Many thanks to the Committee for inviting my daughter Siobhan and I to Judge at this very welcoming Show. Thank you to the exhibitors for their entries. Special thanks to our lovely Stewards especially our young Steward who helped enourmously. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

AVNSC PASTORAL PUPPY (2/2) 1ST CURREN’S STORMYMOON ODIN. BRIARD BLACK DOG 6 MONTHS Took my eye as he entered the ring. Strong head, balanced all thru. Strong square muzzle. Eyes dark, kind expression. Level firm topline which he held on the move. Well off for bone. Well angulated front and rear. Good depth and width to chest. Moved really well. He had a lovely temperament and was full of character. I will watch his career with interest as I’m sure it will be a bright one. My Best Puppy in Show.2nd SWIETNICKI’S TALRAZ FALLING LEAVES AT SILVIANA BEARDED COLLIE BROWN & WHITE DOG 8 MONTHS Another lovely puppy. Super head and expression. Square flat muzzle, good forechest and length of rib. Well balanced. Moved soundly. Another pup I will watch as he develops.

GERMAN SPITZ MITTEL (1/2) 1ST HESLOP’S FLAMUNA AWESOME AS. BLACK. DOG. 2 YRS Broad flat skull. Dark eyes. Small triangular ears well set, used well. Short coupled, Well presented. Coat of correct harsh texture.

CHOW CHOW (3/3) 1ST HUNT & OLIVER’S MOSSPARK BLUE SPANGLE BLUE BITCH 3 YRS A feminine head piece. Well developed ribcage and tuck up of loin. Strong hind quarters, strong hocks & pasterns. In beautiful coat, which was well presented. Moved soundly coming & going. lovely side gait. BOB 2nd ELLIS’ BOJINGHAI SONG BIRD. RED BITCH. 11 MONTHS. A lovely puppy, she has a pretty feminine head. Good pigmentation. Broad chest, well sprung ribs. Back short and strong. Moved around the ring with purpose and drive. One to watch for the future. MINIATURE POODLE (1/2) 1ST SMART’S VOODOOLAN BLACK MAGIC SPELL ShCm ShEx BLACK. DOG. 2 YRS Beautifully presented, a smart wee dog. Masculine head, keen dark eye. Back short & strong, good spring of rib. A dog of quality, I have admired him from the side of the ring & going over him I wasn’t disappointed. Stylish in his movement a proper little showman. He was shortlisted for Best in Show.

AVNSC UTILITY OPEN (1/2) 1st O’ BRIAN & CHAMBERS LUVUM APACHE SPIRIT WITH ROCKWATER FRENCH BULLDOG FAWN WITH BLACK MASK DOG. 16 MONTHS. Quite a character, masculine head. Nicely set ears of good size. Cobby & strong, good bone. Well muscled, moved soundly.

DACHSHUND MINI SMOOTH HAIR (3/3) 1st MASON TECKLETOWN SOMETHING MAGIC BLACK & TAN DOG. 13 MONTHS Aptly named. Handsome head, kind eye. Good topline, correct tail carriage, nice feet. Moved soundly, held his topline. An eye-catching dog, a lovely outline, shown in top condition. One I will watch out for in the future. Handled to perfection. BOB & Reserve Best in Show. 2nd MASON TECKLETOWN YOU’RE THE ONE BLACK & TAN BITCH this must have been a cracking litter as this litter sister is also a cracking example of the breed. A pretty, feminine head. Sweet expression. Very similar attributes as her brother, just a little hesitant today on the move. But kindly handled. 3rd UPTON’S DENVAL TANTALIZE

Well made hind quarters, strong short hocks. Moved effortlessly. BOB 2nd DRADY’S INDIKO DESTINED TO BE CREAM. SHADED CREAM BITCH 2YRS Another pretty, feminine head. Nice reach of neck. Nice topline and strong hindquarters. Good front and length of rib. In lovely condition.

WHIPPET (1/1) POTT’S TEKDAG GO FOR THE GOLD TO KLONDYKE. FAWN BRINDLE & WHITE BITCH 3YRS Pretty head, gentle expression. Balanced outline. Used rear angulation well, moved soundly. 

IRISH SETTER (1/1)1ST GLASPER’S ESBROWN LORD OF THE DANCE AT DENETOP. DOG 5YRS Handsome head, lovely expression. Well sprung ribs, strong hind quarters. A little erratic on the move in such a small hall, but I’m sure outside he will move with drive.

POINTER (2/2) 1ST ANDERSON-ROWELL’S LITTLE OWL SCANDIACA FOR DALEDANCER (IMP SVK) BLACK & WHITE BITCH 5YRS Feminine, alert. Good head carriage. Good forechest, deep brisket. Well proportioned, good rear angulation. Moved with purpose and drive. BOB 2nd ANDERSON-ROWELL’S DALEDANCER RITA OWLA ORANGE & WHITE BITCH 6 MONTHS A lovely puppy, pretty head. Good reach of neck onto well laid shoulders. Strong firm topline for one so young, nicely angulated. Moved well. Very promising. BPIB

Moved soundly. 2nd ANDERSON-ROWELL’S DALEDANCER SILVER FRAME ShCm. ORANGE & WHITE DOG 8 ½ YRS Pleasing masculine head, held proud on well set shoulders. Presented in hard condition, fit and moved with purpose. Moved soundly.

AV SPECIAL VINTAGE (3/3) A CLASS TO TEAR AT YOUR HEARTSTRINGS IT WAS HARD TO PICK BETWEEN THE THREE. 1ST DRADY’S KOBO FIRST CHANCE M/L/H DACHSHUND SILVER DAPPLE DOG 11 YEARS YOUNG What a sweetheart handsome head, kind eye. Long neck onto well set shoulders. Level topline, nice underline. His movement belied his age and he was clearly enjoying his day out. 2nd DRADY’S LARKHUND RUSSIAN KWEEN BLACK & TAN BITCH 10 YRS YOUNG Pretty and feminine. Good length of neck and good front proportions. Well set quarters. Moved soundly. 3rd FAWCETT’S DOONELODGE DANCE TEMPO SABLE & WHITE DOG BELIES HIS 12 YEARS Handsome head, kind eye. Ears well set and used to perfection. Presented in lovely condition and well groomed.

Very good ear placement, alert and inquisitive, Good neck length onto well set shoulders. Strong top line with well sprung ribs. Good height at withers. Nice square body in profile. Moved effortlessly, sound in all directions. Presented in beautiful condition. I had no hesitation on awarding him Best in Show. Congratulations
