Siberian Husky 

Postgraduate Dog/Bitch   ( 3,2 abs.) 

1. Mrs RJ Simms  ARCTICSKIES EYECATCHER JW Nicely balanced head with highset ears, obliquely placed eyes, scissor bite and keen expression. Good double coat and visually the back appears level. Sufficient depth of chest without excessive breadth. Shoulders a little forward but stifles well bent. Showed well displaying a rather long outline. Reserve Best Of Breed. 

Open Dog/Bitch    ( 2,1abs ) 

1. Simms  ARCTICSKIES THUNDER SNOW. Masculine head, great expression, strong arched neck carrying the head proudly when standing. Coat very heavy and suggesting a stout dog underneath which was not so. I also liked that you could not feel roached vertebrae in the centre of the back. Very balanced angulation front and rear, displaying free effortless movement and confident showmanship. Best Of Breed. 

Border Collie 

Junior D/B   ( 1.) 

1.  Mesd. H Aston, J Large & Mr D Rackham   JANBELL JUST THE TICKET FOR EDWINOAK. Initially rather agitated in the ring but when settled displayed strong, smooth rear movement. Breadth to skull and strong jaws with correct scissor bite. Well used ears. Strong neck, good coat, depth to chest. Tail carriage better when settled.Reserve Best Of Breed 

Postgraduate D/B  ( 3,1 abs.) 

1.  Mrs AS Elliott   GOYTRE BAMBURGH BEACH BABE  Good muscular neck, pleasing feminine head, lovely expression but could have made more use of her ears.  Unimpressed by her front and rear movement 

2.  Mrs KJ Frawley  LITTLETHORN INTERCEPTOR. A very large dog who repeatedly appeared to lose coordination and strength in the back legs. 

Open D/B   ( 2 ) 

1.  Mr T & Mrs P Buxton   SHANMILL MUST BE DREAMING AT MEISTERWERK. Pleasing head proportions and well used ears.Well sprung ribs with depth to chest and body. Moved very convincingly in outline and body length more in accordance with what the breed standard describes. In excellent coat. Best Of Breed 

2.  Miss S Jones   SIANWORTH HIGHLAND MIST OVER KELTIKLAN. Very alert, energetic and clearly enjoying the moment., but out of coat and appearing somewhat long and rangy in consequence. 

Airedale Terrier 

Puppy D/B   ( 1 ) 

1.  Mrs SR Steinke   TOULSYORK PERFECTIONIST AT TEMTIZ. Alert happy and active with well muscled hindquarters and compact outline. Sufficient length of neck carrying well balanced head high. Flat skull and depth to strong jaws. Level back, well sprung ribs without excessive breadth. Good depth to chest. Confident showmanship and movement. Best Puppy. 

Postgraduate D/B  ( 2 ) 

1.  Mr RG & Mrs IR Eastall   DAEDAL A TOUCH OF FROST. Lovely head with flat skull, barely visible stop and roughly equal length to skull and jaws. Cheeks free from fullness. Good reach of neck, strong topline and short strong loin. Confident in the ring and moving very well indeed. Best Of Breed 

2.  Mr M Milkovics  WEDERDENA’S STARGAZER. Broader in the skull, good depth to chest, level topline. Good rear movement, less impressive front. 

Bedlington Terrier 

Puppy D/B   ( 3 ) 

1.  V Rainsbury  MOLLORA SHOCK WAVE. Lively, active and friendly. Depth to skull and muzzle with correct scissor bite, carried high on good reach of neck. Curve over loin matched by underline. In good puppy coat. Confident showman with strong rear movement. Best Puppy & Reserve Best Of Breed. 

2.  Ms SE b& Mr D Baldwin  WOOLYTOP THE PIPER’S SON. Lovely head, but not much personality evident today.Less appealing in outline.

1.  WOOLYTOP THE PIPER’S SON.   As Above. 

2.  WOOLYTOP STAND AND DELIVER  Had a spring in his step but gave little other evidence of enjoying his moment in the ring. Movement fine, prefer more curve over loin. 

Open D/B  ( 2 ) 

1.  Mrs A Offer   WOOLYTOP THE WHERRYMAN ShCM.Lovely head and neck with bright, deep-set eyes. Good coat, depth to chest, flat-ribbed, good curves to loin and underline. Moved well and distinctively both ways. He knew he was there to impress. Best Of Breed 

2.  Ms M Godden  VAKURBLUE BACON BUTTIE. Lovely head, outline and not up to size like his competition.Let down by his movement. 

