Woolwich Bexley & District Canine Association

Retriever - Nova Scotia Duck Tolling:

A big thank you to the committee of Woolwich, Bexley and District Canine Society for inviting me to judge this simply wonderful breed. A lovely, well run show and an extra special thank you to my steward for doing such a great job and helping me in the ring. I extend a thank you to everyone who entered under me, a quality entry where my exhibitors all braved the cold and congratulated each other in true sportsman spirit.

P (3,1)1 Tollelkin Caife Americano: This eye catching young man of just 6 months presented beautifully and is of strong quality and type all over. A stunning wedge-shaped head, strong neck into well placed shoulders with tight round feet, and a level topline. He excelled on the move for one so young, and covered the ground with the utmost of ease. I have no doubt he has a promising future ahead of him. BP. 2. Strevens’s Tollelkin Caife Gaelach at Tollisty: Litter sister of 1. A sweet, feminine bitch who is still very raw and needs time to develop. Very happy baby who made her handler work hard today. Spirited on the move and a little erratic at times, but when she had settled she showed flashes of jaunty movement and plenty of promise once she has had a little more time.

PG (3) 1. Nevers’s Tivalake Easy to Love: 2 year old beautiful bitch, compact and perfectly put together. Her head is oh so feminine with a gentle and intelligent expression. Strong neck, deep chest, and well-muscled hindquarters. Tight round feet and she moved effortlessly with jaunty movement and displayed that extra showmanship that made her stand out. A well-deserved RBOB. 2. Elkin’s Tollelkin Caife Americano 3. Strevens’s Tollelkin Caife Gaelach at Tollisty

O (3) 1. Strevens’s Sh Ch Erikachen Conaire At Tollisty JW ShCM ShCEx: A simply stunning 5 year old male who screams type through and through. Presented himself with everything I look for in this breed. Quality and balance throughout this boy, with a perfectly wedged shape skull and alert expression. Good depth of chest, and well-muscled throughout. Moved with class with powerful forward reach and rear drive A superbly stylish showman who I was pleased to award Best of Breed honours to. 2. Tollelkin Water Dancer: I very much liked this 4 year old pretty bitch who was a little out of coat today. Correct shape skull with almond shaped eyes and an honest, kindly expression. Well put together, showed a strong topline and moved with purpose. She pushed hard for RBOB but I felt she didn’t have quite have the ring presence of my RBOB winner today.
