Spire Toy Dog Society Open Show – Sunday 27th October 2019

I would like to thank the committee of Spire Toy Dog Society for inviting me to judge at their show and my stewards Anne Bayliss, Mary Drewitt and Jenna Chinn who did a fantastic job of organising the ring efficiently for me. I had an entry of really good quality exhibits and I would like to thank the exhibitors for bringing their lovely dogs for me to go over.

Breed – CKCS

P: (6,1) 1. Waters & Bryson’s Sweetbriar Soprano. 10 month old Blenheim bitch. Beautifully presented with rich chestnut markings. A lovely puppy with a very pretty feminine head, large round dark eyes, correct earset and the desired soft melting expression. Correct dentition. Good angulation and well balanced. Moved elegantly around the ring with drive holding a level topline at all times and had a lovely silhouette on standing. Very attentive to handler. BP

2. Knight’s Queen of Hearts De Los Ursidos Kodiak at Carolus (Sp Imp). 11 month old Blenheim bitch. Another super puppy, beautifully presented with well broken markings of rich chestnut on a pearly white background. Lovely head with round dark eyes, good pigmentation, correct earset and dentition. Very lively happy temperament. Moved well both ways maintaining her topline.

3. Kilcoyne’s Granasil Bourbon

J: (4,1) 1. Wileman & Bott’s Granasil Trick or Treat for Narvidar. 12 month old Black & Tan dog. Presented in immaculate condition with plenty of silky raven black coat with rich tan markings. Lovely masculine head with well set ears and almost flat skull between. Correct dentition, and round dark eyes which created the desired melting expression. A well balanced dog with good angulation which he used to full effect moving around the ring. RBOB

PG: (5,3) 1. Potter’s Toyswood Oh You Pretty Thing. 15 month old ruby bitch. Beautifully presented with rich red silky coat. Lovely head with good pigment, correct dentition, correct earset and sweet expression. Good neck and topline, and good angulation. Moved with ease around the ring.

2. Lunt’s Oaktreepark Just Magic. 23 month old Blenheim bitch with the desired lozenge. Well broken markings with rich chestnut on a pearly white background. Pretty head with good pigmentation. Correct earset and dentition. Good angulation and moved well.

L: (4,1) 1. Tarabad & Whitman’s Khatibi Amber Lynne JW. 2 year old ruby bitch. Immaculately presented with plenty of rich red silky coat. Lovely head with round dark expressive eyes, well set ears with plenty of feathering, correct scissor bite, good pigmentation and lovely melting expression. A very happy showgirl with a super outgoing temperament. Well balanced and short coupled. Good angulation and she moved gracefully with drive around the ring maintaining a level topline at all times. 2. Colavecchia’s Carolus Miss Liberty. 6 year old Blenheim bitch. Presented in lovely condition with silky well broken coat of rich chestnut on a pearly white background. Very pretty head with well set ears and skull almost flat in between. Good pigmentation, good reach of neck, well laid back shoulders. Lovely size and well balanced. Moved well.

3. Leaver’s Revaelann Serene Glamour

OD: (1) 1. Fox’s Lynmily Mister Blue Sky. 2 year old Blenheim dog with lozenge. Presented in immaculate condition with full coat. Well broken markings with rich chestnut on pearly white background. Handsome masculine head with correct earset, skull almost flat between ears, good pigmentation and correct scissor bite. Good turn of stifle, level topline and moved well.

OB: (6) 1. Tarabad & Whitman’s Denham Over The Moon (Imp). 6 year old Black & Tan bitch. Presented in beautiful silky raven black coat with rich tan markings. Very pretty head with lovely melting expression, round dark eyes, correct scissor bite, enough cushioning, well feathered leathers. Held her topline on the move at all times.

2. Colavecchia’s Carolus Miss Elsie. 22 month old Blenheim bitch. Well broken markings with rich chestnut on a pearly white background, presented in immaculate condition. Lovely head with round dark eyes, good pigmentation and correct earset. Good dentition with correct scissor bite. Lovely size and good angulation. Moved well both ways.

3. Byrne’s Chantismere Chanson D’amour For Eithlynn

O: (1) 1. Toyswood Starlight Express. 22 month old Tricolour bitch. Presented well. Pearly white coat with black patches, tan markings in the correct places and wide white blaze. Well domed skull with low set ears and well defined stop. Black nose with wide open nostrils, square well turned up muzzle and well cushioned cheeks. Large dark eyes and an overall pleasing expression. Compact and cobby with short back. Moved soundly when settled. BOB