Deerhound 

Junior  ( 1 ) 

1. Mrs E Shannon  EREWHON FIREFLY. Good strong reach of neck carrying a well-shaped,tapering head of reasonable length. Jaws strong with correct scissor bite. Good depth of chest, ribbed well back. Well arched loin yet to fully develop.Tail low-set on the fall of croup and carried correctly. Harsh, shaggy coat developing well. So gentle for such a large dog. Reserve Best Of Breed 

Open D/B  ( 2 ) 

1.  Shannon  EREWHON WANTON FLAME. Feminine head, good reach of neck and depth of chest. Athletic with great overall balance and lovely outline. Showed and moved very well. Excellent coat. Best Of Breed 

2.  Shannon  EREWHON CELESTIAL FIRE. Well proportioned masculine head, good coat but less neck and weaker hindquarters adversely affecting fluency of movement. 

Rhodesian Ridgeback 

Puppy D/B  ( 1 ) 

1.  Miss F Connolly & Mr A White NGUVU RIDGIN TONIC. Well placed ears and breadth to skull. Dark pigmentation and muzzle strong and deep with correct scissor bite. Good neck length free from throatiness .Lovely coat presentation with clearly defined ridge. When settled to it, showed well displaying superb front and rear movement. Best Puppy & Reserve Best Of Breed. 

Open D/B  ( 2 ) 

1.  Mrs LA Cox   CH CARLINCOX FIRST CLASS  JW ShCM. So pleased to have such a fine example to go over. Powerfully built with strong bone and in superb show presentation with a brilliant handler, this exhibit displayed outstanding balanced movement and steady temperament.. Truly impressed. Best Of Breed. 

2.  Connolly & White   BELLE EPOQUEOF NGUVU  (IMP. ITA.) Well constructed, good proportions overall but with some untidiness in movement which more training and better handling could certainly help to minimize. 

English Setter 

Puppy D/B   ( 1 ) 

1.  Mr NS Bryant, Miss EMC Bryant, Mrs VL Hollis  SILVAMOON STORM TROOPER FOR PHENSET. Excellent coat presentation, and a very confident puppy in the ring. Moved with balanced reach and drive, head held high on a good reach of neck.Depth to chest and well ribbed up.Best Puppy. 

Junior D/B  ( 3 ) 

1.  Mr J & Mrs C Bailey  RAVENSETT SEVILLE AT GWITHIAN. Lovely balanced head with good stop and depth to muzzle.Good length to lean, strong neck.Back level, ribs well sprung and strong, free, balanced movement. Fully committed showman and in excellent coat Best Of Breed. 

2.  SILVAMOON STORM TROOPER FOR PHENSET. As in last class. 

3.  Mrs AM Naulls  SUNNY SIDE UP. 

Postgraduate D/B  ( 3,1 abs.( 

1.  RAVENSETT SEVILLE AT GWITHIAN.  As in last class 

2.  Mrs SD Cook  BRIDGELLA’S SOPHIE LAUREN AT PERNICKETY. No large patches of colour on the coat, but not much flecking either.Feminine head with correct bite and lovely slightly arched neck.Could look quite elegant in outline, but tended to double track when coming and going. Very cheerful and friendly. 

Open D/B  ( 3,1 abs.) 

1.  Cook  PERNICKETY ETIQUETTE. Lovely to go over standing. Balanced head with well placed ears, some depth to muzzle and correct bite; good neck. Stands with a natural balance, but moved with somewhat untidy front action. Reserve Best Of Breed. 

2.  Naulls  SILMANHURST GOLDEN HUGO. Good masculine head with strong neck and level topline. In good coat. Not impressive on the move. 

Irish Setter 

Puppy   ( 1 ) 

1.  Mr AR & Mrs PA Adams   HARREDS SOPHIE AT DANBRYELI. Well balanced and sound pup with promising head, good arched neck, strong topline, depth to chest and driving hindquarters. Would benefit from firmer handling. Best Puppy. 

Junior  ( 1 ) 

1.  Mr C & Mrs CE Turner   GWENDARIFF I WON’T FORGETU. In outline lovely balanced both standing and moving. Well proportioned head with sufficient depth to jaws carried on a good length of neck. Strong sloping topline and depth to chest. On the move, a bit narrow behind. 

Postgraduate   ( 2..) 

1.  Miss L Bougen  GWENDARIFF HOT TICKET JW. Well balanced standing and moving.. Balanced head proportions with dark eyes and well placed ears.Good reach of neck, ribbed well back with a good strong loin. Reserve Best Of Breed. 

