ENGLISH SETTERS

Junior (2, 0A)

1) Bryant & Hollis Silvamoon Storm Trooper For Phenset JW – 17 months old balanced tri dog in good coat. Masculine head with bright dark eye and low set ears. Straight front leading to tight feet. Long clean neck into well laid back shoulders, deep chested, short in back, good front and rear angles, well muscled rear end. Moved with drive.

2) Hill’s Bramstorm Swallowtail – 12 months old bitch, feminine head, correct length of neck, good bone but feet need to tighten, correct length of neck, needs time to body up and muscle up in rear end. Moved soundly but gave handler a hard time.

Post Graduate (5, 0A)

1) Nunn’s Tawnymeade Tinkerbell Over Setciana – Orange bitch with a pleasing outline. Feminine head, with dark eye with good expression, low set ears. Long neck into good shoulders, straight front with rounded bone leading to tight feet, deep chested, correct topline when stood and on the move, well muscled rear quarters which were used on the move which won her this class.

2) Bailey’s Ravensett Seville At Gwithian JW – Orange belton 21 months old dog who presented a pleasing outline. Masculine head with well defined stop, bright dark eye, ears set low, long clean neck with slight arch in tow well set back, deep chested, back short, well bent stifle. Just preferred the first’s drive on the move. One to watch I am sure in the future.

3) Beasley’s Wanseleydale Amaretto

Open (5, 1A)

1) King’s Dobbies Delight at Grantastar - Blue belton dog who was clearly enjoying his day out. Classic head and expression, tight dark eye, close fitting ears, clean, long neck into well laid back shoulders and corresponding length of upper arm, straight front leading to tight feet, good round bone, deep chested, correct topline, well bent stifle. Moved well in all directions with tail slashing all the time. BOB

2) Whittington’s Juledene Excalibur ShCM - 8 year old balanced dog in profuse coat. Masculine head and expression, tight eye, low earset, clean well arched neck into well laid back shoulders, matching front and rear angles, well bent stifle, well sprung ribs. Moved soundly.

Puppy (5, 2A)

1) Justice’s Liric Remember Me – 8 months old bitch who presented a pleasing outline, Feminine head and expression showing correct proportions, dark bright eye, with ears set close and low to head, straight front leading to well arched feet, correct front and rear angles, level topline which she held on the move. Moved true and with plenty of drive from behind. BP & RBOB

2) Halliday’s Yennadon Barra – 11 month old bitch with a pleasing outline. Classic head and expression, dark eye, with ears set low, deep chested, straight front, correct length of neck, feet need to tighten, when she moved, she tended to lose her topline. Gave handler a hard time when moving but moved soundly.

3) Gunnery’s Longbrow Love Of My Life

Junior (4, 2A)

1) Halliday’s Yennadon Barra – As Puppy and had settled more on the move

2) Okelly’s Lainnireach Original Tonic – 16 months old bitch with a feminine head and expression, straight front with correct bone, well sprung ribs, carrying a tad too much weight which affected her topline on the move. Moved soundly.

Post Graduate (6, 1A)

1) Bryant’s Kilnrae Hallmark JW – Dog who presented a balanced outline, masculine head and expression, would prefer longer muzzle, long well arched neck leading into well laid back shoulders, deep chested, well sprung ribs, well bent stifle. Well muscled rear end. Moved well in all directions.

2) Horler’s Hernwood Jack O’Lantern By Rackens JW – Similar remarks apply to my first. Masculine head and expression, bright dark eye, scissor bite, with ears set low fitting tight to head, clearly defined stop, long neck leading to well laid shoulders, good body proportions, well bent stifle. Moved well but not as accurate on going away as the 1st.

3) Matthewson’s Graylacier Classic Design

Open (7, 2A)

1) Sandiford’s Hernwood Neptune Sea – This dog stood out for quality. So balanced throughout. Masculine head with correct length to breadth of skull, well defined stop, correct muzzle proportions, long, clean, well arched neck into well laid back shoulders, deep in brisket, well sprung ribs, level topline which he also held on the move, well bent stifle. Moved effortlessly around the ring with drive and purpose. BOB

2) Tye’s Kyuna Olympic Arrow of Tymora ShCM – A dog who I have judged before. Smaller framed dog but lots to like about him. Balanced dog with masculine head and expression, Straight front with correct bone, well sprung ribs, corresponding front and rear quarters, level topline which he held on the move, well bent stifle, correct tailset. Moved soundly with purpose.

3) Williams’ Longrow I Love To Boogie JW

1) Gosnell’s Katmistsky’s Ann Again - 16 months old bitch with a feminine head and expression, medium length neck leading to well laid shoulders, short back, moderate tuck up. Straight front leading to round feet. Moved soundly.

1) Strevens’ Sh Ch Erikachen Conaire At Tollisty JW ShCM ShCEx – Balanced dog in gleaming coat. Masculine head and expression with a dark eye, correct length of neck into well laid back shoulders with corresponding length of upper arm, straight front leading to tight feet, well sprung ribs, short back, well muscled rear end, well bent stifle, level topline which he held on the move. Moved with reach and drive with correct tail carriage. BOB

2) Fuard’s Tollelkin Bay Of Ice - Another balanced dog with correct wedge shaped head, with medium eyes and correct ear shape and set, matching front and rear angles, well sprung ribs, deep chested, well bent stifle. Needed feathering to complete the picture today. Moved soundly. RBOB
