Judging Critique
Border Terrier
Puppy 1
1. Nightingale’s Foxfactor Foxtrot. A very pleasing puppy with lovely well developed head displaying good width of skull and strong muzzle. Nice length of neck, good depth of chest and sufficient spring of rib. Good length of back and quality bone. Moved soundly both coming and going.
Post Graduate 4, 1 abs.
1. Nightingale’s Oakyard Orchestrated. Res BOB & Best Puppy. Best outline and front in the class with excellent front angulation. Sufficient length and strength of neck. Nice skull and muzzle shape and pleasing expression. Good depth of chest, length of ribcage and width of upper and lower thigh. Good coat texture. Moved soundly fore and aft.
2. Read’s Miltonbury Sunrise At Roxambor. Nicely developed and well proportioned head with expressive dark eye and good earset. Good topline and depth of chest. Moved soundly.
3. Small’s Howthwaite Gentil Duke At Tilmoray.
Open 2
1. Read’s Roxambor Magical Timepiece ShCM. BOB. Well developed throughout and shown in excellent muscular condition. Masculine head with pleasing dark eye and keen expression. Good body length; quality bone; good width of upper and lower thigh. Tail thick at the root. Moved well on neat feet. Good coat texture.
2. Howthwaite Gentil Duke At Tilmoray. Pleasing type with lovely head and expression. Just not quite the substance of my winner. Good depth of chest and topline; nice ribcage with ribs going well back. Nice coat texture. Moved well both coming and going.

1. Warner’s Talanors Time For Fun. BOB. Very pleasing outline. Lovely head of good length with pleasing expression. Nice length of neck. Good depth of chest; excellent width of upper and lower thigh. Nice bone; sufficient width infront and good spring of rib.Good topline held well on the move. Shown in excellent muscular condition and displaying lovely temperament.
2. Straughan & Cripps’ Talanor Time To Shine At Mannikai. Res. BOB. Similar comments apply as to my winner and have now discovered that they are siblings. Good length of head with nice eye and expression. Nicely developed forechest and good depth of chest. Moved well on good feet.
3. Davies & Brown’s Digelsa Dark Indulgence At Wystry.

Junior 1
1. Parker & McDonald’s Silversocks Shot In The Dark With Violis. Res BOB & Best Puppy. Pleased to see him win Puppy Group 3. Overall displaying a square outline. Pleasing length of head and nice high earset. Good eye and expression. Sufficient length of neck; nice spring of rib with ribcage of good length going back to short, strong loin. Good depth of chest; well let down hocks and nicely angulated hindquarters. Moved soundly fore and aft, with drive.
Post Graduate 1
1. Parker & McDonald’s Jokerland’s Honey Pot For Violis. BOB. Lovely outline and shown in coat of harsh texture with dense undercoat. Feminine head of good length with pleasing eye and good earset. Excellent length and strength of neck. Good depth of chest and well developed forechest. Nice spring of rib and good rear angulation. Moved soundly with good reach and drive, holding topline well on the move.

Junior 1
1. Maiden’s Maidluns Amazing Grace. BOB. Very nicely matured for age. Good length of head, nice eye shape and expression and good earset. Pleasing length and strength of neck; good depth of chest and spring of rib with ribcage leading to short, strong loin. Nicely let down hocks, good tailset and rounded feet. Moved soundly and briskly. Shown in excellent muscular condition with coat of nice texture with dense undercoat.

1. Miccosukees Guess Who At Jalero. Res. BOB. Very nicely developed and won on overall square outline and coat texture. Pleasing, well developed head with good furnishings and nice eye. Good strength and length of neck. Excellent depth of chest and spring of rib. Strong, short loin and well let down hocks. Moved soundly but not as animated as my best of breed in the challenge.
2. Nicke’s Ksena Prisirismo Jausmas (IMP LTU). Different type to my winner being taller, longer and with. narrower head. Nice eye and expression and good open nose. Nice depth of chest and good topline. Good width of upper and lower thigh and shown in good muscular condition but coat a little soft. Moved well.
Shih Tzu
Puppy 3
1. Matthews’ Matsha Jambalaya. Best Puppy. Pleased to see him win Puppy Group 2. Nicely developed for age and shown in lovely coat and condition. Good width of head with rounded skull, round eye shape but not too prominent. Good level topline; nice angulation fore and aft and good bone. Moved soundly both infront and behind.
2. Scott’s Honeyshuchun Star Goddess. Similar comment apply as to my winner. Very feminine head. Nicely made throughout with good substance for age. Nice eye shape and expression. Moved well both coming and going displaying good high tailset. Lovely coat and condition.
3. Moore’s Ashmakin Red Is The Rose At Jaxtzu (IKC)
Junior 4
1. Maule’s Daltricia Jamie Lee. Well developed for age with beautiful, typical outline. Masculine head with good rounded skull,shape and large, open nose. Well angulated throughout with pleasing forechest and depth of chest. Strong, level topline and nice tailset. Shown in lovely coat of good texture. Moved soundly with drive.
2. Wollerton & Willett’s Debeaux Sweet Chilli. Another nice one but not yet quite the substance of my winner but has time. Good outline with lovely feminine head, eye and expression; open nose. Good spring of rib goinv well back. High tailset, held well on the move. Coat of pleasing texture.
3. Steel’s Jadoremy Red Bounty Sniper For Juhua.
Post-Graduate 1
1. Jadoremy Red Bounty Sniper For Juhua. Well balanced outline. Nice round eye shape and pleasing expression. Nicely rounded skull shape and open nose. Good length of back and well angulated fore and aft. Coat of good texture. Moved a little erratically but ok when settled but not holding topline very well on the move.
Open 4, 1 abs.
1. Yeomans’ Kezang Golden Idol. BOB. Won on overall outline and substance. Lovely masculine head with sufficiently rounded skull and open nose. Good angulation throughout, nicely developed forechest; ribs going well back. Level topline and nice tailset. Moved soundly with drive showing rear pads on the move. Coat of good texture and thickness.
2. Gilkes’ Ch Zeeva Reflection JW. Res BOB. Close up to my winner. Very feminine with lovely eye and expression. Good angulation fore and aft with nice topline and tailset. Good coat texture. Moved well with lovely head and tail carriage.
3. Steel’s Blr Ch Imari Juhua By Glamour (IMP BLR)

Junior 2
1. Dickson’s Glenchess Laineen Liplatus To Bernavia. Res BOB. Nicely developed for age with nice outline and good thick coat. Well shaped head with muzzle shorter than length of skull and large open nose. Nice eye and expression and good earset. Moderate stop and rounded skull. Good angulation fore and aft. Nice depth of chest and sufficient spring of rib with ribcage leading to strong loin. Good bone throughout and moved well.
2. Smith’s Rajarani Christmas Rose. Smaller model with sweet head and expression. Well made throughout with good angulation fore and aft. Nice tailset and carriage of tail. Moved soundly when settled. Just needs to mature but has time.

1. Dickson’s Glenchess Georgette To Bernavia. BOB. Typical outline. Lovely head with oval eye and pleasing expression; open nose. Nice ear shape with ears set well apart. Good angulation fore and aft; well developed ribcage and strong, straight topline. Excellent thick coat of good texture with dense undercoat. Moved well with nice tail carriage on good oval feet.