2.  Turner  GLENNLOKHEN BRUICHLADDICH. Also a pleasing head, with lighter eyes and I would prefer slightly more neck. Very confident showmanship, lovely coat but double-tracking on the move. 

Open ( 1.) 

1. Mr K & Mrs C Bailey, Mr G & Mrs K Condron   COVARNEY LIL’ RASCAL JW ShCM. Admired this boy with his dark eyes, nice rise to brows, cheerful expression, strong jaws and correct bite. Good neck length, strong sloping topline, depth to chest and good spring of rib without being barrel chested. Excellent free-flowing movement and keen showmanship. Best Of Breed. 

Pointer 

Puppy   ( 1 ) 

1.  Miss S Bircham & Mrs A Oval   JIMAURA FLAMENCO QUEEN. Well balanced, very sound with an inherent natural grace.Very promising head, good neck and apparently effortless movement which was a joy to watch. Best Puppy. 

Junior    ( 3 ) 

1.  Miss G Adams, Mr K Adams & Miss L Scales   FISHERBLOOM RE’ENCOUNTERED.Lovely head with good stop and a slightly concave topline to the muzzle Wide nostrils. Excellent soundness and balance with smooth purposeful movement. Best Of Breed. 

2.  Ms C Roberts  FANMATRIX ROLL TIGER ROLL. Well proportioned head, good neck, depth to chest and short-coupled. Much lighter in build and somewhat untidy in movement. 

3.  Mrs C Razzell & Miss C Hazeltine   HOOKWOOD BLONDIE 

Postgraduate   ( 6 ) 

1.  Adams & Scales   FISHERBLOOM FANCY THAT. Very intelligently handled bitch with clean, smooth balanced movement. Strong neck and well proportioned head with slight concavity to topline of muzzle. 

2.  Mr N & Mrs J Thorpe   AMIRYCK GET UP AND RUN AT BRAEGORSE. Very attractive in many ways, but seemed to me well up to size in height weight and bone. Well proportioned skull and muzzle. Excellent rear drive. 

3.  Mrs CL Roberts  MEDOGOLD BLACK BETTY BY KANANASKIS 

Open   ( 2 ) 

1.   Mrs C Razzell   THE ARTFUL ARCHER OF HOOKWOOD. Pleasing head, well balanced construction. Very confident and moving with a smooth free action covering plenty of ground. Reserve Best Of Breed. 

2.   C Roberts   FANMATRIX OH WHAT A NIGHT. Stood well displaying good head, neck and chest, but appearing slightly long in body. Today, on the move appeared to crouch slightly creating an impression of being low to the ground. 

Labrador Retriever 

Puppy   ( 1 ) 

1.  Mr A & Mrs J Metcalfe   BAILEYDALE’S OOH BETTY. Happy and confident with breadth to skull, wide nose, strong jaws and correct bite. Short-coupled with well sprung barrel ribs and depth to chest. Level topline Best Puppy 

Junior   ( 1 ) 

1.  Metcalfe  CARROMER JACK FLASH TO BAILEYDALE JW Belg Jr Ch. Short-coupled balanced outline with strong neck and masculine head. Outgoing and attentive to handler, moving with real ease and purpose displaying straight true movement both ways just as the breed standard asks. Best Of Breed. 

Postgraduate  ( 1 ) 

1.  Mrs J Raynor   ROSSCLYDE HIGHLAND JET. Confident showgirl, shown in good coat with a strong neck and pleasing head with breadth to skull Also breadth and depth in body, with a little extra length in loin as is common in bitches. Tail carried well. Reserve Best Of Breed. 

English Springer Spaniel 

Puppy   ( 1 ) 

1.  Mr M & Mrs K Keely   ALHAMBIAN BON SCOTT. Still got a lot to learn about ringcraft, but a very promising puppy with good strong well-coupled body and no apparent flaws in movement when he settled. Best Puppy 

Postgraduate   ( 1.) 

1.  Miss Z Wilson   ZAWSPRING SUMMER HONEY.. Well proportioned head with depth and breadth to muzzle. Correct bite, well placed eyes and ears. Strong hindquarters, moved well. Reserve Best Of Breed 

Open ( 3,2 abs.) 

1.  Keely   SHIPDEN ALHAMBIAN DIANA DORS. Confident showgirl in good coat. Lovely well proportioned feminine head with well placed brown almond shaped eyes radiating the joy of living. Sufficient breadth and depth to muzzle, correct bite. Muscular slightly arched neck, well sprung ribs, depth to chest, strong topline and hindquarters. Excellent on the move with typical reach and drive. Best Of Breed. 

