Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Canine Society

To open with I’d like to extend my appreciation and gratitude to the Gateshead Canine Society for the invitation to judge my Breed of Staffordshire Bull Terriers at their Open show .

To my Ring Steward for the smooth ring management , and lastly , but by no means least , to the Exhibitors who entered and brought their dogs to be assessed by me and for accepting my decisions in all the classes , and everyone still took home with them their own best dog .

Critique E-mailed to OUR DOGS on 29th March 2019.

JUNIOR  :  (3/3)

1.     Hall’s LEGENDSTAFF SWEET LADY CUM GEORDIESTAFF ( IMP ESP )

Black/Brindle bitch , Just out of her Puppy show career , presented in hard and fit condition, lovely head with a keen expression to set her off , distinct stop ,  good width of chest and spring of ribs , maintained a level topline on the move , everything developing nicely for her age  .

Happy to award her BoB and later went on to TG3 .

2.    Manghan’s DIAMONDSTAFF WEE MAC

Black/Brindle dog with white chest.  Again another youngster , with more developing to do I’m sure as he matures.

Good head shape and nice dark eyes , good muscled body shape , again another good mover .

Just preferred the overall ‘ presence ’ of my 1st choice.

3.    Lee’s SAMROSS WILDEST DREAMS

POST GRADUATE  :  (3/3)

1.     Manghan’s DIAMONDSTAFF WEE MAC

2.    Hind’s MOURESTAFFS TALARIS

Black/Brindle bitch.   Good head shape and broad skull , with darkest of eyes , overall body shape was good with level topline .  Good shape on the move .

3.    Hall’s GEORDIESTAFF LUV BOBBIEDOG

OPEN  :  (5/5)

1.     Crosby’s QUATROS RED ARCHIBALD

Red dog with white chest. Though now 7 years , still in great condition , and a credit to his owners,

Dog that I have seen many times over the years in the showring but first time that I’ve had the opportunity to assess him. Lovely clean head shape with dark eyes and is really a very well balanced dog .

Not overdone in anyway , good topline and moved well up and down .

Happy to award him 1st in this class over a good younger dog who was 1st in the Post Graduate class.

And was delighted for the dog and owners when I later learned that not only did he go Best Veteran Terrier under Patrick McGlynn , he then went on to win Best Veteran In Show , so a great day out for them .

2.    Manghan’s DIAMONDSTAFF WEE MAC .

3.    Hall’s GEORDIESTAFF CANNY LADDIE
