Coventry and District Gundog Society – Open Show 1/12/19

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge at this show. It was a pleasure to have such a good of quality dogs. I thoroughly enjoyed my day, thank you once again.

Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers –

Puppy –

1st Warren, Fieldranger’s Kubla Khan –

8 month old dog with an attractive strong masculine skull with a correct bite and a lovely alert expression. Good depth of chest and strong bone on the forequarters showing desirable reach on the move. Pleasing spring of rib and strong loin with a dark, good texture of coat. Covered the ground well in the space provided. BPIB

2nd Cornes, Redginjas Maui –

9 month old dog, showing good balance in the fore and hindquarters. Lighter in the eye and slightly rounded but with a keen expression and nicely shaped skull with a correct bite. Lovely straight front legs with small tight feet. Deep chest but would like more spring of rib. Coat slightly longer but of good texture with a beautiful white tip on his tail.

Junior –

1st Westwood, Eusanit Hot Totty –

15 month old bitch, showing a feminine shaped skull and correct bite with nicely shaped eye and level ear set. Deep chested, level top line and good spring of rib. Lighter in bone but had straight legs with tight feet. Slightly smaller in fame but covered ground well moving effortlessly. Lighter in colour with good texture of coat and lovely white tip.

2nd Rogers, Eusanit Peaky Blinder –

15 month old dog, strong and well boned. With a broad skull with a pleasing darker eye but preferred head of 1st. Well sprung ribs with good tuck up. Heavily coated with a good texture. Moved with power and covered ground well. Seemed to enjoy his time in the ring.

3rd Warren, Fieldranger’s Kubla Khan

Post Graduate –

1st Anstead, Riverwatcher Kila –

1 year old dog, who has grown up nicely. Pleasing broad masculine head and bright eyes. Although didn’t have a perfect bite but overall stood strong. Strong neck with well laid back shoulders and adequate depth of chest. On the taller side but moved effortlessly.

2nd Davis, Catch First Ylva Garonera (IMP CZE) –

2 year old bitch, with a feminine broad skull, ears slightly long but had a keen expression. Strong neck and level top line with a good tail set. Deep chested and well boned with tight feet. Moved well throughout the class.

3rd Rogers, Eusanit Peaky Blinder

Open –

1st Westwood, Eusanit Proper Job –

15 month dog, strong masculine head with a good stop and ear set. Correct bite and had a keen expression. Strong boned with a straight front and deep chest. I would prefer more muscle but beautifully balanced fore and hind angles. Stood strong with a straight top line and moved freely and very well carrying his tail nicely. A pleasure to give BOB

2nd Anstead, SH CH/BEL/LUX/NL/INT SH CH Riverwatcher Atka CW’16 BWNL’14’16 BWBE’15 –

7 year old dog, with a beautiful head. Adequality boned with tight feet. Deep chested with a good tuck up. Good angulation and well balanced but was on the heavier side today. Good length on back and short loin with straight top line. Had a lovely thick red shade of coat. But, moved a little sluggish today.

3rd Davies, Katmistsky’s Soul Dream
