Coalville & District Canine Society

Coalville - 27th January 2019

My thanks to the Officers and Committee for the kind invitation to judge BIS and Stakes. The show was busy and well run and my stewards exemplary at keeping a ring moving. Best In Show was a lovely line up of dogs and thanks go to the Group judges who did a grand job.

Best In Show was the aristocratic Afghan Hound male, Thendara Love It Like That JW. who revelled in moving around the ample sized ring. His head shape, classic, his neck and shoulder clean and well set, his outline overall, classic and the ringed tail completed the picture. His overall condition was exemplary for a hound and his double suspension gait, just what I was looking for.

Reserve Best In Show to the determined Cesky Terrier, Ch Ashleyheath’s Black Thunder. A powerhouse of correct size, propelling around the ring with great enthusiasm. To go over, displayed good breed characteristics and was in fabulous order with great muscling. Sound as the proverbial pound and enjoying time in the big ring.

Best Puppy in Show was the Irish Setter bitch, Thendara Crystal Ice. With the sweetest head and expression, lovely reach of neck and rich coat colour, she really was in good order and as happy as could be. Reserve Best Puppy in Show was the Pem Corgi, Twinan Shake The Tree, a feminine headpiece on this superbly presented bitch. She performed well and was very sound on the move. Two youngsters with bright futures.
