1st Brooks & Cairns’ Corursus Under The Ivy. 15 month pied bitch. Square head with typical French Bulldog expression, good mouth, strong arch to neck leading to well made front. Well sprung ribs, cobby body with good tuck up. Correct tail. Moved typically. RBOB 2nd Mulryne’s Mactawbay Stop’N’Stare avec Frenetbull. 8 month fawn dog. Promising young boy with a very well made head, correct mouth and well set ears. Well balanced, cobby body with good bone. Full of FB attitude and bouncy on the move, which coupled with the uneven ground made his movement difficult to asses. One I shall watch with interest. BP

1st Brooks & Cairns’ Corursus Under The Ivy. 2nd Stidwell’s Washoe I Got The Girl at Beaufrogz. 13 month fawn bitch. Liked her typical head with dark eye and well placed ears, used to advantage. Strong neck leading to well made cobby body with good bone. Feminine but still giving the impression of strength. Still a little loose when moving at the moment, but once she matures she will trouble the best I’m sure.

1st Stidwell’s Lairdstom Oban Boy at Beaufrogz. 2yr old well marked pied dog. Classic strong masculine head with dark expressive eyes, well placed ears, good mouth. Strong neck leading to well made, cobby body with good bone, correct tail. Well made all through and this showed in his typical Frenchie movement which was a pleasure to watch. BOB 2nd Brooks & Cairns’ Corursus The Glamerous Life JW ShCM. 3yr old brindle bitch. Feminine girl with a pretty head, lovely dark pigment, typical bat ears which she used to advantage. Dark eyes and good mouth. Strong neck, good angles front and rear. Not as cobby as 1st.

1st Chudley’s Kabocha Peter Pan. 9 month old dog. Promising baby with dark expressive oval eyes, erect ears used to advantage, good mouth. Well balanced body with well sprung ribs, level topline. Tail set on well. In good coat for age. He moved very well and I did consider him for BOB but he had to give way to the maturity of my open winner. RBOB/BP/PG4

1st Chudley’s Kabocha Tiger Lily. 9 month old bitch, litter sister to previous class winner and similar comments apply. A very feminine young lady with typical spitzy head and sound movement. Presented in beautiful condition as were all the dogs from this kennel.

1st Chudley’s Ch Kessaku Pumpkin Paws ShCM. 5yr old bitch in peak condition. Classic breed type spitz head with the darkest of pigment. Oval eyes and well placed ears used to advantage. Good mouth. Well made body with good angles front and rear. In full sparkling coat. Sound and typical on the move. Showed her socks off in the challenge which gave her BOB over her kennel mates. G4.

1st Carter’s Belazieth Sundance Kid with Alamiks JW. Stylish 19 month old gold and white dog. He strode into the ring with an arrogance that impressed me from the start. Super to go over, has a classic, well proportioned Apso head with good mouth, dark expressive eyes, and well feathered ears. Correct neck leading to well made front with well laid shoulders. Level topline, held on the move. Strong rear quarters giving good drive. Well plumed tail set correctly. Presented in first class condition, he moved around the ring as if he owned it. Could not be denied the top spot on today’s performance. BOB/G1

1st Woods & Braithwaite’s Penbro Kensington. 8 month old pepper & salt dog of classic breed type. I have admired this boy from the ringside, delighted to get my hands on him. Built for purpose, he is sturdy and gives the impression of a powerhouse in miniature. Correct head properties with good furnishings and excellent pigment. Strong neck with slight arch leading to a strong, straight front, correct backline and depth of chest. Good angles front and rear and tight feet. Harsh jacket with good undercoat. Moved correctly and with reach and drive. BOB/BP/G2/PG1

2nd Woods’ Penbro The Duchess 8 month old pepper & salt bitch. Litter sister to 1st and similar comments apply, she too is beautifully made and ultra feminine. I just preferred the overall presence of her brother. What a fantastic duo, their breeders can be justifiably proud. RBOB

1st Myers’ Ersmy Oobee Doo 9 month old pepper & salt dog. Lovely furnishings on this youngster. Good head with correct bite, strong neck, well made front and good deep chest, well sprung ribs. Moved out well with style and plenty of drive.

1st Marshall’s Arabesque at Devonia (imp Rus) 12 month old Keeshond dog. So good for size and shape. Correct spitz head with good mouth, excellent pigment and small pointed ears well set, dark almond eyes, all combined to give great expression. Compact body, well made all through. In full coat with correct markings. Moved very well and finished in a perfect stand. Res Best AVNSC. 2nd Silsbury’s Jadoremy Red Bounty Legacy. 12 month old red & white Shih Tzu dog.Typical head with plenty of beard and whiskers and good wide nostrils. Sturdy body with good broad chest. A little cautious on the table today but moved out with confidence, holding his level top line. 3rd Silsbury’s Jadoremy Red Bounty Forever. Shih Tzu.

1st Silsbury’s Jadoremy Dashing Hero. 5yr old black & white Shih Tzu dog. Liked his masculine head with large dark eyes full of arrogance. He dared me to put him anywhere but 1st! Well made, sturdy body and good tail set. In mature coat. Moved well maintaining his level topline. 2nd Caudrelier’s Hikays Back To Black. 5yr old black & tan Shiba Inu dog. Well made dog of good type, typical Shiba head and expression, good mouth. In great body condition and moved correctly. Unfortunately casting his coat and this lost him the top spot today. Would like to see him in full coat, he would take some beating!

1st Spencer & Burr’s Silmoralbions Eris. 23 month old pale gold Eurasier bitch. One I have admired from the ringside since she was a puppy. Very sound to go over. Typical Spitzy head with good breed properties. Well muscled and in firm condition, level back and well set tail. Moved out well Best AVNSC 2nd Baker’s Smart Connection Oh Oh Seven at Sarum. 18 month old black Miniature Poodle dog. Classy poodle of a very nice type. Masculine head, well chiseled foreface and dark expressive eyes. well balanced, well made body. In super coat, presented to perfection. Moved out well, with typical poodle attitude. 3rd Silsbury’s Jadoremy Thunder Bolt Zuse ShCM. Shih Tzu.

1st Wayman’s Starlance Sargeant Pepper for Mynapaw. JW ShCM. 7yr old sable Tibetan Spaniel dog, an old favourite of mine. Great head with all the desired points, still maintaining his level topline, standing and on the move. A lovely example of the breed in mature male coat. BVIG. 2nd Hale’s Ersmy Swings The Mood JW ShCM. 7yr old pepper & salt Miniature Schnauzer. In lovely condition, well bodied moved very well, full of enthusiasm. 3rd Rutley’s Ch Javey’s Here Comes Summer. Tibetan Terrier.

1st Thorner’s Ch Tolutim Drambuie ShCM. 11yr old Dalmatian bitch. A super example of the breed, well made with good spotting. Liked her type and construction. Shown in firm condition, still striding out like a youngster. A credit to her owner.
