Woolwich Bexley & District Canine Association

                                

 

I would like to thank the officers and committee of the society for inviting me to my first judging appointment and extending such a warm welcome. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and the hospitality offered, my steward Elizabeth was most helpful, finally thank you to the exhibitors for their entries and excepting my decisions. 

  

Labrador Retrievers  

    

Puppy (1,0)  

Climpsons Othamcourt Heathcliff, Black Dog; Alone in his class today, at  10 months this boy had lovely free movement carrying a level topline at all times. A strong head with correct eye colour, strong neck into well laid back shoulders, with good bone and sufficient width of chest for age, feet ok, good hard coat - Best Puppy 

 

 Post Grad (3,0) 

Grinhams Frant Edith Durham, Yellow Bitch; Lovely Feminine head with kind expression this 16 month old  showed her suberb clean lines on the move which was effortless showing depth of chest, good spring of rib, well balanced on neat tidy feet and a level topline. Her double coat was correct, short and dense, this finished off the overall picture - a lovely fit for function girl not overdone in any way. Best Of Breed and thrilled to see her take Group 3. 

 

2nd Tickner & Welfords Ankari Bare Necessities, Black Dog; This boy had a broad skull and lovely expression created by good eye colour and shape. He had  good depth of chest, correct bone with a dense coat, well balanced,he had  let down hocks, feet ok, he moved well today.  

   

Open (2,0) 

1st Elliotts Winsleywood Wild Joker Of Lyndham, Black Dog; This oh so masculine dog with his broad head and gentle melting expression kept his handler on her toes today! An excellent example of his breed, he has an excellent coat, good spring of rib, depth of chest showing no coarseness. Correct feet with well arched toes, well developed hindquarters and thick tapering tail which he used to full advantage  he certainly enjoyed his day! Delighted to award him Reserve Best Of Breed.  

2nd Tickner & Welfords Othamcourt Penny Lane To Ankari, Yellow Bitch; Another in the class that was 7 years of age, a  feminine head onto a clean strong neck with good lay of shoulders. Nice depth of chest and well sprung ribs carrying right amount of weight, coat ok, moved well with handler.
