. Siberian Husky. Foxy head. Eyes are too prominent and a little round in shape. Good skull to muzzle ratios. High set ears. Nice all through in body with good angulation. Chest is deep with ribs carried well back. Firm topline with arch over the loins. Moves soundly.

2nd: Edmonds’ Rajarani Steffen. A Siberian showing considerable quality. Loved him in most respects. Excellent head with super eyes. Didn’t want to show off his ears. Well angulated. Chest needs to develop and he needs to body up. Moves very well with reach and drive when he gets going.

Open (9,7)

1st: Norman’s Skimarque Anna Pavlova. Siberian Husky. A good quality white bitch. Foxy enough. Eyes are good for shape and set. Didn’t want to show off her ears which looked a little low set. Very nice body with excellent angulation. Strong topline. Enough length through the ribcage. Tail set and carried well. Excellent free lightfooted mover. Best AV Working.

2nd: Dwyers’ & Wallace’s Marahootay Heartland At Thundaspirt. Alaskan Malamute. Rather sharp in features. Lovely almond eyes. Muscular neck. Low on the leg for me. Chest is deep and reached to elbows. High set tail which he carries well on the move. Sound on the move. Well handled.

Working Group.

WG1: Ingrams’ Jojavik Devil’s Ivy. Dobermann. Just gorgeous. Perfection in outline - you just want to keep looking at her. Long head with good depth of muzzle for a bitch but retaining that femininity to her expression. Gorgeous eyes for shape and set. Ears set high and aren’t too big. Lovely long, lean arched neck which leads into super well laid shoulders. Good return and length of upper arm. Forechest can still develop more. Chest reaches to elbows. Square in outline. Super topline with gentle but slight slope from withers to croup. Underline is perfect. Stifles are well bent without being excessive. Well filled croup and ideal tail set and carriage. Superb mover from all angles and handled to show off all her virtues. I just loved her. Quality throughout. What a career she must have ahead!

WG2: Wolfe’s Ch Hawkeye Polarni Usvit. Report as above, but looked even better here. A top class Champion Malamute who sets a high standard for the breed.

WG3: Leechs’ Mileoak Sansa Stark. Newfoundland. Report as above

WG4: Norman’s Skimarque Margarita. Siberian Husky. No exaggerations with this one. Foxy enough in head. Eyes are almond in shape and set obliquely. High, alert ear set. Neck could be longer and shoulder could be angled slightly more for my preference. Upper arm returns nicely. Good depth and width to chest. Ribs carried well back .Medium length to loins. Tends to stand under herself behind – need to stretch her out. Excellent topline with slight arch over the loin. Sound lightfooted mover. Handled to perfection as usual.

Working Puppy Group

WPG1: Hughes’ Dream Come True Wilcza For Siberiadrift. Siberian Husky. Eyes are almond in shape and set obliquely. Slight wedge apparent. Ears a little low set. Neck of moderate length. Well laid shoulders and return of upper arm is good. Nice bone for size. Chest reaches to elbows and ribs are carried well back. Loins firm and not too compact. Lovely topline with slight arch over the loin. Excellent croup and tail set. Lovely turn of stifles. Pasterns show slight slope and hocks are well let down. Lovely foxbrush. Excellent mover, covering the ground with good strides. Very promising young lady. Very pleased to watch her go BPIS. Well done.

WPG2: Forsey’s Muzoku Maleficent Me. Alaskan Malamute. Report as above. Really looked a class act in this group and moved to perfection. Just pipped by the Siberian who had the edge on maturity for me.

WPG3: : Mills & Chatburn’s Zentaur Drop It Like Its Hot For Oialt. Newfoundland. Report as above.

WPG4: Birds’ Cullumbern Milano. Bernese. Report as above.
