Thank you to the Secretary, Officers and Committee of Minehead & District C S for their invitation to judge the Utility breeds and Group and the Pastoral Group.

UTILITY GROUP

Utility Group 1 was Barnett & Carter’s Lhasa Apso BELAZIETH SUNDANCE KID WITH ALAMIKS an impressive breed typical junior male who was presented in tip-top condition and possessed the overall conformation to match. Good to go over and appreciate his quality. Moved with great confidence with a purposeful true action. Understand he went on to Reserve Best in Show…well deserved.

Utility Group 2 was the striking Tibetan Terrier Meakin’s LAYOLI FIRECRACKER AT MIKSANG a well constructed 20 month old who presented a very well proportioned and balanced profile. Pleasing in head, front body and hindquarters and moved with a true, free action.

Utility Group 3 was Edens’ Dalmatian DALENS A SPOT OF TROUBLE JW ShCM a very smart 2 year old bitch who has an attractive head and presents a very clean outline in profile. Well made in front, body and hindquarters and was impressive in side gait.

Utility Group 4 was Todd’s eye-catching white Standard Poodle DEL ZARZOSO GRACIAS POR VENIR a rising 4 year old mature bitch who was in notable body and coat condition and was commendable in presentation. Pleasing in head and expression and well made all through and in firm body condition. Moved with great drive and style.

1st Cummins & Rogers’ TAICHOW SUZY WONG AT DRAGONSWAY a mature 5 year old petite bitch having a pleasing head and expression. True enough in front and well made in body and hindquarters. Moved OK.

1st Cummins & Rogers’ CH DRAGONSWAY TOM THUMB an upstanding 4 year old male of pleasing size and stature. Very breed typical in head and overall appearance. Well made body which is all in proportion. Moved well with an easy confident action.

1st Wallington’s ROVINJDAL DARE TO DREAM ShCM a distinctly well marked 14 month old bitch is of pleasing shape both in balance and proportions. Preferred her front and front movement to 2nd.

2nd Kaal & Rance’s DALLYDYL DREAM OF MANDERLEY TO OLBERO a 10 month old bitch who is attractive in head. She is well boned and has pleasing body cover. Pleasing in profile. Needs to settle both standing and moving to give of her best. Best Puppy in Breed.

2nd Wallington’s ROVINJDAL DARE TO DR4EAM ShCM a well boned and bodied 5 year old mature male. Attractive in head, prefer him to be tighter in front. Pleasing side profile with moderate angulations front and rear. Tended to crab slightly on the move.

1st Crocker’s TWOOFUS LOVE IS IN THE AIR a 2 year old very smart bitch who is pleasing on the stand. Attractive head, well made front & forequarters with good overall body length and proportions. Moved confidently but tended to pace. Reserve Best of Breed.

2nd Crocker’s LOTRINGHAM FREESLEY FETE a shapely rising 8 year old bitch who needs to settle to give of her best. She is pleasing in side profile and I preferred her front to 3rd. Active movement.

1st Watt’s MATSHA THAT’S AMORE AT SNUGGLEBROOK a 14 month old quality bitch who has an excellent head and expression. Well made in front and well balanced and of pleasing overall length in body. Best mover of the class. Best of Breed.

2nd Herring’s MATSONIC SURPRISE GUEST AT QUINGSHUI a 11 month old well coated and well made young bitch. She presents a very well proportioned attractive side profile. Needs to settle in movement.

1st Bevis’ STARLANCE FOLLOW MY WAY a well grown 10 month old male who has a very attractive head and expression. Well made front, body and hindquarters; he has pleasing bone, body and coat. Moved the best of this class. Best Puppy in Breed and Utility Puppy Group 2.

2nd Hirstwood’s QUINTRELLE I BELIEVE a very well made 8 month old bitch that has a very attractive overall shape. Attractive head and expression. Moved OK but needing to settle in front.

3rd Wayman’s MYNAPAW PERFECT SYMPHONY

1st Hirstwood’s QUINTRELLE COLOUR ME PRETTY a well made 4 year old who has a well constructed mature look. Pleasing in head and expression, well made front, body and hindquarters. Moved the better of this class. Reserve Best of Breed.

2nd Smith’s BALGAY MA BEAU AT SAXINA a very well coated 3 year old male who has an attractive head and an alert expression. Pleasing in overall shape and proportions. Lacked a bit of enthusiasm on the move.

3rd Conibere’s CHENREZI MY GIRL

Desirable overall size, proportions and balance presenting a very attractive side profile. Just enough coat over her well made body to present a very eye-catching breed typical picture. Preferred her head to 2nd. Moved well. Best of Breed.

