St Agnes Canine Association 6th April 2019 

I would like to thank the officers and committee for inviting me to judge, the hospitality was second to none, thank you and finally to my steward who kept the ring going with humour. 

Welsh Springer 

PG – 2 

1. Mercer – Amblelight Cassiopeia – 23-month-old male with good bone and substance, well balanced throughout, nice head and eye, good front properties, good rib, well back and sprung, decent stifle, moved steady. 

2. McLlwaine & Reynolds – Benoveor Can’t Buy Me Love – bitch just over 12 months old and giving away a lot in this class, however beautifully presented, balanced girl with good angulation fore and aft, lovely head and eye, good over croup, moved steady. 

Open – 3 (1a) 

1. McLlwaine & Reynolds – Glenbrows Van Gogh For Benoveor JW – Striking male presented in excellent condition, good muscle tone, very sound on the move with great extension on the rear and great reach on the front. Beautiful head with dark eye and lovely brow, excellent front properties with the correct lay and return of upper arm, good rib which had good depth through to strong loin and hindquarters. Good bend to the stifle, moved with drive off lovely tight feet. A dog you didn’t need to put your hands on to appreciate his make and shape BOB and G1. 

2. Attwood – Ir Sh Ch Kylowen Drym ShCM – Another lovely male with a lovely head and gentle expression, good front properties, good rib, excellent bend to stifle, moved steady but would have preferred him a bit better over the croup. 

English Springer 

Grad – 3 (2a) 

1. White – Peasblossom Xenon – lovely 6-month-old baby, loved his overall balance and shape and the best of feet! Lovely head and eye with raised brow, good angulation fore and aft. Good rib and depth to chest, moved steady and true for his age BOB, BP & PG3 

Flatcoat Retriever 

Grad – 3 (2a) 

1. Hayman – Tikkidui Showmans Dream – 22-month-old male, nice dark eye, decent angulation fore and aft, good depth to chest, would prefer him better over the croup, good topline, moved ok. 

Open – 2 

1. Kidd – Draketor Sea Sprite at Tregreenwell – Nice bitch who was nicely balanced, good head planes, good front and topline, good in rib, nice bend to stifle, short rear pasterns, moved ok. 

2. Hayman – Lussac Thorin - Taller on the leg than my winner, nice head, good shoulders into decent topline, elbows well in, good depth in rib, however a bit erratic on the move today. 

Retriever Labrador 

Grad – 1 

1. Philpott – Rossacre Spangles – Beautiful 18-month-old bitch, full of quality and substance, melting expression, good front with good sternum, well ribbed and good depth to chest, string over the loin, excellent quarters, moved well. 

Limit – 5 (2a) 

1. Jeffery – Lembas Swings Both Ways at Mibridge - Lovely male, well boned, skull broad with good stop, good angulation fore and aft, deep chested and well ribbed, good over his quarters, moved well. 

2. Hicks – Jubiwell Good as Gold – Lovely bitch, very pretty in head, good overall angulation, deep chest and well ribbed, good over her quarters, just lacked a little in drive today. 

3. Morris – Lapema Mightnight Sun 

Open – 2 

1. Philpott – Rossacre Keno - Lovey boy, very balanced in outline, lovely head and eye with broad skull and good stop, good front properties leading to good layback of shoulder, good width to chest, excellent in rib, good topline, strong quarters, moved well off tight feet BOB 

2. Jeffery – Carohall Day Dreamer at Mibridge – Another lovely male full of substance, good front leading into good rib and depth of chest, a shade longer in couplings than my winner, good stifle, moved ok. 

Retriever Golden 

Junior – 6 (1a) 

1. Fenn – Chalksville Highlander at Jandeburn – 8-month-old dog who just took my eye for his overall balance. So well proportioned for his age and built on flowing lines. Melting expression with lovely dark eye, strong neck leading into excellent front properties with the correct lay and return of upper arm which enabled his great reach in front, great rib and depth, strong in quarters and good bend to stifle, lovely short rear pasterns which he used to drive off his backend with, moved with drive and was true both ways and held his topline. Topped off with a glorious golden coat, turned out in excellent order BOB, BP, G3, PG1 & RBPIS – Well done, just loved him. 

2. Hewitson – Seruilia Splash of Class – 17-month-old bitch, very substantial with good bone and depth throughout. Good angulation fore and aft, good rib, strong over the quarters, good over the loin and croup, in lovely coat and condition, moved well. 

3. McCammick – Creekside Hand In Hand 

Grad – 2 

1. Hewitson – Seruilia Splash of Class 

2. Bond – Trebell Trolly Dolly – Lovely bitch, built on lighter lines than my winner, lovely head and expression, excellent front, good depth to chest, good in stifle, good over the croup, moved steady but a little close behind. 

P. Grad – 4 (1a) 

1. Hewitson – Seruilia Spalsh of Class 

2. Leeming – Kadaka Kameo at Iscadu – nice bitch, dark eye with lovely raised brow, good angulations fore and aft, good rib, well back and good depth to chest, good in topline and correct over the croup, would prefer more width to the second thigh, moved steady. 

