LABRADORS. PUPPY (4,1) 1. Keating’s Whistletyne Quintessence, Black 11m bitch, appealing head and eye, good shape & size, well laid back shoulders. Level topline and correct tailset, moved true front and behind BP. 2. Parkinson’s Burnthorn Morning Glory, 7m, baby yellow bitch, giving away on maturity and looser all through but lovely type, well bodied with good tailset and in good condition. Two lovely pups. 3. Lintern’s Northernjoy Forget Me Not. JUNIOR (1) 1. N Forget Me Not, from previous class, immature black b of overall finer build and type who needs time. POST GRAD (4) 1. Roberts’ Bronia Yokanga Gold, 21m yellow b. Really appealed for type and shape, lovely head with darker pigment than 2. Good, straight bone and topline, moved out well. Tough choice between her and the open winner. BOB. 2. Parkinson’s Burnthorn Barleytwist, close up, quality yellow b not quite as mature in head. Again, good topline, bone and body. Moving not quite so true behind today. 3. Parkinson’s Burnthorn Box Office. OPEN (4,2) 1. Roberts’ Stormrose Golden Fortune JW ShCM, another quality dog from this owner. Masculine headed, mature veteran d. Good bone, body and topline with good tailset and proportions. Moved really well both ways. This upstanding d was expertly presented by his young handler. Well done. Close up for BOB. 2. Lintern’s Whistletyne Black Pearl of Northernjoy. 4th in previous class, finer type black b not moving so well behind today. POINTERS. GRAD (1) 1. Mason’s Morgan Van Freebreeze NAF (IMP NL). o/w 7m high quality baby. Sweet, feminine head with dark pigment. Lovely straight front, great neck and shoulders and shapely body. Stylish and elegant mover, handled with care and patience. She would really benefit from being moved more quickly, but she’s just starting out and so gently does it today. I was really smitten. Will follow her progress with interest. BP and PG1. POST GRAD (1) 1. Kelly’s Kelval Kato, 3y b/w dog. A bit strong in head for me, with incorrect bite. Good bone and moved very well. OPEN (1) 1. Mason’s Freebreeze Curtain Call. b/w b, quality head, nice neck and shoulders, short coupled, good topline, really strode out well. BOB on maturity. GSP. POST GRAD (1) 1. Bowman’s Ceilloch Azure. 11m typey b. Nice head and eye. She had a tendency to overstretch standing and moved a little wide behind at times. BP & PG4. OPEN (1) 1. Bowman’s Mill Aika. 2y b. Nice head and eye, lovely neck into well placed shoulders, straight front with deep brisket. Nice topline and moved very freely. Shown in good coat and bloom. BOB. WEIMARANER. POST GRAD (1) 1. Robinson’s Oakeswarren Making Memories For Belgica, puppy b. Squinting in the sun, so difficult to assess her eyes. I felt she was immature in head for now and needs time to develop, however she moved out freely around the ring for one so young holding her topline well. BP/BOB. BRACCO ITALIANO. One of my favourite breeds. OPEN (2) 1. Sanderson’s Owlspoint Trouble Again. 12m l/w docked d. A quality youngster, really liked his head for his age, typical Bracco. Nice bone, body and topline. Both he and his kennel mate moved out around the ring very freely. I just preferred the younger dog’s head for type. Another with promise. BOB. 2. Sanderson’s Owlspoint Trouble At Mill ShCM BWNL’18. 2.5 year old o/w docked d, nice type and fully mature, well bodied, good front and topline. HUNGARIAN VIZSLA. OPEN (1) 1. Hardcastle/Green/Bradley’s Vizslanya Sziena By Vizsaset. 