SEDGLEY & GORNAL OPEN SHOW - 24th NOVEMBER 2019

COCKER SPANIEL

PUPPY (3)

1st Brookes’ KYRENIA FORTY FOUR

A very promising golden dog. Correct head proportions with ears set on low. Well sprung ribs and short over loin and well balanced throughout in profile. Well bodied for a youngster and moved out well with a true gait BP

2nd Proudler’s KIMPAPA KWARTA KORKI

A real raw baby, pleasing head proportions, adequate stop, ribs well sprung and nicely angulated behind. Needs to tighten up in front movement.

JUNIOR (2)

1st Proudler’s KIMPAPA KOCKA KAIA

Stood alone today. Attractive head with good chiselling and square finish to muzzle Would prefer her more compact in body, ribs well sprung and correct amount of rear angulation. Moved soundly.

POST- GRAD (3)

1st Davies’ DAILEY DREAMER

Correct head with well defined stop and well set ears. Good length to neck and good depth of chest, adequate bone and presented a balanced outline. Handler tended to over stretch which lost her rear angulation on the stack. Moved confidently and presented in good coat and condition BOB

2nd Proudler’s RINGSLADE FISHER KING FOR KIMAPA

A young dog, pleasing in head and correct earset. Shoulders well sloped, firmly made throughout with good body proportions, just carrying too much weight today.

 OPEN  (4)

1st DAILEY DREAMER (repeat)

2nd Proudler’s KIMPAPA KINDA KRAZEE

Mature seven year old bitch. Lovely head and expression. Good straight front assembly and well boned throughout. Preferred the rear drive of my BOB.

AV IMPORT REG

OPEN (1)

1st Sumner’s NANTIDERRI MYRTLE Kg

Pleasing head proportions with moderate stop and correct eye shape. Deep well developed chest, adequate rear angulation when stacked. Unfortunately on the move she was roaching her back which affected her co-ordination and she moved very erratically.

AVNSC GUNDOG

PUPPY (8)

1st Newman’s HOLSAN AHNA MORGANNA  HWV

A very promising puppy with correct construction and so well balanced when stacked. Very attractive head and expression with adequate furnishings. Good straight front assembly, elbows close in and well ribbed back with adequate bend to stifle. Moved out confidently and soundly with correct tailset. Should do very well in the future. BP and Puppy Group 2

2nd Hartley & Myers SILBERLISS EXCALIBUR FOR ASTRAZONE Wei

A promising young male, with lovely aristocratic head and expression. He lacked confidence but once settled I could appreciate his correct length to height ratio and balanced angulation. Needs to carry less weight.

3rd Seymour’s GLENBROWS IDEOLOGY FOR PEGASETT  wss

JUNIOR (2)

1st Critchley’s BRACCORIONS NEVER SAY NEVER Bracco Italiano

One I have done well for before as a puppy and she has certainly fulfilled her early promise and presents a pleasing square outline when stacked. A lovely headed bitch with correct head planes and good muzzle depth. Moved out confidently with style although moving a little close behind today.

2nd Poultney’s BRIGHT BELLJANGLE Wei

Pleasing head proportions, with good straight front and well laid shoulders. Moved soundly out and back, tail carriage a little high. Unfortunately she was difficult to assess as constantly being baited with food.

POST-GRADUATE (5)

1st Mountcastle & Worth’s  SARABANDE DANCE TO THE RHYTHM JW  wss

Attractive in head with adequate stop and dark eye. Straight front assembly good bone and strong hindquarters with correct amount of angulation. Presents a balanced and symmetrical outline when stacked. She just requires her furnishings to complete the picture. Moved very soundly with drive and confidence to take Best AVNSC

2nd Newman’s  MORGANNA ZATAR HWV

A strongly made young dog who presents a balanced outline when stacked. Very masculine head with adequate stop. Strong through neck, shoulders well laid with straight front and elbows tight in. Well muscled hindquarters with moderate angulation. Unlucky to meet my overall winner today.

3rd Seymour’s PEGASETT STAR ATTRACTION wss

OPEN (1)

1st Thomas’s GLENBROWS FIRE STARTER  wss

Correct head proportions with pleasing expression and correct eye colour. Presents a balanced and smart outline when stacked. Good neck length and strong topline. Presented in good coat and condition. Lost out to the driving movement of my winner in the challenge.

AV GUNDOG VETERAN (11)

1st Darby’s SH CH BROCKCHIME BESTA BOTH TO INCADAR  LM

This was a top quality class of veterans I was privileged to judge today. My first placed stood out for her overall balance and her sound movement. Very pleasing in head with kind dark eye. Well laid shoulders and well muscled hindquarters with correct angles. Shown in tip top gleaming coat and hard muscular condition. A very worthy show champion of the breed.

2nd Anstead’s SH CH/BEL/LUX/INT SH CH RIVERWATCHR ATKA nsdtr

Another top quality exhibit, such a well constructed dog throughout. Best of heads, strong through neck with well laid shoulders Held his topline well and stood on strong hocks. Moved out with drive and purpose, shown in excellent coat and condition.