3. Mace – Steval Choir Master at Telanjan 

Open Dog – 2 (1a) 

1. Mace – Harry The Magician at Telanjan – 6-year-old male, lovely golden colour to the coat, nice shape throughout, nice head and eye, good neck into good front properties, good chest and rib, strong over the loin, stood on tight feet, moved steady. 

Open Bitch – 3 

1. Main – Gwyngala Going for Gold – lovely 7-year-old bitch in good coat and condition, nice lines and flowed throughout, good angulations fore and aft good in topline, strong over the quarters, good width to second thigh, tight feet, moved well. 

2. Hewitson – Seruilia Spalsh of Class 

3. Sandbach – Trebell The Lavendar Lady at Goldsand 

Curly Coat Retriever  

Open – 2 (1a) 

1. Edworthy – Maycourt Cadillac – 2and half year old male built on substantial lines, nice head planes and in proportion to the body, arched neck leading into good shoulders, great depth of chest, strong quarters, moderate turn of stifle, moved ok. 

Spaniel Cocker 

Grad – 3 

1. Smith – Meakwood East N Rose – lovely bitch in shape, beautiful head and eye, clean over shoulders, good front angulation, good depth to the chest leading to strong quarters and good stifle, moved well off tight feet. 

2. Miller – Eddeswarren Temptress – 8-month-old bitch giving away a lot in age but what a lovely puppy, beautiful head and expression with good muzzle and stop, good front properties, held her topline on the move, compact with a good depth of chest, moved steady for her age, turned out in good order BP & PG2 

3. Parkhouse – Shivani Summer Breeze 

Open – 4 (1a) 

1. Pearn – Fonesse Fingibson in Gwbert JW ShCM – Lovely boy, short coupled and compact, solid throughout, lovely and eye with low set ears, good sternum and front angulation, great rib, strong quarters, tailset spot on, stood on lovely tight feet, moved well and turned out in great condition BOB & G4 

2. Parkhouse – Sandlauga Magic Spell for Shivani – very close up to my winner and similar remarks apply, just preferred the head on my winner, turned out in great condition, great angulation fore and aft, good depth to chest, good topline and rib, moved well.

Open – 2 (1a) 

1. Mortimer – Scodinzolare Perlescenti – 22-month-old bitch, beautiful head and eye, strong neck leading into good shoulders, good lay and return of upper arm, chest broad and deep, good topline leading to a well-muscled loin, moved steady. 

Pointer 

Grad – 4 (1a) 

1. Osman – Fleurfield Fire Thorne at Marissolo – lovely head with plenty of stop, strong muscular neck leading into good shoulders, good lay and return of upper arm, good in topline, strong quarters, moved steady BOB 

2. Phillips – Waterton Remember Me – 18-month-old bitch, lovely in outline, good head and eye, strong neck into good shoulders, deep in chest and ribs well back, good quarters, moved ok. 

3. Dykes – Fleurfield Magic Flute at Briartor 

Open – 2 (1a) 

1. Phillips – Walanpay Artemis Huntress – 6-year-old bitch, lovely in outline and balanced, good angulations fore and aft, strong neck into good topline, good depth of chest, strong quarters, moved well off tight feet, albeit a bit nervy. 

AV Gundog 

Puppy – 5 (3a) 

1. McCammick – Creekside Hand in Hand - Retriever Golden – 3rd in breed class, nice head and expression, strong neck into good shoulders, good rib, decent bend to stifle, strong over quarters, moved ok. 

2. Chappell – Creekside Royal Nuptials – Retriever Golden – 5th in breed class, dog built on substantial lines, nice head, strong neck into decent front, good rib, moved ok. 

AVNSC Open – 5 

1. Napier – Josalin Palba Leonara – Sp Water Dog – lovely bitch who took my eye, so balanced throughout standing on well boned legs and tight feet.  Great angulation in front and rear which enabled good reach and drive, good in rib and depth, strong over the loin, good width to second thigh, carried herself lovely and she moved soundly and true, in great coat and condition G2 

2. Sweet – Bondadosa Beach ShCM – Sp Water Dog - close up to my winner, lovely head and expression, another who stood square and true, good depth to chest, good over the quarters, great front angulation, moved steady and true. 

3. Palfrey – Foxdown Bertie Allsorts ShCM – NSDT Ret 

AV Gundog Veteran – 12 (5a) 

1. Jefferies – Antonine Paige Turner of Jubilwell – Lab – 7and half year old bitch, beautiful in outline, so strong and full of substance, good front properties, good topline, deep chest and well ribbed back, good over the croup, stood on lovely tight feet, moved well. 

2. Palfrey – Flushpoint What A Accident for Melanitta – NSDT Ret – beautiful 9-year-old bitch, lovely expression with quizzical brow, excellent lay and return of upper arm, good rib and topline, good over the croup, moved steady and true. 

3. Napier – Josalin Juananci – Sp Water Dog