Welsh Springer Spaniel 

Puppy   ( 1 ) 

1. Miss LD Lloyd   JULITA RYATARA Lovely mover with strong rear drive. Well sprung ribs with depth to chest, strong loin and enough length to neck. Very well trained, cheerful and attentive. Best Puppy & Reserve Best Of Breed.

1. Mrs G Cooper   ISFRYN LADY GREY OF GILSTONIA . Well constructed bitch, without excessive length of body or legs. Strong topline, good neck and in well presented coat. Happy disposition, free-flowing movement with excellent rear drive. Best Of Breed. 

Weimaraner 

Postgraduate ( 2.1 abs.) 

1.  Miss MD Finch   SILBERLISS SUMMER OF LOVE. Very positive and strong on the move. Stands well with lovely neck, topline and tail-set.  Well proportioned head with strong jaws, correct bite and well carried high-set ears. In excellent condition including well presented sleek coat. Best Of Breed. 

Open  ( 2,1 abs ) 

1.  Finch   Int. Sh. Ch..Nl/Lux. Ch. SILVESTRE LAST TANGO WITH SILBERLISS JW. Also confident, well balanced and excellent on the move with strong rear action. Keen showgirl and much to like but just not in the best show condition today. Reserve Best Of Breed. 

AVNSC Gundog 

Puppy    ( 3 ) 

1. Mrs AR Porter-Manning & Mr G Porter Hung. Vizsla   WALLAROO HAWK EYE. Very well presented with lovely clean balanced outline. Muscular, with level back and moderate breadth to chest. Muzzle squared off at the end. Long arched neck well used. Very good on the move with elbows close to chest. Best AVNSC Puppy     

2. Mr I Sladden  Bracco Italiano  TYRBECHGYN BELIEVE YOU WILL AT CANEMAMANS. Lovely to watch on the move. Confident showman with square-ish outline, depth to chest.and strong bone in legs. Prefer well fitting eyelids. 

3. Porter-Manning  Hung. Vizsla   SILVESTRE’S SCARLET WITCH

1.  WALLAROO HAWK EYE   as above 

2.  SILVESTRE’S SCARLET WITCH. Also very confident ring presence, soundly constructed overall with good topline and movement. Maybe a shade more neck?

1. Miss A Slack  GSP.  PINGARRYPOINT LEGOLUSTROUS. Lovely bitch quite superb on the move with sound well muscled hindquarters.. Good reach of neck and strong topline 

2. Mr D & Mrs J Spillane  Hung. W/H Vizsla   BELATARR JUPITER. Also outstanding mover with firm elbows and strong loin, great showmanship

1. Mrs LE Dawson   Am. Cocker Spaniel   ADEVA MAGIC MACHINATOR AT LUPHENEX. Compact and confident with excellent top-line and movement. In good puppy coat Non-stop showman.

1. Miss C Chapman  NSDT Retriever  KATIMBA TREBBIANO At DKAI. Confident, alert expression always attentive to handler. Lovely coat but, though hardly the worst of issues, I always regret the absence of a white-tipped tail. Impressed on the move. 

2. HOOKWOOD BLONDIE. Clean outline, strong muscled hindquarters and well cushioned oval feet with arched toes.Today I found her a little plain in head, but she still has time.

1. Mrs J Wells  Golden Retriever   PEARLBARN PERONI. Balanced well constructed outline, but movement a little untidy coming and going .Lovely head and expression, so eager to please and in good coat 

2. MEDOGOLD BLACK BETTY BY KANANASKIS  Placed third in her breed class. . 

3. Mrs Clarke  Golden Retriever  LESTORM SAPHIRE BLUE

2. Wells  Golden retriever  PEARLBARN POT OF GOLD. Lovely head and expression and a pleasing outline. But loose elbows and carrying some superfluous weight today.

1. Mr & Mrs Wildman  Cocker Spaniel  MYSTICAL MILOW AT CHANMALO  ShCM Smart, compact outline with short strong loin. Well proportioned head, strong neck and topline. In excellent coat and that tail never stopped wagging. Good movement still. 

2. Miss MD Finch Weimaraner   INT. SH. CH/NL/LUX CH DEIFSTOCK DANDEE RED ShCM. Clean, strong outline. Confident showmanship, very attentive to handler and moving well.
