Border Collies

Puppy (2) 1. Green & Ratcliffe's Fayken Truth Or Dare With Arrodare. Super pup of ten months, very stylish, keen alert expression with balanced head and dark eyes. Well angulated both ends. Can stand a tad bum high but holds his topline on the move. Just needs to mature in body but he has the frame to fill. Moving very soundly and seriously considered for BOB but had to settle for BP and pleased to see him take Puppy Group 2. 2. Smith's Miz Janey Of Terverley. Sweet baby of just six months, pretty head with dark eyes. Good front and well balanced body, although does not need to carry any more weight. Angulations ok, tad erratic going round and the winner had the edge on movement.

Junior (2) 1. Spurr's Dreamwork Collat'ral Beauty. Sixteen month old litter sisters and this pretty red merle has the edge on maturity at this stage. Feminine well balanced head with piercing blue eyes, well used ears, good reach of neck, holds her topline on the move, angulations ok and coat coming nicely. 2. Spurr's Dreamwork Picture Perfect. Blue merle, not quite as forward as her sister, looking slightly longer cast and preferred the front assembly of (1). Rear angulation ok. Movement can be a tad erratic.

Open (1) 1. Lee's Master Of Illusion JW. Two year old black and white male I have judged before as a youngster. He has now matured into a handsome dog with a masculine well balanced head, broad skull, well used ears and dark eyes with a keen expression. Moderate neck into an excellent topline which he held on the move, balanced throughout and well angulated front and rear, well off for bone. Stands on good feet and has a super coat presented in top order. Moved out easily to take Best of Breed.

German Shepherd Dogs

Not the ideal ring for this breed, well done to handlers for coping with it well. Super temperaments throughout and pleased to say all were shown correctly.

Puppy (2) 1. Kearnan's Betha Vom Erdinger. Good sized strongly pigmented black and gold bitch coming up to ten months, strong but femine head with a super expression and well used ears, correct dentition, good forechest, well boned, balanced in body with a good topline, Good rear angulation but still rather loose in hocks which showed going away, moved with a good side gait. Best Puppy. 2. Fletcher's Samstag Chicci At Ralymin. Seven month old black and gold bitch, pretty head with the darkest of eyes, well used ears, forechest needs to develop, holds topline on the move, good angulations but another with loose hocks which were not helped by this surface. Good side gait.

Junior (1,1)

Post Graduate (2,2)

Open (3) 1. Wilson's Zentrum's Yanka At Clynalwin JW ShCM. Lovely six year old black and gold bitch with a super well balanced outline with no exaggerations. Holds a good topline both standing and on the move, stands over good ground on excellent feet, and is well angulated front and rear without being excessive. Strong hocks allowed her to move with drive and she covered the ground easily with an excellent side gait. Best of Breed. 2. Smith's Portnall Elrick Zu Sarocal ShCM. Handsome three year old gold sable with a masculine head, well used ears, good reach of neck into flowing topline, excellent angulations and overall picture was one of strength and balance. He holds his topline on the move but today the surface did not help his rear action and he paid the price. 3. Jefford's Zakasia Zena At Lexanthi. Eight and a half year old black and tan bitch, in excellent order for her age, lovely head and expression and well balanced, perhaps carrying a little too much weight now, but moving ok.
