OPEN SHOW 9th JULY 2019 

 

ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIEL 

PUPPY (1) 

1st Glendinning’s  PLAIGLEN ENCORE 

A pleasing young bitch, with lovely head and expression has dark eye and long lobular ears. Very smart in profile when stacked, with good depth for a youngster. Strong over loin and adequate rear angulation. Moved well off strong hocks. Stood alone today but would do well in company BP 

 

OPEN (2) 

1st Clarke’s BEATERS BARON JW Sh CM 

Excellent head, with well set on ears of good length. Good straight front, well laid shoulders, ribs well sprung, moderate rear angulation. Carrying his age so well with sound and stylish movement. Presented in excellent condition. BOB 

 

2nd Glendinning’s  PLAIGLEN BEATERS BSTYLISH 

Masculine in head, deep flews. Muscular neck and well sloped shoulders. Ribs well sprung and adequate rear angulation.  Good tight feet and strong hocks. Moved soundly. Res BOB  

 

ENGLISH SETTER 

PUPPY (5) 

1st Taylor’s WANSLEYDALE BUSY BEE 

A very promising young lady who stood out in this class for her overall balance and outline. Very attractive in head, oval skull and adequate stop. Well laid shoulders, correct short back and good turn of stifle. Moved steadily for a youngster. I expect a bright future for her BP & Res BOB 

 

2nd Sharples’ KANLETTER SERAPHINA 

Another pleasing youngster with pleasing head proportions and correct low earset. Firm in body with strong straight front and good rear angles. Not as together on the move as my winner.

JUNIOR (2) 

1st Sharples’ MARIGLEN SERENDIPITY AT KANLETTER 

Pleasing head and expression with good eye colour. Muscular neck and well angulated both fore and aft presenting a balanced and pleasing outline. Strong hindquarters and moved out soundly and true. Shown in good coat with ample feathering. Pleased to hear this win gave her JW, well done. BOB.

2nd Hopper’s BRANSTORM FOREST SPRITE 

Good reach of neck with good straight front. Short in back, ample rear angulation with correct tailset. Shown in good coat and condition. 

 

IRISH RED & WHITE SETTER 

POST-GRADUATE (2) 

1st Green’s ZENDARRIC HEART SHAPED BOX WITH VISZASET 

An upstanding dog, presenting a balanced outline when stacked. Good head proportions with adequate stop. Strong through neck and shoulders well laid, has good depth and adequate bend of stifle. Shown in good coat and condition with clear markings. 

 

2nd Sayer’s SPYEFIRE YORKSHIRE LASS 

Very pleasing in head, dark eye and lovely expression. Shoulders well laid and elbows tight in, well sprung ribcage. Lots to like about this one but had her head down on the move today spoiling her gait. 

 

OPEN (2) 

1st Gardiner’s ALANEA GAME RESERVE WITH DANWISH 

A very sound and well balanced dog from all angles. Masculine in head with correct proportions and good pigmentation. Excellent front assembly, very firmly made in body and strong over loin, Shown in excellent coat and condition He has free sound movement and moved with purpose to take BOB 

 

2nd McDonald’s ROANJORA CASTELAO JW Sh CM 

Another quality dog, built on a smaller frame than my winner yet he is so balanced throughout. Pleasing in head with kind dark eye, good straight front with good depth to chest and strong hindquarters, moved out soundly at one with his handler. Close decision here today. Res BOB 

 

ITALIAN SPINONE 

POST-GRADUATE (5) 

1st Waigh’s PROTTINO DEL VERA BY DEWHALA 

Pleasing in head, occiput well developed and has kind expression and correct eye shape. Shoulders well placed with blades apart, and has good depth to chest. Ample rear angulation with good width to thigh and strong hocks. Well off for bone and the best mover in the class holding topline well. Res BOB 

 

2nd Nicholson’s TREPUR LUTHIEN TINUVIEL 

Found her attractive in head with correct divergent planes, good eye colour and has a lovely kind expression.  Rangier in build than my winner but has strong forequarters and well sprung ribs.  

 

3rd Bottom’s LUCORU PACHAMAMA

1st Coldwell’s LUCORU ITALIAN JASMINE 

Really liked her head and expression, good eye colour and correct planes with good muzzle depth. When stacked she presented a correct breed outline with slight slope and strong over loin with adequate rear angulation. Moved out well a tidy mover. BOB 

 

2nd Waigh’s DEWHALA FIGLIO DI UNA PESCA 

Masculine in head, with kind expression. Well off for bone and substance and well made throughout. Has good straight front with good large round feet. Deep in chest and adequate rear angulation. Preferred the hind action of my winner.
