German Shepherd Dog

Puppy (2)

1. Kearnan's Rosebud Daenerys. Attractive dark sable bitch puppy of almost seven months, pretty head, dark eyes and well used ears. Good front, well proportioned holding an excellent topline and has good angulation without being exaggerated. Firm hocks and moved well in this small ring. Super temperament. Best Puppy and Pupy Group 2.

2. Mirecki's Hamadryas Gold at Wakanda. Almost nine month old black and tan, bigger stamp of bitch, strong but feminine head, good front and well angulated, decent topline, steady mover, well turned out in good coat and condition, not as outgoing as (1).

Post Graduate (6, 5)

1. Kearnan & Wilson's Clynalwyn's Nukon. Smart black and tan lad of two and a half years. Dark eyes, well placed and used ears, good front angulation but pasterns could be firmer, holds a good topline and croup is well laid, bit more hind angulation than I would like. Moved with a powerful side gait.

Open (4, 2)

1. Kearnan's UK CH/NL CH/INT CH Clynalwyn's Kayson. From seeing this lad at his first ever show I have followed his career with interest, now coming up for six I finally got a chance to put my hands on him and I was not disappointed. He has a strong masculine head, dark eyes, alert with well used ears and good dentition. He has a good reach of neck into superb topline, excellent proportions and good angulation front and rear without any exaggeration. Knows his job and moved like he owned the ring. Owner has every right to be proud of him and what he has achieved. A smashing dog. Best of Breed.

2. Ranshaw & Askham's Reyakosa Azon. Four year old black and gold male with a masculine head, dark eyes, good overall proportions and carries a good topline. Another without exaggeration and moving well, just unlucky to meet (1) still in such top form.

Border Collie

Puppy (1)

1. Winup & Papaila's Rogansrock Seal With A Kiss. Eight month old black and white bitch, pretty, well balanced head, dark eyes, well used ears, good proportions and level topline, good feet and enough bone, angulation sufficient and moved very well. Best Puppy.

Post Graduate (2)

1. Green's Rogansrock Midnight Dream. Black and white bitch of twenty-two months. Lovely head, well used ears with dark eyes and good dentition. Level topline, good angulation front and rear, moving with ease.

2. Garvey's Chikaramor Kynda Klassy. Three year old black and white bitch, bigger stamp of bitch than (1), deeper in body, well balanced head with well used ears, winner had the edge on movement here.

All three were Veterans and a credit to their owners.

1. Garvey's Melneg Touch Of Frost. Ten year old black and white male, good head although ears a tad low set, dark eyes, well put together and still has a good topline, well angulated and moved very well. Best of Breed and Group 3.

2. Green's Borderpride Future Dream at Rubywings. Another ten year old, keen expression and well proportioned body, still holds his topline and has good angulation.

3. Winup & Paipala's Coussiere Black Magic at Rogansrock. Eight year old black and white male, good head with good angulation, topline tends to fall away a tad.

Post Graduate (1)

1. Kellett & Burrow's Fostebrie Exotique Noir of Kellbry JW ShCM. Thirteen month old upstanding black bitch, good head proportions, level topline, well balanced throughout, well off for bone, moved with drive.

Open (1)

1. Kellett & Burrow's Fostebrie Romantique of Kellbry ShCM. Five year old fawn bitch, lovely head and expression, good reach of neck into level topline, well proportioned body and good angulation, well off for bone, with coat in super condition. Moved well.

Shetland Sheepdog

Puppy (1)

1. Walker's Channerswick Penny Wise. Nine month old blue merle bitch, pretty head with dreamy expression, lovely head shape and good underjaw. Well balanced with enough bone, good topline and well angulated. Moved very well. Best Puppy and Puppy Group 4.

Junior (1)

1. Walker's Tooralie's No No Nanette. Sixteen month old striking black and white bitch with a lovely head. Dark eyes, well placed ears and good underjaw. Well balanced throughout, holds her topline and overall is very nicely put together. Well handled and moved out with style.

Open (4, 1)

1. Jacobs & Johnson's Willowthorn Dream Gazer JW ShCM. Nineteen month old sable and white male. Lovely head with well used ears. Good underjaw, dark eyes which are a tad full, lovely outline overall, nicely angulated front and rear and holds his topline. Moved well. Best of Breed and pleased to award him the Pastoral Group.

