Whippets

Puppy (4)

1. Hawkins Maidenbower Maverick at Copperhawk, fawn male, liked the overall shape of this nicely sized boy. Lean in head with nice eye and expression, jaw had strength, reachy neck to decently laid shoulder, front of good width, fine bone, good feet, reasonable depth & good tuck-up, angled rear, could move with more enthusiasm for advantage however he was sound & had correct forward action, fine coat, presented well. BP and HPG2 2.

2. Bunney’s Bunehug Blessed N Bewitched, fawn, very similar in shape to 1; feminine tapered head, preferred shoulder placement of 1, however she had good depth, nicely arched over loin, angled quarters, moved well enough here.

3. Allansson, Runesson & Macdonald’s Jasaret Salted Caramel of Macalldon

Post Graduate (5) 1ab

1. Bird’s Blandings Eyes on the Prize, nicely sized most elegant brindle bitch, lean head, dark oval eye giving good expression, strength of jaw, arched long neck to well-placed shoulder & good return, straight forelegs, finely boned, correct feet, good depth and nicely tucked-up, slight arch over loin, angled hindquarters, moving well here. BOB and HG4.

2. Knowles Lolani Storm Rider, very nicely presented dark fawn male of elegance throughout, good arched length of neck to well placed shoulder, good front, nice spring off the pastern, good depth & tuck-up, good spring of rib, nicely arched and good topline, strong hindquarters & good muscle tone, fine close coat gleaming, just preferred the ground coverage of 1 in this class. Res.BOB

3. Smith’s Welstar Airs and Graces at Cryhavoc

Open (2)

1. Wilson’s Demerlay First Kiss for Hamiltonhill, fawn bitch who won this class over 2 on better overall construction. Although she was larger than I would ideally prefer, she had a good whippet curvy shape, good shoulder placement and was balanced. Shown in good condition for her 9 years; not moving so well here but deserved her placing.

2. Bunney’s Jothryn Bjorne to Party with Bunehug, brindle of smaller proportions, finely headed, adequate neck, reasonable depth & strong over loin, angled quarters, moving with enthusiasm.
