Wessex Border Collie Club
Wessex Border Collie Club Open Show 19 May 2019
Many thanks to the club for the invitation. It is always an honour to judge at a breed Club Show. The entry was affected by clashes with other Border Collie events, which was a great shame for the Wessex Club. My stewards were very efficient and helpful. I spent longer than usual on purpose as it was a club show and for a nice change, I had plenty of time!
All the dogs had delightful temperaments but weight needs to be watched in a few.
Judge: Hazel Fitzgibbon (Smilesam)
Class 1. Minor Puppy Dog (1,0)
1. Pencoppen Good Timin’ (Lampier)
Still a baby puppy with a lot to do. Presenting a promising profile and good proportions for age. Good bone and feet. Moderate croup and good tail set. Moving soundly. BPD

A good puppy in many respects with good reach of neck and steady topline. Well ribbed back. I would prefer more leg length to balance the picture and weight needs watching.
