GREAT DANE

Post-Graduate 7 (5 abs)

1. Holland’s Axeford Arizona of Dramalex

I really liked this promising 14 month old fawn bitch. She has a pleasing, well proportioned head, good eye. She is well balanced with moderate front and rear angulation. Good straight bone, just would prefer tighter feet. She moved well in all directions.

2. McCulloch’s Allours Draco at Kindalladane

A tall upstanding 18 month old fawn boy, who was shown in great muscular condition. Sadly not concentrating today and gave his handler a hard time. He moved OK, but one that definitely would benefit from a bigger ring.

Open 8 (3 abs)

1. Young, Cunningham, Gilbert & Robertson’s Ch. Gretadane I’m In Bother with Illuvadane JW ShCM. This upstanding male fawn impressed me as soon as he entered the ring and did not disappoint when I went over him. He was shown in hard muscular condition and certainly has the required strength throughout, but not at all coarse. His head is well proportioned and has excellent eyes with a great expression. He has lovely straight front legs with great bone and has the most wonderful tight feet, truly cat-like. He is well balanced front and rear and his movement reflects his construction. He moved with reach and drive even in the relatively small ring. I was pleased to award him Best of Breed and then put in a faultless performance in the Group and was delighted to award him Group 1 in strong competition. Well done. He represented the Group very well in the challenge for Best in Show.

2. Burns, McGuiness & Nelson McGuiness’s Dinahatron Rags to Riches.

I really liked this young fawn bitch, who was very close up to the winner. She presents a very well-balanced picture and has the most delightful head and expression. Great neck and width of chest. She was very impressive on the move and I am sure she must have a very bright future.

3. McGill’s Clannalba Eile Braigh Mharr for Karnduke

4. Holland’s Socar Nosey Parker at Dramalex

BULLMASTIFF

Open 3 (1 abs)

1. Taylor’s Cairnmount Gabriella at Karismar

This young bitch has a strong, but feminine head with good width to skull. She has strength throughout with a broad deep chest and good bone throughout. She is moderately angled front and rear and has a strong short back and held her topline well when stood and on the move. She moved soundly in all directions. Pleased to award her Best of Breed.

2. Taggart’s Tarbhore Limited Edition

This mature male is certainly powerfully built throughout with great strength of head, although would prefer less wrinkle. He has a broad deep chest and is well angulated front and rear. He moved well in front, but a little untidy behind today.

NEWFOUNDLAND

Open 2 (1 abs)

1. Duff’s King of Helluland My Queen at Titanbears JW, ShCM, ShCEx

This young female was shown in fantastic condition and has a lot of good breed qualities. She has a feminine head and good eyes with a delightful expression. She has good width to chest and back and well angled front and rear. I would just prefer a little more leg length to give a more balanced outline. She moves well in all directions and was very deserving of her Best of Breed and Working Group 4 in strong competition. Well done.

ROTTWEILER

Post-Graduate 4 (1 abs)

1. Nicol & Rushforth’s Jacraila Viking Warrior

When you judge, you are always hoping for one of those WOW moments and I had certainly had this with this 8 month old male puppy. My notes say “stunning” and he sure is and what a very bright future this young man must surely have! He just screams breed type and has the strength and power I associate with this breed. He has the most wonderful head and expression and a delightful temperament. He is so well balanced throughout and moved around the ring with great reach and drive. There is absolutely nothing I would change at this stage and I was pleased to award him Best Puppy, Best of Breed, Adult Working Group 2 and Working Puppy Group 1. He continued to impress and I was delighted to see him awarded Best Puppy in Show. Many congratulations to his owners and I will follow his progress with great interest. Well done.

2. Shepherd’s Upmont Jazzy Jazz

This is a very pleasing bitch who has many good qualities. She scores highly in her head properties and has a super expression. She is well proportioned and moderately angled front and rear. Moved well in all directions.

3. Wilson’s Seittor Highland Fantasy with Inveralicia

2. Todd’s Holyhell’s Hary’s Boy for Toffarbach (imp Serbia)

1. Todd’s Holyhell’s Serbian Night Fever at Toffarbach JW (imp Serbia)

This fabulous young male caught my eye when he entered the ring and did not disappoint. He is the required size and well balanced throughout, with no exaggeration whatsoever. He has a delightful head with everything in proportion with an alert expression. He is well angulated front and rear and shown in hard muscular condition. He came into his own on the move and had great reach and drive. I was pleased to award him Best of Breed and Working Group 3 in very strong competition. Well done.

2. Henderson’s Priscilla De Voss

3rd in previous class. Moderate throughout and presents a well-balanced outline, when the handler does not overstretch him on the stand. He has a pleasing head and expression. In good muscular condition and moved well in all directions.

3. Robson’s Barron William De Porcha.

This is a very promising puppy, who I think was probably at his and his handler’s first show today. He has many good qualities and has a well-proportioned head. He is very well balanced and has well laid-back shoulders and moderate rear angulation. When he settled, he showed he could move extremely well. His owner needs to relax and practice to get the best from this lovely puppy and I am sure they will have great fun in the future. Best Puppy in Breed and Puppy Group 2.

4. Cairn’s Lamarg Espresso

1. Nicol’s Kontaktas Scooter to Jacraila ShCM

This is a very impressive upstanding mature Russian Black Terrier, who has great ring presence. He has the typical square outline and is well balanced. An 11 month old Bernese Mountain Dog who has a lot of good breed points and scored highly in his head properties and expression. Has great bone throughout and has moderate front and rear angulation. 2. Caldwell’s Ylanris Paloma

I actually preferred the head and darker eye on this one month younger bitch puppy, but currently she is a little narrow throughout and does need to strengthen front and rear, but she has time on her side. She certainly needs a bigger ring to get into her stride.