2. Savage's Willowthorn Kobalt Star by Savataurus JUN CH JW. Blue merle male, two and a half years. Good head proportions, ears a tad low set, well balanced, good topline, rather proud of his tail, moved well.

Puppy (2, 1)

1. Robinson's Thingamebob She's A Star (Bearded Collie). Seven month old slate and white bitch. Well balanced head, dark eyes, good bone, forechest needs to develop but coming along nicely. Good ribcage, good bone, holds her topline, moved well. Best Puppy and Puppy Group 3.

Post Graduate (8, 1)

1. Collinson's Nikara Secret Love by Norjack JW (Samoyed). Seventeen month old bitch, lovely outline and in super coat. Darkest of eyes, neat ears, good front and topline held on the move, which she did with ease. Well presented. Best AVNSC.

2. Dodgson's Nellbrook Dark Illusion at Wreckinroc (Bearded Collie). Seventeen month old bitch, lovely head and expression, good forechest and ribcage, well balanced and moved well.

3. Woodhead's Nikara Secret Wish with Pashka (Samoyed).

Open (3)

1. Dodgson's Nellbrook Dark Illusion at Wreckinroc (Bearded Collie). 2nd in previous class.

2. Woodhead's Zeelukzak Ice'N Precious from Pashka (Samoyed). Six year old bitch, not quite as together as (1), nice head and moved well.

3. Thomas' Zeelukzak Om Shanti (Samoyed).

Pastoral Group

1. Shetland Sheepdog.

2. Simpson's Ch Coppercoat's Cruiser Among Simonsville JW (IMP FIN) (Lancashire Heeler). Smart four year old black and tan male, good head with broad skull and wedge shaped head, moderate neck into good topline, well balanced body with good angulation and well turned stifle, holds his topline well on the move.

3. Border Collie.

4. Bermingham, Kendrick & Almeida's Ned Ch Rainha Da Casa De Loas Em Bamcwt EJW '16 (IMP POR) (Estrela Mountain Dog). Upstanding three year old fawn bitch with a good head, balanced throughout and moving out well.

Pastoral Puppy Group

1. Simpson's Animalcompaniets Valperez Cowboy via Simonsville (IMP SWE) (Lancashire Heeler). Eight month old well grown Heeler male, with a very good head. Excellent outline with good angulation and holds his topline on the move which is brisk and free. One to watch.

1. Garvey's Melneg Touch of Frost (Border Collie). Best Veteran.

2. Reid's Asterel Chiquitita at Milagre (Estrela Mountain Dog). Ten year old fawn bitch, excellent for age, lovely type and moved well.

3. Walker's Dippersmoor Star Gazer by Tooralie ShCM (Shetland Sheepdog).

AV Pastoral Good Citizen (7)

Junior Handling 6 - 11 years

1. Francesca Wilson aged 11. Smart young handler who was sympathetic to her dog, listened to my instructions and showed the teeth well, good pattern work at correct speed for her dog, just needs to watch where judge is on return. Reserve Best Junior Handler.

2. Charlotte Wilson aged 7. Very good performance and was giving a lot away to the winner on age. Another one taking notice of my instructions and coping well with her dog.

3. Lance Morley aged 6. Very smart young man who put up an excellent performance for one so young. Attentive to his dog and moved at the correct speed.

Junior Handling 12 - 16 years

1. Willow Johnson aged 13. Excellent handler who put up a very good performance. Showed the mouth well, good pattern work, neatly held lead, moved at the right speed for her dog and knew where the judge was at all times. Stood alone here but in the challenge she proved her ability and took Best Junior Handler with another impeccable performance.

YKC Open Stakes (4, 2)

1. Wilson's CH/IR CH Chadbower Nevan Henki Mi Clynalwyn CJW 18 CW 18 (Schipperke). Twenty one month old male, lovely for type, foxy head with darkest of eyes, strong neck, compact cobby body and in super coat.

2. Jacobs & Johnson's Willowthorn Dream Gazer (Shetland Sheepdog).

Judge: Jacky Cutler
