1st Mr and Mrs French, DIERVILLA ZEN POWER (IMP POL) 

2 ½ year old male, presented in good coat and condition. Masculine head of correct proportions, clean neck with nice amount of muscle and running smoothly into topline. Good amount of depth and width to chest, well muscled and good bend of stifle. Movement was ok, however was a little on his toes today.  

2nd Mrs Shaw, STILLAIG RED ROSE  

A bitch who lacked in confidence, I would like more length throughout her head and body, and lacked in bone. Pretty expression, however spoilt by her unsureness. Unfortunately movement lacked today as she really wasn’t enjoying her day.

1st Mrs and Mrs French, BALINTYNE JUST YOU JUST ME 

This was a bitch who made me smile as she walked in the ring, worth waiting for. Pretty bitch with soft expression, correct head proportions. Racy in type and nothing over exaggerated, very balanced throughout including good length of neck, into well placed shoulders, straight forelegs. Front and rear angles correct which she showed on the move, where she moved with drive and enthusiasm, holding her topline throughout. A real show girl and really pleased to award her BOB.  

2nd S &E Loynd, ANLORY POACHERS BROOK JOIN CRIMBLEDALE  

A pretty bitch and more mature in body than 1 however lacked the finesse of 1, feel this bitch would benefit from a little less weight as she moved well but with a roll.

1st Mrs Cahouse, GLEADSBURY DYNAMITE 

8 month old bitch who i could have taken home, she was everything I was looking for. A beautiful classic head, with the most pleasing of expressions, ears of good length and nicely covered. She came with the right amount of bone and feet tight and compact. The neck was strong and muscular without any throatiness, for one so young she was well balanced and had correct front and rear angulation which she put to use on the move where she covered the ground effortlessly, driving with enthusiasm and holding her topline as she went. I was really pleased to award her BOB and BP.  

2nd D & G Thomas TIGERROCK OCELLATUS  

8 month old dog, who was of differing type to 1. Slightly rangier than I would prefer but still balanced and masucline in stature. Head of correct proportions and a nice expression. Moved well.  

Graduate (2-0)  

1st D&G Thomas, TIGERROCK SUPER TED  

Masculine Head, compact in size but well balanced, good length of neck, into well placed shoulders, good amount of forechest, well sprung ribs and good depth to chest. Would like a little more length to him but he is balanced for his size. Well Muscled, good bend of stifle and correct hocks, moved well covering the ground with ease. Prefered his size and overall balance to 2.   

2nd Mrs Crabtee WENARK MAY BLOSSOM AT YARLESTRE  

I thought this would be my winner when entered the ring, however she was slightly larger in frame than I would prefer and carrying a little extra weight which threw her off on the move. She had the prettiest of heads with that melting expression, however she lacked in the angulation of 1.  

Open (4-3)  

1st Mr & Mrs Gibson, CALVDALE RAG NYMPH  

4 year old bitch, again bigger in frame than i would prefer for a bitch, however completely balanced and well presented. Beautiful head, with a soft expression, well placed shoulders, good amount of forechest, forelegs straight and well boned, sitting on tight feet. Good spring to rib and correct depth. She is well off for bone and muscle and has good angulation front and rear, she covered the small ring with drive and enthusiasm. Very close for BOB.  

Welsh Springer Spaniels  

Junior (4-1) 

1st Ms Yacoub, LAITHMOORS RED GRENADINE  

17th month old male, masculine in type and nice to see correct amount of bone and substance. Musculine head, with dark eye, lovely brick on brick head, with cheeky expression. Well presented in good coat and condition, well muscled throughout. I liked this boys overall balance and his correct front and rear angulation, he moved well covering the ground with drive and enthusiasm, handler needs to work on showing him off a little better as he deserves to be shown off.  

2nd Mrs Knowles, MENSTONIA MINSTREL  

Different in type to 1, finer throughout, elegant and well balanced, front and rear angulation good, moved with drive and enthusiasm.  

3rd A Varley, TAMMANO WIGEON

1st Mrs Knowles, MENSTONIA MAKE A WISH JW  

17th Months old bitch a little unsure of herself today. Presented a balanced picture including being in good coat and condition. Pretty head with dark eye, good length of neck leading into well placed shoulders, correct amount of bone, straight forelegs standing on tight feet. Good amount of width to forechest, and lovely spring to rib. Well muscled hindquarters, with good bend of stifle, with her slight lack of confidence she tended to sink just a little, however when she was on the move she showed me what strength she had, she drove with ease around the ring.

1st A, T C & DT Ritchie, SARABANDE ETERNITY AT SLAPESTONES JW  

A 3 year old bitch whom i have been waiting to get my hands on, I have admired her from the ringside. She carries the prettiest of heads with an expression that makes the hardest person melt. She is balanced and presented in gleaming condition. She has a clean neck, which leads into well placed shoulders, she stands on straight forelegs with rounded tight feet. Her body is well proportioned and she is well ribbed up with deep brisket, she is well muscled over the loin, she has well muscled hindquarters with good bend of stifle, she moves with this air of ‘look at me’ about her, she powers around the ring with animation. Really pleased to award her BOB.  

2nd D & G Thomas, GLENBROWS FIRE STARTER  

4 year old male of different type to 1, lacking the elegance of 1, but a male you could tell could work the fields all day long, Full of masculinity, muscle and substance and very typically welsh. Moved ok.
