THE ROYAL CHESHIRE COUNTY SHOW 19.6.2019 

A big thank you to the committee for the invitation to Judge at this super show. A new one for me, and we were quite lucky with weather even though it was very muddy in the carparks, our ring was in pretty good order. My job was made easier with the help of two good stewards Roger and Collette. 

SIBERIAN HUSKY  

Puppy D/B (1,0) 

1st. Morris’ CWNHAPUS INNOKO. This 8mth old boy took my eye as soon as he entered the ring. Standing shows a super balance, slightly longer than tall sporting a dense coat in lovely condition. Head of good width nicely chiselled, moderate stop and almond eye set obliquely. Neat ears well furred & set high. Clean mouth with good pigmentation. Med neck set on to well-laid shoulders. Good depth of chest for age and straight in front, elbows well tucked into a well sprung rib. Sloping croup and tail set and carried correctly. Rear well angulated and well-muscled. Level top line held throughout movement which and both reach and drive. Super dog to go over. BPIB & BOB. 

Junior D/B (1,0) 

1st . Morris’ ARTICSKIES RUBY TUESDAY FOR CWNHAPAS. 16mth old bitch, very feminine head well chiselled. Lovely eye, ears of good shape, well set and used.  Clean bite & good pigment. Shoulders well laid, neat elbows and good depth to chest. Good front of moderate bone and tidy feet. Well sprung rib, level topline. Well-muscled behind. Tail set nicely. Moved cleanly and free. Pity about her coat. RBOB.

Open D/B (1,0) 

1st . Winter & Unwin’s NASHANESSEN’S DIRTY HARRY AT SNOWTREKKA JW ShCM. 9 yr old dog slightly longer cast, holding a good top line for age. Head of good proportions, good bite and pigmentation. Nice dark eye. Ears set well & used. Straight front with tight feet. Good body. I would prefer a little more muscle tone. Moved well.

4 classes scheduled, 2 entries, both absent. Sadly, due to weather conditions and being a midweek show, but I was disappointed. 

BULLMASTIFF 

Puppy D/B (7,1) 

1st. Myers & Morgan’s OPTIMUS DANZY JONES (AI). This 10mth old boy is one to watch for the future. A super square head, broad with a good stop. Good strong jaw, muzzle broad and large open nostrils completes the square appearance. Good in eye, set wide apart and ears set high completing the picture. Strong neck on to broad well laid shoulders. Chest nicely developed for age of good width and depth. Front straight and of good bone. Body well covered and strong broad loin. Hind quarters well- muscled with good angulation. Moved well with purpose. BPIB. 

2nd.Bratchie & Baillie’s ESSENCEERA TURN THE MAGIC ON. 9mt old male, Good head shape, dark eye. Strong and square in jaw, ears set well. Good width to withers. Straight front legs with good bone, nice feet. Good angulation in rear. Slightly longer cast than 1st. 

Junior D/B (4,1) 

1st. Latters STONEGLAD DAKOTA. 1yr old brindle boy. A good head filling out nicely, eyes broadly set apart, sufficient stop, ears neat & well set. Straight front down to tight feet. Good strong body well-muscled. Moved well. RBOB 

2nd. Lynes & McGroarty’s ARDHUB TITTLE TATTEL AT MELINLLYNNON. 17mth brindle girl, nice shaped head, feminine, square in appearance, good mouth, slightly shorter in muzzle. Tidy ears well set. Front straight with good neat feet. Nicely boned strong short coupled body. Moved well. 

Post Grad D/B (4,1) 

1st. Humphries & Lowtons’s STONEGLAD IM THAT CHICK AT LUMILLION. 2 ½ yr old bitch. Slightly narrower in head with dark eye. Good stop and length of muzzle. Mouth good and jaw line square. Nice Shoulder, straight front and tight feet. Well bodied with short level back. Moved ok. 

2nd. Baldwin’s ALONZOBAR PENNY LANE FOR NIGHTSTORM. This bitch not yet 2yrs. A strong head, very short and square with good dark eye. Definite stop and small high set ears. Slightly short in neck, shoulders good. Broad deep chest and straight front of good bone. Short strong back. Well angulated in rear. Moved ok. 

Open D/B (4,0) 

1st. Myers & Morgan’s OPTIMUS JACK DANIELS. (AI). 2 ½ yr old masculine male. Classic head. Dark eyes set wide on broad square skull. Head well proportioned. Defined stop, cheeks well filled, muzzle broad and clean mouth with strong square jaw line. Ears set high and wide. Broad neck set onto well-muscled shoulders and a good depth of chest. Strong boned, straight front, tight feet. Body well covered, back short and strong. Well-muscled rear end. Tail set high and carried correctly. Moved straight coming and going. Owned the ring. Pleased to award him BOB. 

2nd. Furber’s STONEGLAD STOLE THE SHOW WITH CARMINWAY. This nice bitch has a square, nicely balanced feminine head with dark eyes and neat ears, well set. Correct blunt muzzle with clean mouth. Elegant neck, good chest and straight front and cat like feet. Nicely balanced body of good substance. Strong level top line, good muscle tone. Moved well.