16m high quality b. Very typey with a feminine head, dark eye and lovely expression. True front and rear, holding her topline well on the move. Could have seen off some competition. Shown in lovely bloom and handled expertly. Was delighted to learn later that she has a CC, not at all surprised! I liked her a lot. BOB & G4. AV GUNDOG NSC PUPPY (1) 1. O’Connor’s Karlejay Gump Circle Of Life. 8m docked GWP b. Really sweet headed, good neck and shoulders, good bone and body shape. Shown in good condition and coat, moved steadily for a youngster. Needs to grow on but she’s a baby and has time for that. BP & PG3. OPEN (2) 1. Lawson’s Wansleydale Dorian Gray JW. 2y English Setter tricolour d. Gloriously headed male head, absolutely full of quality, all smooth lines, dark eyes and rich colours. Good proportions, lovely neck into well placed shoulders, lovely bone and substance. Gentle disposition and collected, flowing movement that won him this class. He is only 2 and yet to mature fully but he must surely go on to win many tickets. A quality dog I would love to own. BOB & G2. GUNDOG GROUP G1. American Cocker d. Sunter/Sunter/Pinchen’s Sh Ch Mycalley’s Kennedy JW ShCM. One I have done well before and I delighted to see he has since been made up, congratulations. Handsome, masculine buff dog, with beautiful head, dark eye and pigment. Reachy neck into well laid back shoulders, good bone, spring of rib, short coupled with a sloping topline down to a well set tail. In full coat and beautifully presented, he motored around the ring and could not be denied his place. G2. English Setter. G3. Golden Retriever Woods’ Daily Rays Hope of Heart To Amirene, 19m d. Handsome male head, good neck and shoulders, in full coat, great bone and body, nice bend of stifle, moved really well holding a spirit level topline. Liked him a lot. G4. Hungarian Vizsla. GUNDOG PUPPY GROUP PG1 Pointer. PG2 ESS Smith’s Melverly Lil Dancer. 7m l/w bitch. Lovely quality head, neck and shoulders, great bone and well bodied and coated for her age, really well put together. Really well put together for her age. In immaculate coat and condition Sensitively presented by her young handler to get the best out of her, first time out I believe. Another prospect. PG3 GWP. PG4 GSP. AV GUNDOG P (10,6) 1. Cunliffe’s Sh Ch/Ir Ch Calvdale My Girl of Fallenleaf JW. ESS of 9.5 years. Stunning, compact l/w b full of quality and breed type, beautiful head, neck and shoulders, well bodied and in full coat. She moved effortlessly in typical Springer style, very stylish indeed. Loved her. 2. Chandlers’ Sh Ch Chanangel Sticky Wicket JW ShCM, WSS rising 8 years. Another I have done well before. Pleased to see he has been made up. Immaculate male, excellent head, bone and body in full coat. The winner just out-moved him in front. 3. Sherlock’s Jayzander Blue Moonlight At Crimicar ShCM. 7y blue Cocker d. Really appealed, lovely type, cobby. Well presented and moved very accurately. CAVALIERS. GRAD. (3,1) 1. Nichol’s Chantismere Choir Boy. 2y Blenheim d. Appealing head, good pigment and ear feathering. Well bodied and compact with good ribs, well presented. A bit of a fidget. 2. Gillhespy’s Kringleholme Kiss’N’Run To Lorphil, 4y Blen b. Well bodied, nice type of b, up a bit at the rear and lacking some front teeth sadly. OPEN (3) 1. Kynaston’s Granasil Golden Nugget 4y d. Solid ruby male, in fabulous coat and colour. Good pigment, bone, spring of rib with a level topline and correct tailset, moved well. BOB. 2. Nichol’s Chantismere Chamberlain. Smart, well presented Blenheim d again with a nice head and dark pigment, good ribs, compact body, moved well though excitable and proud of his tail today. 3. Walker’s Korolevsky Iosif ShCM. YORKSHIRE FINEST AV PUPPY STAKES. (18,8) 1. Greathead/Shearman’s Glockens Raise The Stakes. Min Schnauzer. Smart 9m d, showing well, clean neck and shoulders, firm topline and short, cobby body, moving very true both ends and attentive to his handler. 2. Bird/Lester/Smith’s Hawksflight Paparazzi At Domburg 11m BSD Groenendael. Stylish, elegant head, square built in good coat, moved with precision and showed well for a youngster. 3.
