CHELMSFORD & DISTRICT CANINE SOCIETY

MEMBERS' LIMITED SHOW

6TH OCTOBER 2019

Thank you to all the exhibitors who braved the dreadful weather conditions. A well run, friendly show blessed with a super committee and some really lovely dogs. My BIS was a super young Jack Russell Terrier, who stood out for me as I saw her come into the hall and from that moment was the one they all had to beat. She did not disappoint on going over her, moved and showed like a seasoned performer and her young handler has her right on point. A pretty, well made Sheltie handled to perfection took the Reserve spot. In Puppies it was a very sassy BGV (Petit) with a smart Portuguese Water Dog close up. The Veterans were as always a treat to judge and the immaculate Lhasa Apso belied her eleven years and could not be denied, although a mention must be made of the Pembroke Corgi who at almost thirteen still commanded the ring.

AVNSC MP (7,4) 1. Palser's Rarjo Goblet Of Fire At Kagamasu (Portuguese Water Dog). Well grown eight months black male. Strong head, well off for bone and good angulation front and rear. Smart mover and coat coming nicely. Reserve Best Puppy In Show. 2. Overington's Kenynten Jinzu (Mini Smooth Dachs). Seven months chocolate male. Pleasing head and a balanced outline, well ribbed and moved out with drive. 3. Battram's Tampico Eternal Flame (Long Coat Chi). Just six months bitch. A real baby a little overawed by the proceedings, but showing a lot of promise once settled.

AVNSC P (7,3) 1. Bishop's Jamar Ina The Countessa (BGVP). Eleven month old bitch with a feminine head, good reach of neck into well balanced body with good ribbing. Just needs to tighten up all round but time is on her side. Best Puppy in Show.  2. Threadgold's Norvin Joyeux Noel (Norwegian Elkhound). Pretty head with the darkest of eyes on this nine month old bitch, compact body, well off for bone and moving well for one so young. 3. Rogers' Razkiah High Flyer (Australian Shepherd).

AVNSC J (5,1) 1. Garrood's Ukusa Dobrynya (Russian Black Terrier). Upstanding sixteen month old male, masculine head and well balanced body, kept his topline on the move and in excellent coat. Moved with purpose. 2. Anderson's Malenkhai Miss Vanilla Ice At Proveits (Parson Russell Terrier). Pretty head on this fourteen month old bitch, dark eyes, super harsh coat and ideal for size, enthusiastic on the move. 3.  Dugdale's Kinnegans Supernova At Daykonea (Gt Dane).

AVNSC Y (9,3) 1. Stephen's Bedu Hot Gossip (Mini Smooth Dachs). Eighteen month old black and tan bitch, lovely size and balanced all through with a good topline, moving very well. 2. Fulcher's Classicus Amani At Khandibah (Saluki). Graceful outline on this elegant male, good reach of neck into well balanced body with moderate angulation, stands over good ground and moves with drive.

AVNSC N (4,3) 1. Ovel's Jimaura Queen of Spain (Pointer). Black and white bitch, balanced head, good topline and well angulated, not making the most of herself.

AVNSC G (5,4) 1. Ovel's Jimaura Dancing Queen (Pointer). Litter sister to Novice winner and a little more positive in her attitude. Nicely marked, balanced head, again good angulation and short coupled, driving well from the rear.

AVNSC PG (4,3) 1. Benton & Benelman's Oakestelle Asteria (Smooth Collie). Two year old tri bitch, pretty head with well used ears and dark eyes, good reach of neck, excellent topline and good feet. Well angulated, would prefer a tad more bone and substance. Moved nicely.

AVNSC L (11,2) 1. Jones' Perfect Love Di Sutri At Laserna (IMP ITA) Jun Ch CW19 (Jack Russell Terrier). Super little white and tan bitch, caught my eye as she came in, lovely for size and excellent coat, absolutely sparkled, won this by a country mile and could not deny her Best In Show. 2. Threadgold's Bowerhinton Bywnans (Norwegian Elkhound), Super outline on this six year old bitch, darkest of eyes, beautiful coat and colour and moved well. 3. Mullaney's Brocolitia Saffron (Wire Fox Terrier).

AVNSC O (12,2) 1. Hoare's Briggsview Opalesque (Shetland Sheepdog). Pretty head with the sweetest expression on this five year old blue merle bitch, well used ears, balanced body covered in super coat, well angulated and holds her topline on the move, unlucky to meet the Limit winner today but pushed hard for top honours. Reserve Best In Show. 2. Benton & Smith's Brooklynson's El Dorado (Rough Collie). Super head and expression on this sable and white male, now maturing nicely and carrying a lovely coat. Well bodied, good angulation front and rear and holding his topline, not making the most of himself in this ring. 3. Dickenson's Kalaslane Demyan (IKC) ShCM (Russian Black Terrier)

AVNSC V 7+ (7,3) 1. Aylott's Brisam Subaru (Pembroke Corgi). Pretty head on this eight and a half year old sable and white bitch, dark eyes, excellent front, good topline and well angulated front and rear. Moving out nicely. 2. Root's Sherolie Heavenly Charm At Carolelen (Shetland Sheepdog). Almost nine year old shaded sable bitch, pretty head with well used ears, lovely size and moved well. 3. Dickenson's The Ace Of Spades ShCM (Russian Black Terrier).

AVNSC V 10 + (3,1) 1. Leaver's Shogandale Cubra Libre ShCM (Lhasa Apso). Super outline on this eleven year old gold brindle bitch, still holds a good topline, well angulated front and rear and moving easily. Presented in fabulous coat and condition. Best Veteran In Show. 2. Aylott's Barwal Belle (Pembroke Corgi). Almost thirteen tricolour bitch super for her age, in lovely coat and condition and movement belied her years for which she was awarded Oldest Veteran In Show.