2nd Hirstwood’s QUINTRELLE COLOUR ME HAPPY ShCM a well coated mature 4 year old of pleasing make and shape. Not as settled on the move as 1st.

2nd Williams Terry’s TAHIS SPIRIT TIGER LILY DOLKAR (IMP POL) a well coated 12 month old bitch who is of good shape and size. Pleasing in head shape and proportion. Preferred the body topline and hindquarters of 1st . Needs to be more settled on the move.

1st Jones’ BOLSHANTI LILIBELLE ShCM a mature 7 year old of pleasing size, proportions and side profile all of which I preferred to 2nd. Well made in front and body and moved with purpose and confidence and more serttled than 2nd. Reserve Best of Breed.

2nd Williams Terry’s Ch HURRICANE CHESTER MENDALA-DELAMA AT DOLKAR (IMP HUN) a sizeable upstanding rising 3 year old male who has profuse coat. Masculine head; plenty of substance in body. Tended to be unsettled in front on the move.

1st Pinkerton’s Japanese Spitz FLEURLILLY MAJIC STAR a rising 2 year old very smart well coated bitch whose appearance was all in proportion and balance. Very attractive head and expression, nicely made in body and hindquarters. Moved well with a positive true action.

2nd Woods’ PENBRO THE DUCHESS a 6 month old Miniature Schnauzer puppy and what quality in conformation and breed type. Very smart in appearance with everything fitting well together; So well constructed. Best AVNSC Puppy and winner of the Utility Puppy Group

2nd Spencer & Burr’s SILMORALBIONS ERIS a very impressive Eurasier rising 2 year old bitch who presents a very striking breed typical picture. Attractive in head which is set on a strong neck and well made body. Soundly made all through and moved soundly. Very close up to 1st.

3rd Smith’s Japanese Spitz CH KESSAKU BREAD AND HONEY AT SNOWSHOES ShCM making up a trio of top class dogs in this the best class of the day.

1st Woods & Braithwaite’s Miniature Schnauzer PENBRO KENSINGTON litter brother to my Best Utility puppy and he shares many of the merits and qualities. He is of pleasing overall construction and shape and has the movement to match.

2nd Bevis’ Tibetan Spaniel CH MALIA THE NEXT VERSE BY STARLANCE JW ShCM a very impressive 9 year old of notable overall make and shape. Very attractive in head and expression, well made front, body and reafr. Moved well although needing a little more enthusiasm would have helped.

Pastoral Group 1 was Robinson’s Shetland Sheepdog LAVIKA BLACK BEAUTY JW a quality rising 3 year old who is impressive in shape, balance, proportions and overall appearance. Super head and alert expression and having res;pensive ears. Well made front, body and hindquarters. Moved well with confidence.

Pastoral Group 2 was Willcock’s Samoyed DYNAR FIRST LOVE RSM JCH BEJCH BJWNL’19 a very striking 20 month old quality young bitch. She is impressive both standing and moving. Super head and expression, well proportioned body and stands on correct legs and feet. Attentive and shows herself to advantage. Active true movement.

Pastoral Group 3 was the Pembroke Corgi ZYDAHAYES SIR BRUCE a super quality junior male who is alert in outlook and presents a very smart well proportioned side profile. Attractive in head, pleasing overall length and firm top line. Moved well and free with good front action.

Pastoral Group 4 was Burgoyne & Goddard’s Cardigan Corgi WATERDEEP RANGER ONE JW ShCM a rising 3 year old male who has masculine but breed typical head and expression. Well made in front, he has firm substance of body. Moved with a free forward action.

PASTORAL PUPPY GROUP

Pastoral Puppy Group 1 was Cooper’s Bearded Collie TYBURY’S SONG OF ICE AND FIRE a well grown 8 month old puppy bitch who is well grown with desirable bone and body. Attractive in head and expression, true enough in front, well developed body and nicely let down hindquarters. Move with confidence and in typical puppy fashion.

Pastoral puppy Group 2 was Siviter’s Cardigan Corgi FAYWAIDD SPICE a very well developed 8 month old bitch puppy who has very pleasing bone and body. Very attractive head with alert and responsive good sized ears. Moved well and free although needing to be more settled in front acton.

Pastoral Puppy Group 3 was Argyle’s Samoyed ELYGRA PRECIOUS MOMENT a very promising 6 month old bitch puppy who has a very pleasing qualityappearance. Lovely head and breed typical smiling expression, excellent eyes and pigmentation. Enthusiastic on the move.

Pastoral Group 4 was Thomas’ Hungarian Puli MOURNEBRAKE BAD BISCUIT a very nice-looking 8 month old Hungarian Puli male; he has the basic essentials in construction to provide scope for development to a very nice quality adult. Pleasing to go over; moved with an active puppy action.
