1. Jones’ Tyberg Kaiser Chief.

This 7 year old upstanding brindle male has the required square build and has strong bone throughout He has a masculine head of good proportions. Well angled front and rear and shown in hard muscular condition, which enabled him to power around the ring showing good reach and drive. A credit to his owner and was delighted to award him BOB and Working Group 3.

2. Marina’s Marinbox Murder in Three Acts.

A very promising 7 month old baby, who is well balanced for such a young man. He has a super square outline and is well off for bone throughout. His head needs time, but is developing well. He is well angulated front and rear. His movement was, as one would expect at this age, but he did push the winner very hard for top honours. I will watch his progress with interest. BP and Working Puppy Group 3.

BULLMASTIFF

Graduate (5, 1 abs)

Once again, I was delighted with the quality throughout of this lovely breed and congratulations to the owners for showing their dogs in such great muscular condition.

1. Abbott’s Alonzobar Blac Chyna JW.

This 17 month old female is such a great example of this breed. She just exudes power and strength and is so well balanced throughout. Her head is delightful, with a broad skull and muzzle with good eyes and ear placement. She has good layback of shoulder and has strong bone with lovely straight front legs, strong pasterns and cat-like feet. She has great width of chest and body and excellent spring of rib. She has a super firm topline. She is well angulated in the rear with excellent bend of stifle and such well defined 1st and 2nd thighs, which are so well muscled. She moves so well in all directions with reach and drive. I was delighted to award her BOB and she pushed so hard for top honours in the very strong Working Group, but today had to give way to the Newfie, but was pleased to award her Working Group 2. Well done.

2. Lyne’s & McGroaty’s Ardhub Tittle Tattle at Melinllynnon.

This 13 month old female is maturing nicely. I particularly like her outline and her head has really developed, having strength and width throughout. She has a strong deep chest, good ribs and strong loin. She has a good lay of shoulder and well off for bone and super straight front legs. She is well muscled throughout. She now just needs to let down a little behind for complete balance. She moved well in all directions.

NEWFOUNDLAND

Graduate (1)

1. Hughes’ Bridgestone Kings North for Bodrhonyn

Quality, rather than quantity today as the show clashed with a breed club show, however, I was not at all disappointed with this fabulous example of the breed. This 15 month old white and black is impressive throughout and is maturing so well. He presents a well balanced picture. He has a super masculine head with good width of skull, strong muzzle and the darkest of eyes, which give him such a kind expression. He has super straight front legs and good feet. He has width to chest and body and lovely level topline. He has balanced front and rear angulation. He was shown in super condition with great muscle throughout. Having seen this youngster from ringside previously, he does not always have his focus completely on what he is doing when he is moving. However, today he pulled out all the stops and moved so very well with power, reach and drive. I was delighted to award him BOB and he continued with this great performance in the Working Group and I was delighted to award him Group 1 in very strong competition. Well deserved and many congratulations.

BERNESE MOUNTAIN DOG

Graduate (2, 1 abs)

1. Fairclough’s Monalou Galloping Gourmet

There is nothing I would want to change at this time on this very exciting 7 month old young man. He is very puppyish, which he should be, but is so well balanced for his age. He has fabulous bone throughout and has lovely straight front legs with the best of feet. He is well angulated front and rear. He already has a lovely strong head with strength of skull and muzzle and a well defined stop. He has the darkest of eyes and a super expression. He was shown in great condition and is already a very sensible, confident showman. He moved so soundly and steadily in all directions. I was delighted to award him BP and he pipped his quality kennel mate for BOB. I was pleased to then award him Adult Working Group 4 and Working Puppy Group 1. Many congratulations and I shall watch his progress with interest as I am sure he has a bright future ahead of him.

Open (2)

1. Fairclough’s Monalou Spirit of Discovery ShCM

I was interested to learn that the puppy is the same way bred as this super example of the breed. He has great strength throughout and excels in head and expression. He has super straight bone in front and fabulous compact feet. He has good width to chest and has balanced front and rear angulation. He moved soundly in all directions, but just looked a bit “heavy” today and did not have the outline of the puppy, so had to give way to youth today.

2. Perk’s Kernow Festival Buzz ShCM

This is such a very honest dog with lots of good breed points. He is well off for bone throughout and has good width and depth to chest. He has a very pleasing head with super eyes and expression. He is moderately angulated front and rear. Just looked a little short in neck today. He moves soundly in all directions and presented and handled well.
